Left voice message. Said WellCare. (It's a Medicare part D prescription plan). A plan I have, by the way. The automated voice system  said they needed to get updated important info from me. (Flag)? This number is different from wellcare main customer service number, which is 888-550-5252. I did not call back. Quite frankly, with all the criminal elements working overtime and having advanced technology to spoof numbers and work every angle, it's probably best not to divulge any personal info over phone . They can do the mail route if it's legit. There is absolutely no oversite on this problem. Was this a legitimate call. Hard to say. If they need to reach me there is always the mail . I have been bombarded with phone calls from scammers, salespeople and every charity you could imagine.  Some days I just unplug the landline.

Caller left voice message, said he was from WellCare. Wanted new info. I did not return call because number does not match WellCare numbers. Probably a phishing attempt.

As others said, identified as WellCare, left voice message requesting I call because they need important info on me. I don’t think it’s legit and didn’t return call.

I called the number back and they answered thank you for calling WellCare, is this , and my name , I said yes and I got a click

On Thursday December 14, 2017 a message was left on my land line answering machine. They said it was WellCare calling and needed to update my information. Like the other postings on this site I checked the callback number and it  did not match any of the WellCare phone numbers listed on my membership card or their website. If they want to update any information they can do it by mailing the request via the U S Postal Service that way if it is a scam they can be investigated for fraud by the US Postal Inspectors.

I just got the same call said they were from Wellcare and wanted to verify important information.  Wellcare did pop up on the ID. So I called wellcare its a survey.

Same as the other reports, they left a message on my recorder, said it was Well Care and needed important information. I'm not calling them back after seeing the reports on here.  Called about 1pm

Called from a number that registered on the caller ID as "Mexico"  522 (55) 6316 7691.  Of course I didn't answer it.  The message said the same thing as everyone above about WellCare needing important info.  Left THIS 855 toll-free number to call, but like everyone else said, it didn't match any of WC's numbers.  I called the number on my card, and after 20 minutes on hold, and reading these, I hung up.  Will call again later, maybe.  I've never in 10 years had them call me...ever.

I received the same call about an hour ago.  I went ahead and called Wellcare's Fraud and Abuse line (866-678-8355), but the call goes to a company called Navex.  I still filed a report with them that will then be sent to Wellcare for review.  Another number to call could be the Fraud and Abuse Attorney General's Hotline, which is 1-866-966-7226.  It upsets me that the call knew my father's first and last name, and it would be great that with enough calls to fraud hotlines, perhaps this company can get shut down.

I agree with last posting. Donot fall for unwanted calls looking for information. Second time I received this WellCare call.

have been receiving this call for a month, I have this wellcare plan but afraid that its not the same # I have for this company. is this call real or scam I picked up the phone but it was a recording, with this # they also have the name of person involved thank you

I have also been receiving calls stating it's "wellcare".  They left a message to call 855-958-9866. The number on my caller Id was 267-954-9957.  I no longer have Wellcare.

the call indicated the company name as Wellcare saying they need to update info. A different phone number was given to call them back. Why would I enter my phone number confirming myself when they supposedly already have my phone number? I hung up, they were possibly hackers or scammers.

What the hell going on??! I going to call the FCC to find out about this, because there are some stupid dirts playing with our medications pieces of information and these hackers will be put in JAIL!    I MEAN IT!! It could be any dirts  from the lobby of Washington, D.C.  playing game against the AMERICANS, I am NOT saying that,but who know. I DO NOT LIKE GAMES PLAYING AGAINST THE AMERICANS AND THAT MEAN YOU, FOLKS, TOO!!

This very convincing recording, using a lovely women's voice, says they need to update information.  They should use US POSTAL service if it is legit.  These are scammers, IMHO  The number which shows up on the caller ID is different from the one my ATT service recorded which was:  267-954-9957.

I so far have received 4 calls with Wellcare in the caller id. The first call, I answered and a recorded message began to play. When the recorded message asked for my date of birth, I hung up.

I called Wellcare's customer service line at 1-888-550-5252. According to the customer representative I talked to the call back number 855-958-9866 is LEGITIMATE and is collecting survey information for Wellcare, and there are no problems with my account. I still will not answer the robocalls or call back that number as with all the scam callers out there NO HONEST COMPANY SHOULD EVER EVEN THINK OF DOING THIS.  Perhaps if Wellcare gets no response to their survey they will stop the calls.

I also filed a fraud/abuse report with Navex. Wellcare's mess, let them clean it up.

I have gotten this same call for 3 weeks. It pops up on my cellphone caller id as "Scam Likely" phone number 267-954-9957 asking me to call back 855-958-9866 needing to update important information about my account.

They called and left message. They said they were Wellcare. They wanted to ask some questions. Not on my list of valid numbers for Wellcare.

Exact same #'s as taken from a complaint in Dec. 2017. It is now Dec. 2018. Third time have gotten this call in 2 weeks. Once was human - I hung up on, other 2 were recordings with inserts of live voice stating my name. Did not - and will not call (whoever) back!..Info from other complaints --> They left a message to call 855-958-9866. The number on my caller Id was 267-954-9957.
