I just received a call from this number and when I answered, there was no one on the other end.  If this is an "alert" number, why did I get no response when I answered?

"Emergency Information" call... Although they don't respect any hours-- as they have called me at 7am.
This number has potential for pushing PRO-GOVERNMENT propaganda in the future.
    I'm blocking this crap.

It was the new and improved code red system in my town.  The Board of Health is having a "prescription drug drop-off day" at the local police station again this year.

This number came up on my computer. It's stated that someone was trying to hack my computer and to call this number immediately for Apple support. I  looked up the support number independently and it was different. I called Apple and they said  this is not their number. Total scam! This may be a valid code red number but there are ways for people to use other numbers instead of the one which they are calling from to hide the actual identity.

I would think a person in emergency surgery would leave her phone in her locker and check her missed calls when she got a chance.  This could be what Linda Robinson did.  She really didn't specify when she checked the call. Everyone seems to be anxious to judge without all the facts.  Just a thought.

I blocked it. While it's technically "legitimate," this crap is banned from my phone. The 911 service temporarily goes down at 3 AM, one of these calls comes in. It's back up at 4:30 AM, another of these calls comes in. I am perfectly capable of figuring out if there's a flood, tornado, hurricane, whatever coming. So stop spamming my phone at crazy hours with useless alerts, you idiots!

I would like to find out how to remove my mother's number from this call list.  She is 91 and does not need to be awakened in the middle of the night with these calls.

It's legit. Got a call tonight from my city's PD about a recent surge in IRS phone scams targeting local residents. (I've received 3 of those scam calls myself in the past two days)

I've gotten calls letting me know there was a lost 5 year old in my area. Gave description and what they were wearing at last seen. Best money our PD ever spent. Have been notified of criminals being hunted, auto break-ins, elderly missing and other urgent information needed to keep us safe. At least in our area, this is not a scam.

Left a robo message about trucks coming through the neighborhood to shred documents.  Sounds like a scam to me, they probably have a gizmo on the shredder that copies your info before it shreds it.

The trouble with this is if you get a new phone number from a previous user.  I get a CodeRed that says...alternate side parking is now in affect...tell me how that is useful?  For all I know it could be some parking place on Mars.  I got online to the CodeRed website and typed in the number and necessary information to have them remove the number.  I do not know at this point if it will even work.  They need to provide an opt out option if you call back that same number.
