i have seen so many different vehicles from these people that its truly ridiculous that someone cant catch them. Im a mother of 5 and they just took my money and ran but trust me I wont give up I am not gonna let them just keep what I worked hard for.I have my law enforcement working on my case but its like I read in someone elses blog since we are just the little people nobody wants to help us and this is very true I have contacted craigslist only to be told its not there problem. so if you have any suggestions email me with anything Im all ears martinezsherry94@yahoo.com  I want to get  these people so bad . all day long I  flag there cars so maybe I can save someone the hardship of learning the hard way.

did you hear that congress passed something last week to get  craigslist, ebay etc. to prove these are legitimate sales so hopefully we can see some improvement or even some of the money lost. We just found out that we were scammed too!  Thought we did all the due diligence to check CarFax,Ebay Motors....should have gotten curious when the seller didn't provide a contact number when asked.  The was selling a Lexus RX 300 for $4,800.  Had us wire money through MoneyGram to an "Ebay Agent" ~ Tony Peters 76 Columbus Ave. NY, NY 10012  The seller named Msgt Gary Coleman who represented he was out of Alaska.  The car was to be delivered within 3 to 5 days.   This number 858-408-3555 was listed as a voicemail/fax number.  Just finished speaking with local authorities to file a report.  I happened to goggle this number to find everyone's similar complaint. Does anyone have any knowledge of recourse?

i just found an "AMAZING" deal on a 2003 Honda, and even did a carfax report on it, and it was perfect, but i decided to be nosy and google this "Sgt. David J Loranty". BTW, the car hasnt sold yet, so i hope you are all doing your homework and come across this!!! ITS A SCAM!!!!!!! he says he is in spain, and can have it sent for free by cargo plane right to my adress. uh huh, BUT he never asked for my address...lol so, just watch out people! if it sounds too good to be true, IT PROBABLY IS!!!

He just emailed me back saying everything that you guys have posted. This time he used a name under Bill Bequette a Tech Sgt in the US Air Force. He wants me to send him MoneyGram to the UK and he would ship the car and I will have 5 days to decide if I want the car or not and I could get my money refunded back no questions asked from eBay Motors. I got skeptical when the style of formal writing in the first email and the grammer spelling got real bad. BE CAREFUL GUYS! I hope everybody does their research before making any payments online! the best way to find these people is thru  the ISP address (number that is) there are many programs that will give you this.
another way is to see the whois registration (ICANN) most are registered by domains by proxy - so a criminal investigation would need to be initiated to supeona the real domain owner from domains by proxy.
i actually contact these fraudsters once in a while and pull there chain and tell them i sent the money to them - they deserve some abuse or JAIL

WOW! I am so glad I checked the phone number first! My husband and I were out the door to make the Money Gram payment and something told me to check the number to see what would come up. Of course, I found this group, and not any affirmation that the number belonged to e-bay or Moneygram. This guy is calling himself Staff Sargeant Richard Parks of the United States Air Force. The contact, "e-bay agent," is Colin Smith of Romford, UK. He advertised a 2006 Toyota Tundra, fully loaded for $4800.00.  I KNEW IT WAS TOO GOOD TO BE TRUE!!!!!

He was in the middle of trying to scam me but i did my research and found this and many other sites that said the same thing. I am playing dumb with him and i am going to try to get more info and hopefully get some of you your money back, and put him in jail. I almost fell for the 06 toyota tundra scam. He said he was Richard Parks and located in the UK but the truck still had CA plates even though the carfax he sent me showed the truck was from Chicago. I hope i can help all of you.

I was looking at the Toyote Tundra.
I suspected it was fake early.  
Only to have my hunch confirmed when he sent me a false ebay motors bill thru a shell website vppsafepayment.com
I searched the fax number and found this.  I kept all the emails, car pictures, and the original craigslist ad if it will help in any investigations.
