I knew there was something wrong with the 2002 Toyota Celica Tsunami edition because they didn't start production of the Tsunami edition until 2004. Also the car was $6000 under Kelly Blue Book. I then sent this [***] an email pretending to be interested and then googled his alleged name and found this site. He replied with the usual lie that you all have documented so well. I then accused him of being a scam artist and them proceeded to launch into the most vulgar insult storm ever. I attacked his sexual prefernce, his manhood, his mother, his intelligence. Paragraph after paragraph I pounded away at him. His response was genuine. He reacted emotionaly to my insults. This is the most truth I have heard from this lowlife. I now have an ongoing insult battle with this man. Here is a copy of his last email to me, I will spare you the details of the reply email prior to this.

Sorry to expose you to this individuals profanity but I think this email gives us a lot to work with as far as what kind of profile were dealing with. I would say that with 100% certainty that this individual is a male. The spelling and grammar is sub 5th grade level. It is loaded with hypocracy and the slang says a lot. I'm sure this is a ring with more than one individual but if were creative we can make them look over thier shoulders.

I found the same thing on Minneapolis Cragislist. I responded to it 30 minutes after it went up, reported it to Cragslist and copied him on the Email with the subject line SCAM Cragslist Posting ID xxxxxxxxxx. It was off Craigslist the next morning. He responded to me saying that E-Bay would be the go-between for the payment....How bold could he be still trying to get me to buy the 2002 Celica after alerting it as fraud. I also composed a very strong worded E-Mail to him trying to push his buttons a little. I will keep this site updated of his response. He makes a convinced arguement but for all you that are looking to get a good deal "If it seems too good to be true, it probably is"

Same scam, they are still doing it.  I got the e-mail today with the fake e-bay invoice telling me to send the money by western union to the ebay agent in the UK.

it was not craigslist fault you were scammed any more than it would be a newspapers fault if you posted a classified for sale ad and some scam artist got your number from there.  craigslist is a FREE service which holds no responsibility for the people using it AND evens warns sellers NOT to deal with nonlocal people and has a dedicated page to avoid being scammed which is linked to the very first page YOU are susposed to read before posting an item for sale. do your homework and take it as a life lesson

Don't fall for this trick please.  He's not legit!!
