got a call from 860-885-5399 didn't pick up as I do not answer any 800 calls no message left. But thanks for all the useful info on this sight.

I received a call from an Indian person and he said he was calling because I had several critical errors at the server and wanted to know if I was by my computer.  I told him that "sounded like total [***] and hung up on him."

saw this info here and figured I'd report it too. Missed the call so did not talk to anyone. Claiming to be from Norwich, CT

Husband got call around 11 AM, now I have received one this late evening.  Our caller ID says "China"!  Good tip-off not to answer!  Thanks for the info.  Always good to check on this site and know our instincts were well founded.

This number called my wife's cell. Caller ID stated Norwich, CT. Her cell received a call from 860-647-5825. Research revealed that number is connected to a computer scam just like the posts here. Probably the same [***].

I received a call on my cell from "China," too.

That number should read 860-646-5825.

Got the Geek Squad scam call and told them I knew it was a scam  call  and hung up.

I was advised that Microsoft is going to shut down my computer. I said I am going to notify Microsoft of this call.

9/17/2015 @ 7:22pm. Calling at a time to get you home and possibly after dinner time. No message was left and don't know the caller, so you know it is a telemarketer calling.

Scam caller. Keeps calling my cell phone, will not answer when I say hello.

Unknown number so I didn't answer and I didn't request a call from this number. Thought these types of calls were supposed to be banned -- why can't it have a universal block put on it.

So a few weeks ago, some scammers got my Aunt, hook, line, and sinker. It was the scam where they called, said they were from Microsoft and there was a problem with her computer. She fell for it and ended up paying them a few hundred bucks, which she got back, I think.  Anyways, tonight i just got called by the same type of scam.  I kept the Indian lady on for almost five minutes.  Made it sound like I was taking her totally seriously.  And then I F*CKING UNLOADED ON HER
I can promise her ear hurts.

Also received a call from this number with a Norwich, Conn location, but no one spoke when I answered the call.  Wondering if someone could invent software that would repeatedly call back such numbers, so that they would be rendered useless to the spammers.  Harass the harassers!  I considered doing this manually, but I guess I do have a life.

Wife and i both got calls from china whithin five minutes of each other. Total bull.

I can't believe these scammers are still out there.  Does anyone now a days fall for this crap?

It is a scam! They have called me from multiple numbers saying that they are the irs and have a law suit against me! It's an automated voice and I cannot talk to anyone.

I got a call this morning and they woke me up. I have a rotten cold and was sleeping in, so I was mad to begin with. Some indian sounding guy told me my computer had a virus and he was going to take care of it for me. I told him, "I don't think so a$$hat! This is a scam and I am now putting a curse on you." I mumbled some gibberish and told him he was now cursed for trying to scam people. He got very upset and I told him to never call back. Some idiot in Connecticut thinks he now has some kind of curse on him, so maybe he will stop making a living scamming people.

Received call, 2 days after updating my Geek Squad coverage, and told me my computer was infected.  Informed woman, although was difficult to understand her, when she said I had to go to my computer that I was not at home and would call Geek Squad upon my return.  I just hung up rather than listen to any further instructions.

Called at 1:30 PM CST.  Did not recognize the Caller ID phone number and immediately blocked it with my trusty CPR Call Blocker (it blocks up to 1200 scumbag callers !! ).  End of problem.
