Just got a phone call and didn't answer.. they asked about the where abouts of my brother and to call them back immediately. this is totally scam!

This number has called both our home and cell phones claiming they are a deputy marshal looking for my daughter. They seem to have a great deal of information about our family, but I think it is a scam. Never clearly identifies himself or agency.

These idiots called my daughter pretending to be someone collecting money on a debt. I told her (my daughter) it was a scam and to give me their number and I would call and take care of it. Long story short, the disgusting sounding woman who would not identify herself was a hot mess via the discussion. I asked her to send me proof of this collection via email or even snail mail and she would not. She then told me the phone call was being recorded as if I cared. So, I told her it was great on her behalf that the call was being recorded because she would have her proof that she and I spoke about this so called loan, when I take them to court due to these fraudulent calls. Well, not to my surprise, she told me to, "Go home and find some dishes and wash them." I mean really. I am going to call them everyday just because. These type of people need to be stopped ASAP.

Left me a voicemail a robo voice came on saying looking for the whereabouts of Crystal Fournier I believe it's a scam.

Keep getting calls for Anthony Vasquez......Anthony turn yourself in.... sick and tired of these calls

this is a collection agency calling themselves "Coastal" or CFS Mediation. I am in the collection industry and these calls are 100% illegal and a violation of FDCPA policy. Very amaturistic company. They have to identify themselves as a collection agency (which they do not), they can not leave this sort of message looking for someone else on your phone. They are formally attempting to mislead you. Your best bet is to not delete the message that they left but document the time, date, etc and file a formal complaint through the CFPB !!! Let's shut them down !!!

They called me saying I took a loan 5 years ago and if I did not pay them they were going to take me to court for fraud

I got called same numbers and said filed complained on Emily (I dont know who is Emily) and left a nbrs hung up on me. Its scam.

Received calls for 3 months now saying i owe a debt. When i finally decided to pick up they are telling me i got a pay day loan back in 2012 from TD Bank. For 1 NEVER had account with TD Banks. They state i owed them $800 for fees and bad check. I told them where they can go because they refuse to provide me with documented proof which i know they DON'T have. What pissed me off is they are harassing my 96 year old grand mother scaring the hell out of her thinking i will be arrested. These ()@#*@)(# must be stopped my GOD

Do not answer this number.  They call numerous times saying there has been a complaint filed

Same thing as everyone else's story, calling me and my family claiming that I owe some loan from some company I've never even heard of and wanting bank account information, kept asking the name of their company and she said Coastal was their name, claims they handle child support payments? I told them to [***] off and stop calling my family and I. I do not owe any loan of any sort. SCAM!

Man left a message wanting to the know the whereabouts of an ex boyfriend from OVER 20 YEARS AGO!!   SCAM!

Got 2 calls from this number claiming a file complaint has been filed against an aquaintance that I haven't even had contact with in almost 20 years.

My Mom got a call saying they were looking for my bf, it was real important.  I live out of state and it scared here real bad.  Scam!!!!!!  Darn people!!

Ignore and block the calls.  This is a debt scamming operation.  Nothing to worry about.

If they continue to bother you,  and you know you do not owe any money, tell them that you know this is  a debt scam and that you are making a complaint to the police for extortion.  Once you get a copy of the police report and they call you again , just read out the  file number and the name of the PD or Sheriff’s office involved.   Tell them you’ll be glad to send a copy to them at whatever address the jack***es are working out of now.

The infamous  “Coastal” or CFS scam.  No idea where they are located.  Call from a variety of numbers for several years now. Ignore and block any calls received from this “Coastal” group. Sometimes uses the CID of “Coastal Litigation” or Coastal Pre-litigations. Also using something called "Lakeside Mediations"  and "Legal Review Services as their CID.  Also “First Point”.  There are several groups with the letters CFS in them.

May now IDing themselves as “Western”.   Also may be using a CID of WNL.

Just because someone on the phone calling you says you owe a debt does not mean you actually owe it.

If a voice on the telephone claims you owe a debt:

1.    Demand the person give you his or her name, company name, and address
2.     Demand a debt validation letter by US mail.  E-mail no good.
3.    Do not pay  the collection agent or anyone else a  dime until the debt is validated

Of course they won’t do this, no scammer ever will, so simply ignore them and block their calls.

You have to get tuff with these people because,  being akin to thugs, brute force is (metaphorically speaking).   the only thing they understand.

regardless scam or no scam old depts no longer at 7 years. at least in my state. it is illegal for them to try and collect. that is why they use the scare tactic. if you ever had a fast loan debt someone bought your names and numbers because the legit company could not longer collect.

I have gotten the same call several times. They even have the names of people I know that I supposedly used as references. But it is a scam.
