harrasing collection calls for someone else!

Numerous phone calls have been received from this number for someone I never heard of.  I never returned the calls until tonight because the callers did not identify where they were calling from or why they were calling.  I've had this phone number for 5 years, it's not listed. So, there's no reason it should have come up on any of their searches for someone I've never heard of.  I'm very concerned about how they got my number and whether they have any other personal information of mine.  i finally returned the call because I thought it was a utility company.  But, it was too difficult to understand the slurred speech of the caller. He sounded drunk.

VERY! Rude and demanding.

He can eliminate his debt via bankruptcy; thusly, making you liable for the debt.  This being stated you can go back to domestic relations court as the court stated that he is liable.

Actually, I was given this # as a call-back in the voice msg from some shrill shrew. Don't owe it, ain't gonna pay it & ain't gonna answer the damn phone, either; my answering machine's "delete" button works just fine for these lowlifes. Let us give thanks for caller ID!

To get them to stop calling you have to call your relative they're calling for and get them to call back. If message is for you then reply back and pay your bills. If calls not for you call back and let them know. That's your options.

These idiots call asking for my sister stating that it was urgent they get in contact with her. I asked who was calling and he said it was "Keith" and then I asked well is there a message that you would like to leave for my sister and then Keith states, "yeah let her know that it is urgent she get in contact with us because I have a fax I need to verify", right a fax, whatever! He never mentioned where he was calling until I asked him and he said, Northstar Company. Then he asked how he could get a hold of my sister and I made it clear that my sister did not live at the calling number and that she had moved out 6 months ago. He was persistant and I said that we would have to see how soon I would see my sister. RUDE SOB'S.

thanks for this page now i dont have to pay attention to their 8:35 or so phone call this morning i picked up the phone and just slam it down on them its a healtful thing to do and its great for the arm muscles get a work out turn a neg into a positive  does anyone know if they call more than once a day and i got voice mail only call back the ones that r legal this is not. never married here if that fu ck ing helps  u.

They are calling to locate an ex-friend of mine-- I don't know how they got my phone number, but they won't leave me alone. How can I get them off my back?!! These folks are ruthless...

I work for this company the fdcpa which is a privacy act for consumers prohibits us from stating it is a collections call. Saying it is a collections call violates the debtors rights of privacy.  We dont identify ourselves on an incoming call because we have hundreds of thousands of dollars owed to our client and if keeping you on the line longer helps us identify the caller as the debtor we try to do that.   Understand if it wasnt for collections agencies collecting all the outstanding money from some people whom havent paid on this debt in some cases 2 years, the average american would not be able to afford the interest rate banks and lenders would have to charge in order to to keep their doors open. You would not believe the things we hear, like a college student with an $11,000 balance who said i cant pay it back im in school. As if the company was gifting her the money. The excuses, sum real sum not we hear in one day would astonish you.

Is the debt not real?  does he not owe the money?  If he doesnt file a dispute with the bank if you dont owe the money tell the rep you are disputing it and get ahold of the institution that asked us to collect on it.  We regularly work with people that are in a legitimate situation, to help resolve the debt.

If you could believe we have some people that owe our client over $30,000 dollars earn over $200,000 dollars and will not return 1 phone call.  106 voice mails on a legitinate debt who is the dirt bag here.
