You are exactly what is wrong with debt collectors! Debt validation is part of the FDCPA, which is a Federal Act and therefore, enforced by LAW. Why do you people always act like it is an option to follow this and not a requirement? The point is that a validation letter is a tool to prove that the company calling to collect on this debt is collecting it legally. Sure, a person may owe this debt, but anyone could get that information and try to collect on it. What is wrong with being sure of who you're paying? Basically, your theory is to just pay anybody who calls claiming you owe money to them? Wow, I'd be willing to bet you'd be an easy target for scams! Of course, you probably know that your statement is wrong but want people to believe it's true! That is what shills do...

PLEASE don't ever give these low life's your banking info.,,remember when you send them your personnel check they have your banks name account number and routing number and your signature,,,in today's world they know how to electronically transfer your signature on an approval withdrawal form and they will clean out your bank account...if you decide to pay them use money orders and if these [***] says to you we don't accept money orders,then you say when you do accept money orders then give me a call and hang up...i bet within a day they will call you and accept the money order..

this company has called me and my family on several occasions to get information on my ex-husband.  They try everything in the book but I turn it around on them!  If they ask me to verify information on me or my ex-husband, I tell them I can't disclose any of that information unless I have something in writing saying who they are so I can verify their identity.  I won't give anyone my info no matter how hard they try!!

15 years WHAT... any debt drops off your credit after 7 years. Also when you write these [***], be SURE to include a copy of the FCRA. If they keep harassing you after that you can sue them for about a $1000 a day (I think) check the laws in your state. I'm in Texas, an TX is BRUTAL on these companies, if you have your stuff together.

Well it is apparent debt collectors do not have to know how to spell or use proper grammar.  You may want to use spell check or hey how about a dictionary???  You appear ignorant just from your posting.  As for me and my debt.  I have worked 38 years and held excellent credit.  Due to the economy and our "wise" president, I no longer have the luxury of paying my debts.  I have sent the president a letter requesting him to print me and other American's that have been left unemployed some stimulus money.  I have not had a response nor have I received any stimulus money. Oh and by the way most of the credit card companies that hire uneducated idiots like you did receive millions of stimulus dollars.  So go cry your blundering on someone else's shoulder.

This company drove me crazy for over 6 months. They would call at 8am every morning. Waking me up. They called a few times while I was at work, and almost got me in trouble. They were looking for an individual named STEVE HALL.  I don't know who these Steve Hall is, but I have quite a few saved messages that he should hear. I've called this company several times that I am not this individual and they continue to call, continue to leave messages. I'm getting to the point where I feel like taking some vacation time, doing some research on where this company is, and make a personal visit. A quite unpleasant personal visit. This company doesn't care if they have the right phone number or not, they will continue to call to well beyond the point of harassment. And I'm almost at the point of violence having dealt with it. northstar ser called me sereral times a day and try to get some personal information from me, and refused to identified themself , then hung up. This make me very angry!

This company is ruthless.  I have asked them to stop calling my house and they continue to do so at all times of the day and night.  They ask for an individual that never resided with me, nor do I know that individual at all.

These people keep calling looking for the previous owner.  We advised them she has not owned this home for over two years and still they persist.  They are rude and advised us that they would be monitoring our phone. LOL, still, it is a threat!  How low can you go to try to collect a debt, which I have to assume they are doing.  They give no information about why they are calling, just issue threats and imply, rudely, that we are somehow hiding this woman!
