First of all I once work for the company that handles these calls and you all need to look up the rules for do not call lists... if you have a account with that company it does not count!! Second do you people really think that verizon is really goin to sit there and call all of there customers. You should all know every cell phone company has a call center that handles there customer service! Third why are you people so affraid to pick up the phone. No means no and we understand that so pick up the phone and say that rather then hideing like little kids. And last each call center gives hundreds of people  jobs so if it makes families able to have food and homes  why do you all makes comments because these jobs help people able to support thereselfs??

THIS WILL ANSWER ALL OF YOUR QUESTIONS
The do not call list does not apply to companies you are currently with, you have to ask that company personally to take you off there list. Also the offer is for 100 bonus mins and to renew the contract if you dont want it say NO. Also if they call you and you hear no one on the other line its probably because they are on a automated dialer which can lose the call if the dialer is going to fast. Also the plan they are trying to upgrade you on is for the same exact plan you have, price wise the only difference is it is called Nationwide it is called Nationwide because Verizon has set up the way the mobile web works on the cell phone differently from the old America's choice you pay per meg instead of air time and monthly charge so its actually a better deal if you do use mobile web if not you are not charged if you dont use it. Humm I think I covered all the stupid questions that you all where wondering....Also by the way if you think Verizon wireless or anyone else (3rd party) cares if you leave as a customer they don’t Verizon Wireless is a multi-million dollar company. The point really is good company bad company Cell phone companies are all trying to steal your money why not just get rid of your cell phone and live your life STOP TEXTING CALLING DRIVING with the cell phone up your ass STOP caring so much and live your goddamn life....I know its hard to believe but cell phones are not for emergencies they cause emergencies and problems. In this day in age with all the financial bitching shouldn’t the first thing we let go is the useless government controlled devices that we so clearly have convinced ourselves we need.
    Signing off

I got a call from this number today and they hung up before I could answer the phone.  I Googled the number and found this forum, read all the reports and called back, ready to complain.  I got a very lovely woman on the phone who identified herself as being from Verizon Wireless as soon as she answered.  She asked what number I had been phoned at (my home number which recently went Verizon FiOS) and she pulled up my account.  I asked what she was phoning about and she replied that she was calling to see if there was anything that they could do to make my plan (wireless and FiOS) better.  She went over potential upgrades, gave me some additional minutes and gave me an upgrade for a phone that isn't even due yet.....I got a Samsung Omnia for free.  Good deal.  Going into the call I was ready to go after them based upon the majority of posts on this forum.  For anyone else getting calls; answer the call, phone them back and you may be pleasantly surprised to get some extra minutes and some additional goodies.

In regards to the records not being up to date, this may be only in some cases.  The woman I spoke with today knew that I had just gotten a new phone on one of our lines and gotten a replacement on another line...these just happened in the past week.  So, in some cases they are very aware of what you have on your account and in my case it worked out well as I got a better deal on a new phone than I could have online or in the store.  Can't beat a free Omnia.

got a call from this number...did not answer...but do not re up ur contract for your cell phone with outside vendors...this is what happens...if u do renew over the phone as opposed to going to the store you give up the amount of time u have already used up with the existing contract...why is this important...? because you will lose out on the new phone that u might get for free having been with the same carrier (does not matter if its AT&T or Verizon) for 1 or 2 years...you walk into the store expecting ur new free phone and the sales person says...oh oh...ur contract is not up yet and u say why not I have had this phone for 1 or 2 years...and he says...sorry charley...u just renewed ur contract...won't be eligable for another year or 2...and then in the mean time ur old phone craps out and u have to buy another...and pay through the nose for the same one ur friend got for free...!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Well, Jessica, oh wise one. I have no problem talking to anybody on the phone and I don't hide like a kid. I check numbers on my caller ID that I don't recognize and who DO NOT LEAVE A MESSAGE.  Leave a message if I don't answer and I will call back. Furthermore, when I am repeatedly hung up on when answering said call, I get a little frustrated.  Once or twice I could see, but 98% of the time is annoying.

    Tired of this calls
I have just counted 7 missed calls from this number since June 20. They never left a message and I tried calling from my restricted home phone number today. The male recorded voice only says because of the holiday, they are closed. At least they took a holiday break! I am saving it as: Do Not Answer. I am a verizon customer and my phones are all in the Do Not Call list. Shameless!
