I missed a call and a message was left in spanish. when i called the number back it had an auto menu and some reference for accounts

Get calls several times a day, automated, but don't know this # and can't understand the voice mail please stop.

This number is from a company called Telmate, that handles phone systems for several correctional facilities. I got 6 or 7 calls from this number and only got a message in Spanish. I don't speak fluent Spanish or know anyone incarcerated, so the inmate is calling my number by mistake. If you're getting calls by mistake, call the number back and talk to their customer service rep who can block the inmate from calling your number again. I didn't have to provide any credit card information or anything. It's not a scam, just a mistake.

Someone from this number called me twice at 11:53 PM!!! Left message in another language. No idea what he/she's trying to say. Reporting to Do Not Call registry as my number has been on the list for several years.

The DNC is NOT a call blocker-never was. Plus scammers don't give a crap about it-they're already breaking laws so why would they follow it?

He called me thousands everyday, but I don't understand Spanish, so we never got connected until I asked one neighbor who can speak Spanish. He said it is collect call and he let me refill money for my phone.

This is collect call, My husband called me from immigration jail in LA, this caller company covers most jails and detention centers in US, here is their website:taltoncommunications.com, you can create an account on their website, and then you can deposit money to your own account to receiving calls from inmate, or deposit money to inmate's account in order that he/ she can call any phone numbers. I deposited $10 to my own account, the rate is not expensive as other reviews, 10 cents per minute. If you getting calls from inmate, you should ask his A numbers, his last name ( first 3 letters), which jail or detention centers in order to deposit money to inmate's account.

If you knew inmates who call you, of course, this caller number is not scam, if not, you can talk to representative to block it.

All of those links lead to Shelby County Jail which is in Tennessee which is no where near L.A. or did you mean LA as in Louisiana? Anyway there is some truth to what you posted. I've gotten these calls before and it was simply a wrong number.

It simply boggles my mind how all these people look up a number even though they know who is calling and why.  Now we have another one.  You knew who called you, you knew it was your "husband", you seem to know everything there is about this number and company, and yet you searched the number.  Why would you do that?

This phone number called me many times this Friday, i answered, but they speak Spanish, I can not understand, that's why I searched number on Google, I found out most reviews said from jail, and I asked my neighbor who can speak Spanish, she told me press 1 to connect, finally my husband spoke to me, but only one minute for free, he told me go their website and deposit money. I review here,because I want somebody knows at least this caller not scam.

My husband was arrested by police in litter rock, AR, and he told me he was transferred to the lasalle detention center, Louisiana. This telmate company covers many jails and detention centers in many states, I checked their website. But the inmate maybe dialed wrong numbers if you don't know friend, family members in the jail.

He was arrested in Arkansas and they jailed him in Louisiana?  Sorry i don't buy that one either.  If you are arrested in one state, then you stay in that state until your court case comes up.
