i just got a call from them they called and hung up so i tried calling back and it said telus,
but it kept bringing me back to the 'for english press one' so i figured something was up.. typed the number into google and found this

it is a hoax. i called the actual telus.  dont give them any of ur information

I'm also pre-paid with Telus and got a call for the first time today. I didn't pick up.

I called the number back. It's definitely shady. There's a fuzzy sounding recording that SORT OF sounds like Telus. I pressed 1 for English, waited an abnormally long time and was then given 2 more options that barely made sense. I waited on the line and it was answered by an East Indian sounding woman who said "Thankyou for calling Telus"....I then hung up.

A quick Google search also revealed a blog from a mother who received a call from the same number on her Telus pre-paid phone. The guy offered to change her to a better monthly plan and asked for her DRL# and SIN#. She thought it was legit because he already had a bunch of her info, so she gave him the info. After she hung up, she felt weird about it and went into a Telus store. They told her it WAS NOT TELUS. They switched everything back to her pre-paid settings. Don't give these people any personal info. The one comment on here that's written in broken English hoping to "clear things up" is obviously phony.

I received a call from 1-866-360-1448 on Tuesday, 15th November 2011 at 5:47 p.m. (Mountain Time): does anyone know who this number belongs to?

this is a marketing campain from telus and this is normal that you reach the client care number because in these marketing campain, the number use to reach you is auto generated then delete. So if you try to call them back you call the telus client care service.

PLEASE STOP ALL THESE CALLS ..REALLY TWICE A DAY ENOUGH..DO I HAVE TO SWITCH PHONE SERVICE...

this is a telemarketer.  I called Telus and they blocked it for me.

I used to be with a different company and never got these weird calls. Now that I'm with Telus I keep getting weird calls. I am thinking about changing companies... am I the only peson to find it strange that we are all TELUS prepaid subscibers writing on this blog??!??

They keep calling me to. So I told them they had the wrong number. Now I dont get anymore calls. You might want to try that!!!!

I have had calls from 866 3601448 on my pay as you go cell phone every day at about the same time and I don't answer but it is annoying.

I only have text on my phone so this is really annoying, don't feel like using up my minutes listening to an annoying person read me their script

Just got this call today at 7:30 notjing sounded right had way more info than they should have but not enough to make me feel they were ok. When I said I wanted more info they hung up I know some people are saying this is Telus marketing if it is they have outsourced to some real unscrupulous people in the third world who do not speak English well/

what is an ssn. I think you mean sin. In Canada one has a SIN  #

SSN: Social Security Number, the U.S. equivalent

That technically makes "SSN#" a redundancy: "SS Number number"

I've been receiving calls from this number 866-360-1448 everyday for the last 5 or 6 days.  I don't answer them, but I've noticed that the calls are to telus pay n go clients.  Very annoying.  Stop calling me.  If I was interested in changing my plan, then I would contact telus mobility on my own.. Stop it.

Just got a call from the same number above , Did not answer it as its my personal phone if you are not on my call list and does not dis[lay  I do not answer it ,especially phone numbers like that ........ and i'm a pre-paid user .Telus free text messages are enough to remind one to top up or upgrade thank you very much

I got two calls from 18663601448 today with in 4 hrs apart no msg left...i dont like when ppl call and dont leave msgs...but the way i see it if they dont leave a msg it cant be that important! I think collectively we should ALL go to the telus website click on contact and send them a msg of how rude it is to call us on our dime esp during the day when we are busy and that if we wanted to switch to a plan we would contact them saying so! They need to know wasting our money on unnessesary calls is not in THEIR best interest......maybe then they would get the point :)
