June 6 2012 and I got my first call from 866-360-1448.  Didn't answer thank goodness.  googled it and found myself here, thanks to everybody for the info.  Am also a prepaid telus customer.

Just called them and IT IS TELUS...they are contacting all pay as you go users to see if they would like to go over to monthly...NEVER once was I asked for my SIN/SSN ...asked for my number and name and hopefully after 48n hours no more calls but I expect after 3 months it will start up again as any call center recycles numbers after so many months...

I have pay as you go from Telus too. I was getting annoyed by the calls, I don't answer my cell phone for a number I don't know, because I don't want to pay for it. I just called the number and the girl at Telus confirmed that it is the sales department trying to get me to switch to a monthly plan.  I asked if there was anyway I could stop getting the calls and she put a restriction on my account to no longer recieve sales campaigns. Hope it works!

rec'd 3 calls - told the pushy obnoxious dork not to call again and hung up.  How the heck to you stop them from calling.  I'll be complaining to Telus.

I get a call from the Number 1-866-360-1448 EVERYDAY!!!! At least 6 times a day! It is really pissing me off! They will call at night, morning and during the day. I have never once picked it up because I never answer calls from the 1-800 # due to telamarketors. BUT IS IS CRAZY.l IF YOU GET A CALL FROM THIS NUMBER DO NOT PICK IT UP!!! As soon as I got my 19th call from these people I googled the number and this came up. Thank god! If Telus does not do anything about this DANGEROUS SPAM they will be loosing a lot of customers. I'm also on Telus Pre-paid. This is sooooo annoying. This should not happen to a PERFESSIONAL company!!!! Telus does not seem to be in a rush to fix this though! That really is not good!

EVERYONE ***** just call telus, they turn it off for you!!!!! so they stop calling!!

I answered today, it was Telus trying to upsell contracts to pay as you go users.

They asked for me by name, no request for any personal information and the caller had explicit details of my account activity so I trust that this is legitimately Telus.

If you do sign up for a contract, they will likely ask you for more information (for security purposes and their own protection from fraud and misuse) but if you arent comfortable with giving that information, go to their website and get walked through setting up features online from the website that you know is certainly telus.

I returned this call from a landline after first blocking my number (*67).  It was Telus offering to switch from pay and talk to a contract.  I said no thank you and please take my number off your list.  The guy was very polite, asked my cell number which I gave and then asked for my PIN which I did not give.  I told him I had no way of verifying who he was so there was no way I was telling anyone that.  He said no problem and asked me three verifying questions to confirm my account.  Name, address and email account.  I only offered first name, and he basically verified the following two questions by completing my answers as I started to give the information.  There were no questions of any other sort, no asking for SIN and no attempt at a sales pitch.  He said it would take 48 hours for my request for removal so there is the possibility I could get another call.  I wanted to deal with this immediately because if you don't and try to avoid it, they keep your number on their list and keep calling it until you put a stop to it.

I was also getting tons of calls from 1-866-360-1448.  Like others I was not answering call I don't know, but they were still annoying.  After the many calls I found this site and sent a message to Telus using their contact page, requesting to be put on the no call list.  I haven't gotten a call since.  Hopefully it stays that way.

Received call from this number, but no-one was on the other line.  Confirmed it was from Telus and I have an inquiry into them what the call is about.

I'm on a telus pay & talk as well & they have just started calling me. Always at 7:30pm. Its very annoying, they woke up my baby!!!

Prepaid phone, constantly annoying. Same old story. Anyway, Has anyone tried answering the call and telling them to stop? If so, has this worked?

hi, I'm an idiot who posts on forums telling people that I'm getting calls from 1-866-360-1448.

I keep getting these same calls many times daily.

I'm too stupid to actually think of contacting the Telus and asking them to stop calling.

What should I do?

I'm getting several calls a day on my prepaid cellular phone. Actually answered one tonight - there was no one on the line. This seems fraudulent and/or criminal.
