This is just a forum/post board;  addressing "the people who keep calling"  and "someone put a stop to it" is a little futile as the powers that be don't even read this forum.  It's a Telus call.  Like any other company they're trying to migrate Pay-As-You-Go style customers to sign a contract.  To discontinue the number, contact Telus e-care, or block the number.  It's alot easier than writing a pleading note on 800notes.com.  :3

When I first got a pay as you go cell from telus, I found out that some american scam artist was automatically billing telus to my number for music services.  My cell is older and does not support that type of service.  I called telus and inquired as to why my minutes were dropping like a rock.  They adivised that an attachment had been made to my account for 10 bucks per month.  After bullying them (they said it was none of their business) I found out who it was and called the yank and told him I would either sue or take a holiday to where he lives.  This was dropped by the scammer and I rec'd a 100.00 from them by cheque in settlement.  I complained to Telus about this abboration and didn't get much satisfaction.  Now I am getting scam calls from people holding themselves out to be telus on this number.
If Telus can spend a few bucks of there billion dollar profits, they could agressively address these a holes, but nope....they turn a blind eye as long as they can get there bucks.  I am all for a boycott of telus services and everyone moving to Rogers, Bell, or other Companies until this sh*t gets sorted out.
These creeps are easy to catch, it just takes a little committment by the service provider in concert with the RCMP Commercial Crime folks.  If you agree with this, send it along to your mailing list and lets set July 1st as a migration date from Telus to another carrier.  Use this type of bull [***] fraud to justify not honouring a contract or continuing with pay as you go.

I answered this number on the weekend it was someone from Telus offering a plan.  As I have pay-as-you-go and am happy with that I said no.  The guy on the phone kept talking so I ended up just disconnecting as he didn't seem to understand I wasn't interested.  Since then I have gotten calls from this number again but just ignore them.

Thanks for info.  I have telus prepaid also so it must have something to do with that.  I figure if they want toget message across, they can just text it.

I got the same number on my cell phone. It's a pay as you go phone, I never pick up if I don't know the number, my boyfriend thought it was actually Telus calling, but they never call my cell phone, they usually call my house. And it's a different number when the actual Telus calls.

I didn't pick up, but hopefully they don't call back. I don't want to be harassed. I also did a search here before I called back. Thankfully I didn't.

I gotta call Telus and let them know!
