- Rick replies to EllyI just got off of the phone with Telus pre-paid customer service. I request to be removed from their sales list, explain the situation to them, and told them that I was NOT going to wait 30 days to be removed. They will do it immediately, and although he said it would take up to a day, the csr said that it was showing immediately.
- GlendaI appreciate all the comments. I too got a couple of calls from them while at work, but don't answer calls from 866 #'s. However, I just cut off my pay as you service with Telus 2 days ago and have my playbook getting repaired elsewhere, so I thought it might be about one of those things. Good to know that I should just ignore. It's hard to tell sometimes, which #'s are legit and should be answered.

- KenSo I've been receiving these calls everyday for the past week, and I never answered (I'm on prepaid). I emailed Telus complaining about it and demanding that they stop. It turns out that the people calling are in fact contracted by Telus.
Here's their reply:
'I regret that the calls you have been receiving from TELUS have been disrupting you.
Please note that it is not TELUS' intention to harass and disrupt our clients when we contact them so I apologize for any inconvenience you may have experienced.
From time to time, TELUS may proactively contact clients to advise them of special promotions or to ensure their needs, expectations and concerns are being addressed.
Since you indicated that you would like these calls to stop, I have disabled all future marketing campaigns on your account.' - Graveygotta call from the #, did not answer.
- AlexWhen I bought insurance for my vehicle I was told from the insurance lady that I will receive a call from these people, she told me they are a legit whatever, basically that it was some sort of follow up on the service quality I received from the insurance company. Not really a scam, just kind of annoying.
- Caller: can't remember
- Call type: Survey
- traceywanted to know aswell as i have a pay as u go telus..
- Fed-UP Hang-UPEasy way to block these calls for ever. Enter number in contacts as DELETE. Them whenever it rings, ignore it. Then delete all DELETE's at the end of the day. I do this for every annoying phone call.
Never pickup 800, 866, numbers without looking number up on internet to see if it is a scam.- Caller: Scammer as telus
- JenI've gotten five calls from this number in the last two days, eight in total this past week! I never pick up when I don't recognize the number and if its really important, then they can leave a message. I don't have the money to waste on idiots.
- tired of this!!been getting calls fron this number for at lest a week now, up 3 times a day!!!!! phoned back told them many times to take me off whatever list it is!! keep getting reassured I will not get called again , and yet... more darn calss getting real tired of this!!!
- Caller: telus
- KeroIt's not only telus now, a family member of mine is on a rogers plan and they call her as well. The calls to her are not nearly as frequent but still an 866 number.
- FreddyAnnoying as hell .....i sent an email to telus ...this is really starting to piss me off
- Caller: TELUS
- GracieI received a call from this number as well but I've set my cell phone to forward any calls that don't get answered to my land line.
- Caller: Telus
- Call type: Telemarketer
- angry tellus costomeri received 3 call today spaced every 2 hrs looked up number was tellus.Phone telus rep they said it was them asked for no morer calls.I think they just lost a customer
- SMI just got a call from this - I also have Telus but prepaid - since I rarely use my phone I have a lot of talk time so answered the call - they asked for me by my 1st name (so they know who the phone belongs to) - I didn't confirm if it was me or not simply asked "who is this" or "what do you want" (I'm not the most polite to unsolicited callers) and they hung up - so I won't answer next time I see the number
So - seems to be somehow related to Telus, perhaps a complaint (or several) to telus will help- Caller: Unknown
- Blame TelusThese guys are obviously working with Telus. They had details about my call features and use on my Pay As You Go Account. Don't believe Telus if they say they are not working together. Telus has sold your info!
- ShaneSave the number to your cell phone under "Telus Sales" or somesuch. Next time they call, just hit ignore.
That's what I do. Now, most telemarketers I can recognise without having to use google! - NormI complained and they gave me 5 days of free incoming calls but it may take 30 days to get off the list.
- Call type: Telemarketer
- MaverickThis is not Telus - they outright claim to be Telus but it is a scam targeting Telus Pay & Talk customers! Do NOT give them any information!
- gary barkerGetting same calls from this # as other posts about this racket. Usually three times daily. I don't have a short fuse, but this is annoying. As one post mentioned, save # to your contact list and when they call, simply hit ignore button. They'll get the msg. after awhile.

- thinkerjust recevied a call from the very same number today. i use to get calls from the same number using other company on a land-line. Now using two cells, no calls using my Iphone on a plan, but my other cell on pay as you go--get all the time.
Maybe comunication companies hire or the word of the day 'outsourcing' call centres to promote business, for customers who are using pay as you go- simple gadgets, or using land-lines who own have basic operations.
Selling tool/concept-- hire/outsource low wage employees call centres---- to keep employers centre contracts profitable margins........ it is about stinking the customer/consumer with all the baggage -- namely(cost).
Customer+ any level of quick talking call centres= profit- Caller: It was on my telus pay as you go cell
