- Fed UP!...Don't make the mistake of letting your car warranty expire...
You won't see this number on your caller id though, they use tons of other phone numbers, none of which belong to them.
They basically convice suckers to re-up on their car warranties, and if anything goes wrong, they call it a "pre-existing condition" and you get screwed...
Apparently they have no internal do not call list; they tell you that you have to register on the national dnc list.

- DonHave gotten calls from them before, but have not answered. Today received a Request for Immediate Action. Also Warnimg: $2000 Fine. 5 Years imprisoment, or both for any person interfering or obstructing with the delivery of this letter. Does not even mention the vehicle I have. Their Florida License #PI49837, what ever that is.
- Mark GConfirming, this is the number to call for a mass mailing linked to "Dealer Preferred". Do not provide your VIN Number or Mileage. Toss the mailing away.

- BrandyI got a notice in the mail similar to Don's Apr 3 notice for my "Honda"
(which was actually an Acura, and which I traded in over 20 months ago).
I was thinking about forwarding it to Florida's A&CS, but I suspect they already know about it. And no, I'm not going to call them - our number is
on the national DNC list, and I don't want to give these miscreants the
impression that I'm doing business with them and that they can therefore call me. BTW, there is NO physical return/mailing address on the notice. - James HNo call, but got a mailing - "Request For Immediate Action". Thank goodness for Google. Company "name" looked suspicious. No mailing address either. I was tempted to call them, just to tell the to f**k off and make them pay for the call.
Here's an idea: everyone who gets a mailing or phone call from these "alleged" scammers should call them back, wait until someone answers, maybe engage them on a short conversation, then hang up. Repeat several times a day from different phone #s.
Those toll-free phone numbers (for us) will become a money drain (for them). - H E Jamieson| 1 replyCalled the number today; they said I qualified for a great rate since I am a senior citizen; wanted to know first name, but I wouldn't give it to them. Spoke with Eric who said since the car was low mileage and since we haven't had any problems with it, Shane could give me the exact quote for a new car warranty. Shane gave a price of $595/yr for 5 years with $100 deductible; gave quite a sales pitch; but I had to make a decision right then or it would go into the "delete" file and I wouldn't be able to renew it any time in the future. He kept pushing for a decision and I told him I wanted to think about it; I finally hung up on him as he wouldn't take "no". I thought it was fishy, so I called my local Toyota dealer and spoke with the Finance Dept. She said unless it comes directly from Toyta, it's a scam - then I looked it up on Google and found out that it is a scam. Where can I report this to? Thanks

Thats how it comes up on my caller ID.
They called my house 7 times
Finally I told them that I was calling the police to report them and so far they have stopped.
They stated that they are from Chrysler but I found out very fast that they were not.- Caller: DLRPREF WARR
- TreenaGot one of these letters in the mail on a car that was totaled in 2007 and get it in the mail in 2009. I called on behalf of my husband and informed them that the car listed on the sheet that they are referring to has been totaled in a car wreck in 2007. Like what dumb idiots he couldn't give me a clear reason why we received this in the mail. The agent blamed the computers LOL...Yeah right. I told him what car we got and just happy with just having insurance on it and not interested in anything else that they are trying to offer. I told them to put our address and also phone number on their don't mail list and don't call list. If they proceed then further action will be taken. He did apologize for the inconvenience LOL.
- August| 1 replyI got the "official" letter from DPW DEALER PREFERRED, in this secure envelope. Not sure why secure because there is no personal information inside.
There outta be a law against these official looking envelopes, and should have the word ADVERTISEMENT or SOLICITATION outside.
These predators are always on the look for ignorant people, but no more thanks to the power of the internet.- Call type: Unwanted
- mike n bobjust got 2 letters from these people. said i had a toyota. LOL never have never will.
- Ronin866-364-3336 - Like everyone else, received an official looking letter in the mail today, claiming it was from General Motors.
Came from:
Presorted
Standard Mail
U.S. Postage Paid
St. Louis, MO
Permit No. 1361
On the front, it states:
"REQUEST FOR IMMEDIATE ACTION - TIME SENSITIVE MATERIAL ENCLOSED - WARNING; $2000 FINE, 5 YEARS IMPRISONMENT, OR BOTH FOR ANY PERSON INTERFERING OR OBSTRUCTING WITH DELIVERY OF THIS LETTER. U.S. MAIL TTT.18 U.S. CODE"
Inside it states:
"CALL 866-364-3336 TO EXTEND YOUR VEHICLE'S COVERAGE"
Amazingly, it has NO mention of which PARTICULAR vehicle they are referring to... Morons.
Reporting this to the BBB of St. Louis, MO, as well as to the U.S. Postal Service Fraud Division. Also, the USPS HAS to release the info on who owns Permit No. 1361, if requisitioned in writing and a complaint is filed against said organization, which I WILL be doing.
I HIGHLY suggest that others do EXACTLY the same IMMEDIATELY.
The only way to get a SCAMMER to stop, is to Report them each time.
Never just throw Junk/Scam mail away. Research it & Report it. - 09/15/09A letter from

"Call 866-364-3336 to extend your vehicle's coverage" - sreevesI only wish I had done more research on this one! I guess it falls back to the old saying"IF ITS TO GOOD TO BE TRUE THAN IT ISn't"
Like a fool'these guys saw me coming on reeled me in.
After they sold me on this one and got my money, than I was told about the 30 day and 1000 mile start date. Well,I work just a few miles from home and it took me 3 months to get over that 1000 mile mark before I was covered. In fact only 4 miles into my coverage,my car starts to shimy down the road suddenly. I had to call to get a copy of my warrenty information because it was never sent to me. After reading through the policy I thought I was covered for any major repairs, so I called to verify and took it in to be checked out. The auto shop told me that I had warp heads and a blown head gasket,2600$ worth of repairs. Dsw information was given to the auto repair shop and thought everything would be wonderful because I was 4 miles into my coverage and 90 days from purchase....think again. DSW sent out one of their machanics to assess the damage, and return with a pre-assesting condition report. After long conversation with my machanic,he told me that the machanic told him that he does not get paid for his time if he does not report the same pre-assesting condition report to DSW.
I am mad as I can get and decide its time to call them. The information I was told was that the heads and gaskets were part of the exclusion clause in my policy and no coverage....thats not what I read, so than tell me why did you send out your on machanic to inspect the heads if that was on exclusion on my policy....he had no answer for that. I demanded resolution and a complete refund. He offered me a prorated discount that I can pay over the next 2 years of 62$ a month. Are you crazy, why would I pay any more money for a warrenty that does not actually cover my car. I have to sent a complaint letter in to DSW, request the cancelation of my policy, and they will consider my request. Oh did I tell you that they can deny that request. I called my card company and stopped payment and disputed all charge from them. I am currently looking for others that would like to team up with a class action lawsuit and help me shut this business down for good. If enough people get together and yell loud enough, someone will listen. BBB is a joke really, and if you don't have money are power than you just have to sit and take it. Rich get richer, the poor get poorer.- Caller: dswextendedcarwarrenty
- MarrrboGot and called this # today. The man asked me what owner ID # is. I told him to tell ME what it is- since he should have that info. He got mad and told me he was not going to go round and round with me. I hung up. Then he called shortly after- twice, in fact- I got caller ID and did not answer. I will send this to our State's Attorney General.
