I just received the official looking letter today(unsolicited)

Received this mailing today and, like others, thought it might be a recall notice or something from my dealership. Since I have owned three Toyotas since 2000, the automobile brand on the bogus form didn't much surprise me but the lack of any pertinent, related information did. It's a bland, nondescript piece of nothing offer. Since Toyotas are among the longest lasting and most reliable vehicles on the road (similar to the Hondas and Acura I owned), the last thing I would ever, ever consider is an extended warranty (I don't do extended warranties on ANYTHING, what a waste of money!). You have to wonder if these idiots are born this incredibly stupid or if they continually work on it. What a freakin' waste of humanity. I wonder what it's like to lie for a living ...

For those who perhaps are getting calls on cell phones from this company, you should know that at least Verizon Wireless has a way to permanently block up to 10 annoying phone numbers of any kind. I have already blocked one idiot from another state who persisted in calling my cellphone for no reason. This can be done at least on Verizon so check your wireless carrier and your regular landline carrier. You can do this online on the Verizon Wireless website.

I have been receiving in the mail a form "To Extend Your Vehicle Coverage" and told to call the 866-364-3336 phone number for an extension.

I do not know who this is and do not have extended service coverage with any company other than my Saturn dealer, of which this has no connection.

I wish to have thos company investigated.

There is no address on the form that I received, but I believe the name of the company may be "CarSafe," and the mailer is presorted standard mail coming from St. Louis, MO, Permit #1361.

If you sent them ANY money you deserve to lose it. Just called and asked to be removed from mailing etc....my car is not 2 yrs old and has less than 15k miles....WTH? he didnt questions just said he would remove my info from their list!

Got a mailer today for a Ford.  Haven't owned a Ford in 3yrs.

I have not received a call from these people yet, I don't think, but then I don't answer the phone for calls with numbers I do not recognize.  They just hang up.  However, I have received their mailing a couple of times with this phone number to call.  It is a request to extend my coverage on my car.  My question is, how did they get my address and the make of my car?  Who is giving these people my information?
I first become suspicious when there is no address for a company on a mailing, so I just "file" these mailings.  If they call I will probably tell them some story that my car's engine fell out last week and I have been looking for them to reimburse me; or how about I just lead them on to the point where it sounds like I am breaking out my checkbook for them then rant and rave about how unethical they and their company are by playing people with this crap.  That will give me a resounding click.  No?

Obviously you have nothing better to do then Complain...Is life that bad? last month the Car Safe plans paid out over 250,000.00 in claims , this is all documented...So this is a scam ?????????

Great company they have paid out 1900.00 for a transmission repair on my 2005 expedition, smooth and easy. I just paid 100.00 deductible with no questions asked.

I got the letter from these guys also, Its a scam to get your money. I talked to a reputable dealership who informed me about this company. they said its a rip off, they will give you the run around and find every reason not to pay for your repairs.  Don't waste your money

I'd like to know that, too.  The mailing said "Ford", but when I called them, they had the year and make of my vehicle.  I wouldn't give them my vin# and they were wrong on what kind of warranty they thought I already had.

I really want to know how they know what kind of vehicle I own.  I don't go to any oil change places and I doubt the dealership is giving them this information.

I got a "2nd attempt" mailing from the CarSafe crooks, with the number 866-364-3336. I told the guy who answered it was closer to their 35th attempt, and asked him various questions about their scam and why he keeps attempting it. He just kept repeating "It's not a scam" like a robot. It was more fun than getting mad.

Pep Boys sold my information to them, thanks guys. I love how, on the BBB, they always say "CarSafe is under the impression that per his make and model of the vehicle he owns the customer is soon to be out of his 3 year/36,000 mile manufacturer warranty and would qualify for extended coverage." But of course, they try to make it seem like your warranty is ending in their spam mailing.."Urgent and time sensitive." Get a real job, morons.

I received a so called notice today about my Nissan something about a 2nd attempt to contact me. I didn't even receive the first notice from them. But I always do my homework any way especially when I receive something like this and I always check with BBB anyway I figured they were a scam!!!! This notice will definitely go in my shredder good riddens!!!
