This number keeps calling and has never left a single message...annoying!

This number is Barclay Card Customer Support.  Not a scam if you have a Barclay credit card.

This is a scam. If you call the Barclay Official number and listen to there message it says they will never ask you for your full social security number.  I am never past due nor due I keep a balance on my card.  I spoke to a real customer service rep who checked their records and said no one has tried calling me.  Scam.

This robot calls me several times a day.  I called back, someone in broken english wanted my creditcard number or social security number.  I told them to stop calling.  We'll see what happens.

First of all that comment is unecessarily racist and second of all this is a site to inform others of phone scams, not to be getting them riled up by spewing hate and bad wishes.

Been getting phone calls from 866-408-4070. It is nerve wrecking. I am going through debt consolidation company and they advised me 1. not to talk to my creditors I listed on the agreement and 2. not pay my bill for three months while they made the contracts. This really needs to stop

Your first problem is doing what this so called consolidation company told you.  Let me guess they claim they can get your balance reduced for a fee?  Well it is a scam.  First, you could get thye balance reduced on your own for free.  Second, even if they do get your payoff lowered, you will be getting a 1099C from every card for the difference between what you paid and the actual balance.

I am getting between 4 and 5 calls a day every single day except Sunday. When I call back a robot asks me for my acc. number or...get this, my social security number! I have no account and certainly are not giving them my ss#. So I continue to be plagued and end up just not going to answer my phone because too many of them are from them. I don't know what to do about this, other than changing my number. This is so not right, it is harassment.

It's Barclay Card calling on late payments. They call if you are only a few days late and they call frequently. When I answer the phone, they're pretty good about taking the autodial off for a week or so if you actually talk to them. ::shrug:: Other than that, pretty typical call from an out of country call center to ask for a payment on a CCard.

I get these calls all day long I don't owe anyone anything..

I don't care who they are calling from .. I like to jerk their chains in a subtle manner .. have a little fun with nagger callers and remove your number without relying on a worthless list : .. make up a believable business name .. like if you're in Oklahoma .. just answer "Red Clay, are you calling for load delivery or excavation" .. then to whatever caller says, just answer, "You've reached Red Clay. We deliver red clay by the load or we excavate red clay. How can I help you." If they persist asking to speak to a name, just tell them "Can't take or connect employee or customer calls on this line. What we do .. any person entering or exiting lot has to swipe their pass thru our scanner .. then any message prints out and guard gives it to them ..   so give me your name .. company .. phone .. and who is the message for" - - - if it's a real call they will give you the info and you can do what you want about calling them back or whatever .. ..  Usually solicitors just say sorry wrong number .. they still may call back a few times but if you persist with your dialog they will knock you off their predictive dialing computer .. make the name of your company something your state is known for, like in Minnesota you could just answer, "Lakes" and you can be a landfill company or an excavation company .. in Texas you could just answer, "B O T .. Big Ol' Texas" and you can be a big oil rig moving company .. etc .. use your imagination and make it fun!! .. has worked terrifically for us to get us off most lists of naggers etc .. HAVE FUN!!!!!!!!
