- benJust activated a phone with virgin mobile. The calls started coming in within minutes. The first time they asked for james. I have not answered again but have been plagued by these calls every day since.
- Bek replies to ferguson296This number has been calling me since 8 something this morning. I DO have Verizon, I've had it for about 5 years but I DO NOT have an account at fifth third bank. I didn't even answer the call as it was an unknown number and if it was an important call they would have left a message. What is going on?
- FIFTH THIRD BANK SUCKS replies to Charlie| 3 repliesFifth Third bank is the WORST bank I have ever done business with. The will harass you NON-STOP. You can complain, but nothing ever happens. Their people are rude, insensitive robots. PLEASE save yourself from a lot of anguish. DON'T DO BUSINESS WITH FIFTH THIRD BANK. If you do, I promise you will regret it. Even if you pay all your bills on time, they will still make your life a living hell. I would gladly pay a higher interest rate to be rid off these [***] clowns.
- Honest Abe replies to FIFTH THIRD BANK SUCKS| 1 replyMaybe we should all start calling them non-stop. We can yell at them and be rude to them. ATTENTION HACKERS - shut down their website. www.53.com .
Everybody commit to calling them 10 times a day and just waste their time. If enough people call, we can give them a taste of their own medicine. - DickI keep getting calls from this number on my Verizon cellphone. I have read the posts and have never done business with 5th 3rd bank. I have had the same cell number for years and I am also on the do not call list. I wonder if Verizon is giving them the phone numbers?

- MargreetIt's Fifth Third bank's collection service, and they are relentless. They use an autodialer which cycles through hundreds, or thousands, of phone numbers within a very short time. The real live human being sits at the call station and probably plays "angry birds" until a real person answers. "Marvin" sounded shocked when I answered the phone, and it took a little bit for him to regain his composure. I am late on a payment, and that's what they've been calling about. This guy was very courteous; "Veronica" was an officious b-word. I guess it depends on the individual.
As for Verizon, I bet they recycle their phone numbers; if you start a new account, you're probably getting the previous owner's collection calls. Bummer.- Caller: Fifth Third

- Laura Siliceo-RomanWe get several calls a day from this number, both at home and on my cell phone. If I answer, there is no one there. If I try to call back, there is no answer, just that beep and a message telling me I cannot get through. It is extremely irritating. I noticed here that many people seem to believe that it is 5th/3rd Bank, and we do have a loan via them, which is soon to be paid off. Any way I can get them to stop?
- Caller: Fifth Third Bank
- Dave SThey keep calling our business line over and over and just hang up when we answer. I finally called the number back and the guy gave me the names of 2 former employees "associated" with that number. I told him they can't be reached at this number and he said it would be removed. We'll see if it actually works. I route most of my business calls through google voice during the day so I will just block them if they don't stop.
For Debbie Moss above, that has to be one of the silliest things I ever saw, posting your att mobile number for all to see. I'm going to report the post so maybe it will get deleted, for your sake.- Caller: Fifth Third Bank

- AwakeRead these posts. This is clearly not a bank calling but a Identity Theft Scam!
- Caller: Unknown
- AwakeSomeone is spoofing the caller ID of the bank. No bank would initiate a call to a customer and then ask THEM to provide their personal information. I called the Number and reported this to the bank.

- Harrass Me No More| 1 replyI get a call probably 3 to 6 times per day from this number which equate to all hours of the day, they are very persistent and annoying, I am trying to payoff a loan and due to their paperwork trying to charge me 2x what the loan statement was additional issues caused me to have to deal with the loan department as well as these people.
I will never deal with this bank again, and would make sure if you are getting these calls without being a true debt problem to let them know and complain about the harrasment.
And to anyone who actually doesnt pay their bills you are the reason for these kind of companies, all others who are honest hard working people dont deserve this kind of treatment.
Fifth Third should be ashamed of these types of tactics.- Caller: Fifth Third Bank

- JennaThis number has called me about ten times in the past two days and no ones is on the other line, i just called it back and spoke with a man supposedly from 5/3 band. He asked me if i know Mrs. Roosevelt which i dont so he took my number down and i simply just told him to take me permanently off of this call list. Hopefully it stops.
- claytonfifth/third bank is the sorriest excuse for a financial institution i have ever had the misfortune of dealing with and i will never make that mistake again. I advise everyone to do no business with them either.
- Caller: fifththird bank
- ThomasYeah, this isn't the real Fifth Third. I do have an account with them, and a Verizon number that I've had for 6+ years, so after receiving the message from this number, I dropped by the brick-and-mortar bank and asked them what was up. They had absolutely no idea, and there were no problems with my account.
From the looks of this thread, these identity thieves impersonating 5/3 been going at it for over three years now. Always the same number, always the same message, always the same scam. You'd think these jokers would be easier to catch.- Caller: Scammers
- pamits fifth third bank..mortgage is not due till the 16th of the month..and they call and call till then!!
- Caller: fifth third
- Call type: Debt collector
- kbThis is definitely a fraudulent phone number. First off 5/3 would not ask people their personal info over the phone. Its basic knowledge to not give out personal info. The bank even states on their website they don't contact people by phone asking for personal info. My advice would be to block the number. I keep getting collections calls for a person that had my number before me. . .very frustrating.

- Jason replies to mikeI believe there is an exception that they can call if they have a business relationship with them... so if you have 3/5th account, pretty sure they can call.
- TerrySomeone from this number consistantly call and hang-up
- Big JimIt's Fifth Third. If you are 1 day late, but still in the "grace" period, they start calling, sometimes more than once a day. If you answer, you are speaking to someone for whom English is not their first language. I regret doing business with them and intend to refinance as soon as the economy improves.
