Getting unwanted calls from this number

I have received many calls from this number and am very disturbed.   My phone rings about every fifteem minutes from unwanted, unknown numbers, of which because I do not know or recognize  I do not answer! and will not answer!

This number legitimate, i.e. Walmart advising you that your prescription is ready.

I usually get a recorded message when my prescription is ready for pick up from Walmart.  Not this time; although I am waiting for a refill.  They always leave a voice mail (recorded) if I don't pick up.

This number is for Wal-Mart/Sam's Club pharmacy calling to you know that your prescriptions are ready for pickup and the price.

Be glad for the service. Another pharmacy called and left a message a few years ago. Someone had tried to refill  a narcotic prescription pain  killer  I had gotten once after some major surgery for pain  Someone  had gotten hold of the RX number. and would have succeeded in getting the script and even billing insurance  if TX did not have a law that there is no refills on narcotics. The phone message was that the doctor was being asked to OK a renewal. I immediately called the doctor who had done the surgery and called the local police. But this must be so commonplace that no one followed up with me on it.
So if you got a call and no script was ordered check it out as that national Health Insurance database that is used for medical history for all of us for treatment now, may show you on a medication you  are not currently taking You can correct things locally, but since that data base is a govt contract owned by Emblemhealth international is not under the HIPPAA law and  cannot get corrected. Govt officials and govt contractors are not under it. So once the pharmacy has it on records that info ends up in it. And Congressional study of 8 years ago shows many deaths and other bad things have happened to patients as it was used for medical history and treatment especially in and Emergency room. So find out as the end result could be life threatening if you get the wrong med in an ER. This is just one more thing our new Congress needs to fix. Simple one sentence law? Why not do it?. This is a phishing phone scam which walmart claims to have no knowledge of and doesn't really seem to care, because after all, what can they really do to stop it?

The individual claimed to represent walmart (using 866 575 4108)  and spoke of opting in and out of alerts and other weird stuff.

The direct number to walmart pharmacy is 1.248.853.2174.

Yeah, I guess no one is allowed to make an error in your world?  This service has literally millions of records.  They have some of them wrong.  Get over it.

In answer to your question, I think it's just the toll free, because it's a call service not a part of Walmart itself. Rite Aid does the same. But, Walmart and Rite Aid and all the rest should just do the calling themselves. We all get enough "unknown" callers. I'm sure it would cost them less to have one of their clerks call the customer and say, (name), Your prescriptions are ready for pickup, or press (2) if you'd like them delivered.

You are absolutely correct. It's Walmart NOT SHOWING their name on the caller ID!  And the problem is, that I NEED to get their callback for prescriptions so I can pick them up. With a plain toll free number showing, I don't always pick up the phone and miss the call (90% of my incoming calls are spam).

Does everyone really like to say DUH on here i mean like come on. just ignore it unless you have a prescription ready

Called. I did not awnser. 8am 12/09/2014,.

I have tried and tried to get WM to call me when my medicine is ready and the auto service says call your pharmacist if you have trouble and they cannot tell me how to get the call. It is very flusterating.  They had me set up several months ago but they now say they do not know what happened that I am not getting the calls.  Both me and my husband are in our 70s and we can not go up there and wait forever.l

The problem is no one from Walmart is calling me when my prescriptions are ready! What happen I keep asking them to call me when my prescriptions are ready they don't, what's up with this service ....

I would like to stay in your 3.00 mediceine program I erased the number that they called me today,from I need to talk to some one about staying in the program ,its the only way I can pay for my medicene
