Idiot,  when they asked for your ph number they meant your cell phone.  you gave them your home landline.  SO, THAT IS THE ONE THEY CALLED.   DUHHHHH

I received it right after giving the Walmart pharmacy my number to received prescription texts.  It must by the Walmart Pharmacy.

november 23 1:56. don't even go to walmart... i didn't pick up. when i called back it said it was walmart. i just got this phone. probably why.

From Walmart Pharamacy.  I don't believe this system has the kinks worked out of it yet, because it will call and when answered just be dead air.  If you call the number back you get a recording.  I believe at some point the message gives you the option to opt out of the system.  Have to listen carefully for this.  They call us even though we have no prescriptions to pick up at that time.  Walmart really needs to get this corrected.  If nothing else it gives the impression of a weak, underdeveloped internal system.

OK, people, listen up.  This is a service that Wal-Mart offers so that you can be paged/called/texted when your scripts are ready.  It is not a collection agency, it is not bogus, and it is something YOU signed up for.  It's a service for people who a: don't feel like waiting for 45 minutes to an hour to pick up their scrips, b: want to continue to shop while their scrips are being filled without feeling like they're being held hostage waiting for their medicine to be filled, and c: don't have the time or  patience to stand around and wait for their name to be called out.  It's a matter of privacy--they can call your name without calling your name--OUT LOUD.  It's an awesome service, especially if you live nearby or have other errands to run in the immediate vicinity.
You would have had to have given them your number for this to be happening in the first place, so it is of your own doing.  If you don't want it to happen anymore, then opt out of it.

This is indeed automated Walmart Pharmacy, if you use the automated system to fill a scrip, this is the reminder call to let you know when it's filled.

If you don't use a Walmart Pharmacy?  Do as suggested here, call it back and be removed from the list, clearly Walmart has an incorrect number on file for someone that DOES have a scrip ready.

I definitely NOT sign up for this, i never go to walmart for pharmacy. I keep getting calls and it's really annoying. True that it is walmart pharmacy, they need to work on getting the correct phone numbers in the system because this sucks

It is the WalMart Pharmacy saying you have a script to pick up. They ask you when you drop it off if it is ok to call.

Exactly.  It is the Wal Mart pharmacy calling to tell you your perscription is ready.

No.. it's not JUST if you sign up for it.. I did not sign up for it.. but got a call.  I did "unsign" up for it.

They only call the numbers they are given.  How could they possibly know it was the wrong number?  If you are being called at some point someone filled a prescription at Wal-mart and listed that phone number, if it isn't you, you have either been assigned someone's old number who did have scripts filled there -or- some chumbalone wrote their number down incorrectly and it happes to be your number.  Just breathe deeply, count to 3 and opt out. :)

Yes it may be an awesome service for those who did sign up but alot of us are saying we did not and are being harassed with these calls and no way of stopping them I have a new cell number possible the person before me did sign up but I did not and do not enjoy getting calls at all hours letting me know a script I do not have is ready! Can you see how that would be a little irritating expecially when opting out is almost impossible!

However, we have NEVER used Walmart Pharmacy.  Have no prescriptions.  Never will at this point.
An automated message says you can dial "0" to remove your phone number.  This NEVER works.  The call is transferred to no where, just fails with a Beep tone at the end.

Calling back the same number and entering option "3" claims to remove your number.  A recorded voice gives you confirmation that your number is removed.  However, this also FAILS as the calls keep coming almost every day.  

Screw U WalMart!  Somebody please post the home phone number of the WalMart VP in charge of the automated prescription system. I would like to call this person everyday and see how he likes it.

I get calls from (caller ID) Walmart with a live person telling me if a prescription is ready to be filled "according to their records", did I want to fill it? I get my prescriptions at Sam's Club.

NEVER signed-up for this.

Opting out FAILS as the calls just keep coming.  Do not post if you don't know what you are talking about!!!
