These people are unreal!  They call at least twice a day and there are almost 40 pages of complaints here from others they have done the same to.  SOMETHING needs to be done to stop them!

For months, on every single Sunday anywhere between 8 & 10am like clockwork,  we would get a call from this number.
If you must answer this or any 800 number, answer it like this....
" Hello, before we begin , I must inform you by law that this call is recorded & may be monitored for quality assurance".
They won't even stay on the phone.

I went through this very issue with my ex wife, a few years back.  I kept getting calls about her debts, when I told the collection agency that I am NOT responsible for her debts, they continued to call.  After contacting an attorney, and discussing it with them, I was told the best way to get them to stop, is send a cease and desist letter, advising them that you do not know how to contact this person, and that they are to stop calling you.   Under the Fair Debt Collections Act, if these calls do not stop, you will file a law suit, and that they can be held liable and pay fines of up to $1000 per incident.    Usually a well worded letter from an attorney will get them to stop very quickly.  It does work, The attorney I dealt with was good,he had them stop within a week of taking it to court.   There are some attorneys who will do it pro bono if they win for you.   In my case, he took them to court for costs etc,  He won the case, got approx $3000 for his end, and sent me a check for $1000 on his end.  I was was called once afterwards, by the agent who kept calling, and the agent was verbally abusive.  I contacted the attorney and literally he called them with me on conference call, and advised them he was going to file a second court case if I got called again. I never heard back again.   I would give you his name, but I don't recall it,  I can tell you he's out of the Detroit area though.  I was living in Michigan at the time.

No message, calling on Sunday after 8 PM in violation of Federal & State laws applicable to debt collection. Don't owe anyone anyway.

Reported them to the FTC, state AG, and CFPB, plus sending certified "cease and desist" letter.  CFPB has submitted a complaint to the company.  I've documented calls - if all this doesn't work, I have a good lawyer.

Calls are coming from some place in the middle east, far side of the world. with people saying their names are Peter, and Mary and Chandler LMAO.

I have now received 5 calls from (866) 580-4780 claiming to be Central Portfolio Control calling to collect a debt. Out of the 5 calls I did not answer due to the fact that the number is not listed as one of my contacts they finally left a message today. I looked up the number they asked me to call them back at and it does not match a single number on the actual Central Portfolio Control Companies website.

Received a call  from 866-580-4780. When I  answered the phone, the caller hung up.

I receive at least 4 calls a day from this number! Never any messages left. No company name or city & state shows when number is calling me either! Just
866-580-4780 appears. When I call back I get recorded message to hold on for a rep that never answers. Very annoying!

They've called 3 times today and it's only 11am!

Would not tell what the call was for unless i gave them my personal information and i did not so then they got rude i hung up and blocked them.

Midland.....called 2/4/16 @ 9am & again @ 10am.  called many times before.  Caller id says Midland (most of the time) & they s/b stopped,  we owe nothing & don't deserve this harassment...we're 80 yrs old & don't need this!
