- FishThanks for the info...
I'll be sure to never answer!- Caller: unknown
- TTVCalled and claimed to be bank of America, This is a fraud, report them if they continued to bother you. Do not give out any information!!!! Bankers will never have an automatic system called you for these type of things!
- AndreaThat's funny because I have not missed a payment and they just called me. I have had MANY issues with Bank of America and had to have the company put money back into my account on several occations! They are very tricky, call me and my husband to set payments up and it caused us to make double payments for the last 3 months! I called back and complained every time and had them transfer money back. I think I will just ignore all phone calls and switch to a different bank! Now that I have had several other unknow callers, I do not anwser the phone. I refuse to discuss anything over the phone now, they better just send me stuff in the mail.
I think it to be werid for more than one person state it's two different banks! - AndreaSo, I called this number back after they called for the second time today. It did as the others said, beeped twice and rang to another extension. When the person answered and said they were from card services. (No company, but they did end up referencing the last four of the card from Bank of America) They asked for my account number, I told them I did not have it. Then asked for the phone number they called, I gave it to them (they obviously already had it). He pulled my info up and told me that I was late on my payment. I told him that I was not, I paid the min. payment on the statement and I wanted to speak with someone else. I was transfered to a female and she again asked for my account number, I said I don't have it. Asked for my S.S.N, I told here that I would not give that info out and she said she understood. (I have NEVER had any company ask for my full S.S.N. over the phone!) She asked for my last name and I spelled it out (only 5 letters) and it took her 3 min. to spell it correctly! I started to use A as in Apple, to get her half way spell my name right. Then she told me nothing was in her system. Well if nothing is in there, why are they calling me? I told her that if she can't pull the info up than they can just mail me something. She hung up the phone before I even finished the statement above!
Of course this is a scam! I just don't know how the first guy knew so much about the account from a telephon number. Maybe someone is working on the inside to get info. Whatever is happening, they need to catch these people. I will alway check who is calling before returning these calls!!!- Caller: "Card Services"
- VBThey keep calling me but i never pick up; i just did a google 'advanced search' on the number and happily found this site. i figured it was BOA for late credit card payment. I remember when they were Fleet Bank in the New England area. I loved Fleet but BOA is a really horrible horrible bank. THe only advantage is that ATMs are everywhere and the US has tons of BOA's everywhere. they always tack on hidden extra charges; they have hidden charges for everything.
- Caller: Bank of America
- NikkiThis number has called me twice and left no message. I called it back with no answer it sounded as if it were disconnected. We were just victims of identity theft so I thought maybe they had something about that. I called our cc company about the identity theft and they told me that nobody has tried to contact us. Just be aware of this scam.
- Caller: not sure
- kxThese and other similar guys are using different tactics to get your personal information. They are so well-organized. Don't give them any info at all. I don't understand why government agencies are not doing anything to stop these people. They are calling from India. And it seems that a few of below messages (e.g BA code below) were written by them.
- Caller: bad people
- Hope| 2 repliesThis number will not stop calling me!! How can you make them Stop??
- keseythese people CLAIM to be Bank of America - but they (at least in our case) are clearly trying to scam us. they do not even have and address or other pertinent details, yet they try to con us into making a payment against an account that never existed .. supposedly in the name of my daughter .. We will not give them the time of day, and may need to change our phone number because they call and call and call (typically six times/day) .. and never give up.
you would think that a fax machine picking up on the second ring would deter them .. but apparently it's no loss to them for their computers to keep up the harassment. they use many numbers, too, and forge the caller ID to show variations (such as two digits in the NNX reversed) - probably trying to avoid being blocked, but who knows?
why we can't get rid of crooks like this is a mystery to me. - RThis number calls every morning between 8:07 and 8:09 and about 5 or 6 more times a day. Never missed a payment in 10 years and they jacked my intrest rate up to 19.99% after a promotional rate and more than doubled my payment but Bank of America would still let me borrow the balance left at a rate of 1.99% til next year. Thought this was kind of nuts,I called and they refused to work anything out so I quit paying.

- tinker replies to Bebe| 2 repliesi had just called the number back and it was bank of america and not a machine they did ask for personal info but they were calling about my credit card payments being over due if yu have a credit card with bank of america and are over due wit the payment this might be the reason of the anynomus calls -thank you
- MaryI think that this number is for a call center in India that handles not only BOA, but all kinds of banks and credit card companies. That's probably why when you call them back, you may not get the same answer twice. They probably have too many different companies that they are making calls for and they just can't keep them all straight.

- dabadabadohh| 1 replywho ever the [***] is needs to stop calling. i do not have a bank acct with bank of amrica
- debbiecalls a few times a day with no message...can't be ligitimate if they don't leave a message
- JayBank of America claims I have a debt with them. There's a slight problem though, I don't have an account with them... Never had either.
Wanted me to confirm FULL account number, well, I don't have one, wants me to confirm FULL Social Security number, I don't give out that info. Wants my mother's maiden name. Um, no. I don't have an account with BoA.
Its a scam, don't give them your info. I asked them to stop calling, and they keep calling anyway, ON DIFFERENT NUMBERS. I'm about to file a harassment suit against them. - bThis is FAKE! I went to the bank, asked, they said this number is not affiliated with them.
The number that called me was 805 688 1937, and they tell me to call 888-800-2513. They call me like 10x every day. When I call back someone pick up and says "card services, I need to give you information about your card, tell me your DOB, last 4 digits of social..." etc
Bank of America told me they would never make phone calls this, and that I should keep a close eye on my account and maybe get a new account number.
I am thinking of telling the police.
