- h8thesecalls replies to Shockjay| 1 replyI hate these calls--they finally left a message tonight and I called the 888-800-2513# they want you to call moments after they had called me and a recording came on saying "Card Services. Thank you for returning our call regarding recent changes to your account. We are currently closed, please call back during our business hours." So they called me and closed 10 seconds later? A lot of people are saying this is Bank of America...I do not now, nor have I ever had any type of account with Bank of America. I am totally up-to-date with my Orchard/HSBC payments and actually did receive a call reportedly from them that said they wanted to review recent account changes...well, I already got those in writing...so told them they didn't have to tell them to me, I can read, and have read that information. When I said that they hung up on me so that seems to be a scam, too. What people will do to try to steal your ID.
- BPIf you don't know who it is, don't answer. And DO NOT call them back. One of the techniques used by scammers is to get you to dial a number that is then routed to some overseas number (even though it looks like a U.S. number) and you can wind up getting charged a LOT of money (thousands) for the call. The can bill you something like $100 a minute, etc.
Bottom line, if this is a legitimate business inquiry from your bank about a late payment, you will be contacted by U,S. Mail. My phone rang about six times per day for several months straight, and I never answered. I wasn't late on anything, and had no idea why they were contacting me. They finally gave up.
I think these people are scams. Call your credit card companies yourself and ask them if they are using this number, if you really must know, but do NOT give strangers your social or DOB or other personal information. - BPYou can block numbers using Google Voice, fyi...

- Minthye call several times a day and when I answer no one is there
I do not call the number back - UnknownThis number kept calling my cell phone. When I finally answered, an automated voice said it was BofA and if I was not (they gave a fake name) to hit #4 and a representative from B of A would update my info. I hung up, I knew it was a fraud and they were going to ask for my personal info. BofA has my home #, not my cell.
- Angry at marketersKEEPS CALLING & CALLING. Will not leave messages. When I pick up the phone I hear click click click but no one ever comes on. I see from the other complaints that it is a bank of america credit card caller but I DON'T HAVE a credit card from Bank of America. So I actually got a credit report on myself to make sure I did not have identity theft. But there is NO Bank of America accounts listed.
I CAN'T GET THEM TO STOP HARASSING MY PHONE NUMBER.- Caller: ???
- Alice866-635-4316 keeps calling, several times a day. I don't answer and they don't leave a message, but is on long enough to make my recorder pick up a beeping sound.
- another onethey have been calling also.. and i called them back they answer card service, i asked them which card the person on the phone gave me like 40 names of credit cards when asked why so many he laught nerviously and responded all those credit card outsource their services to them and then he hang up
- Caller: bofa
- briandoesnt matter how many times you tell them they have the wrong number they just keep calling. rude and arrogant people
- TimThis probably is BOA trying to strong arm people to make extra payments. I am on a program but they tend to try to get me to pay more than what I should be paying every so often. I guess there Executives didn't learn anything from the economic collapse. Just in case it's them I am going to issue a cease and desist order on them calling me. If you tell them to stop then they have to. That will verify if it's really BOA.
- C MartinReceived a phone call from this number claiming to be B of A. They then asked for my bank info and credit card number with the 3 digit security card number. THEY ARE NOT B of A. I have just reported them to the FCC and Bof A. Lets see what happens.
- JDinFLBottom line is, never call the number they tell you to call on the answering machine or voice mail. I received calls before supposed to be from "Security" about suspected possible fraudulent activity and asked me to call a number I never heard of. Looked on the back of my credit card and called that number instead. The bank was more than happy to forward me to the security department.
Stick to only the numbers on the back of your card. Ignore the others or block their calls. If Obama called me and said he was the President, I'd say, "yeah right" and hang up on him. Actually, if I knew it was him, I wouldn't answer! LOL!....but that's a different story.- Caller: unknown
- yasma replies to Osammy Mammyit is Bank of America--they called on the job, then at home as soon as you miss a payment
- AlfredPoor BofA has to use a 3rd party to "balance the workload" because they can't be associated with such harassing calls. My callers refuse to identify their employers, location, call back number, or how much they get paid to lie to me. They insisted on getting me to verify my card number and security code before they answering any questions. They cheerfully acknowledged my difficulty distinguishing between a scam and a legitimate inquiry. Asking for a supervisor was a waste of time since he just hung up on me. There is really no point in discussing anything with them, because their only goal is to get you to pay, pay, pay and get current. BofA gets 29.99% interest, taxpayer bailout, mortgage foreclosure fraud, unconscionable bonuses and perks. We get humiliating, unsympathetic, obnoxious phone calls. It's not personal, it's business. Don't get mad, get even.

- NJAWebsterThese people callled me over a year ago and they are starting again! They're half scam, half company preying on those who need help!
They tell you they're from Card Services for BoA/VISA or other. Then they ask for all of your info and access your account the same way that you would online or over the phone. Then they tell you they're going to help you renegotiate your interest rate with the company.
I went through the whole spiel and gave them my info because I thougt that they really were with BoA, but when they got to the point where I had to record a statement saying that I authorized a third-party to have full access to my account and to charge a $500 service fee to my Credit Card, I told him that I didn't understand. He told me he never said he represented BoA or VISA, just that he was in charge of negotiating rates with those banks. They called back a few times to try to convince me, but I asked for a number to call them back if I changed my mind. He said he couldn't give me a phone number, so I quickly hung up and called BoA to alert them! They said it had nothing to do with them and put an ID watch on my account.
DO NOT GIVE THESE PEOPLE ANY INFO. If you're not sure whether or not you owe your bank, call them and ask and inform them that you've been getting these calls. Luckily no damage to me because I caught on and acted quickly!! Gad i could help- Caller: 866-635-4316
