Keeping getting calls from 866-635-4316....How did they get my number, it's so annoying

This number calls my cell phone.  
Does not leave voice mail message.
If is is Bank of America card services, I do not have any accounts with Bank of America.

They call here and leave messages for my husband.  He does not have a BofA account, and the Household thing isn't even remotely familiar to us.  I have a BofA but it is in my maiden name.  He is current on all his cards.

get 15 calls a day from this number

It is not Bank of America. I called Bank of America and asked why they were calling and asking for my SSN. My BOA Rep. told me there was nothing wrong with any of my accounts, and they would only call if I had some sort of abnormal charges.

I just received a call from this number.  I paid my BOA loan yesterday, so perhaps it hasn't processed yet, BUT I got a computer asking me to input the last four of my SS # so they could verify my account.   This sounds like a scam to me, as ANYONE can call and say they're from BOA to get the last four of your social.  With that and your phone number, they have access to many things regarding your credit, and it makes you one step closer to identity theft.  DO NOT give out any personal information when they call, just tell them that you will make a payment on XXX date and keep that promise and tell them you don't feel comfortable giving out personal information over the phone.  They can't do anything except keep calling if they're legit, and if you have a promise to pay in their system and keep that date, they normally don't bother you again (unless you miss the promise date)

This is not Bank of America.  It is a scam.  I called my bank and asked if they would call and ask those questions and they said they would absolutely not.  Do not give them any information!!

Calls each day, 2 or 3 times. always a recording. I do nto think this is Bank Of America!

Keep getting called by them, and they say "changes to your account," but that's all I hear on the phone.

They call, never leave a message.  BOA has swallowed up several banks throughout the US (MBNA, Fleet to name a couple), so if you had a past account with one of those banks, the call could conceivably be legit.  However, if it was a serious business inquiry regarding your account, they would (exercising proper business due diligence) leave a message with a callback number (which would typically be a different number).  Armed with this knowledge and having read the other posts, it is a scam.

This is a scam, mention just that you have talked to Bank of America about their calls and they will hangup, they haven't called back since I did this but if they were from BOA, which they said they were part of then they wouldn't hang up on you. IT IS A SCAM. The posters here who are saying otherwise have either not talked to BOA about this number or are part of the SCAM posting to keep people giving them information. If they say there is a problem with your account call BOA directly and ask. Good luck and stay sharp!

We are getting several calls a day too. Talked to Bank of America, they said this number is not affliated with them!!! The caller says they are from Bank of America and they want to talk to me or the other person on my account. They want personal information. I told them I would call them back after i talk to the bank. FRAUD... Beware... They told us they are from card services too. The real bank said they would never ask us for information over the phone. Do NOT give out any information to an incoming call you did not request!!!!!

For my case, they were calling on behalf of Bank of America Card Services.  If you missed a payment, it seems they are asked to get on your case.  Call this number, 888-800-2513, to find out what the issue is and get your name off their list.

just keeps calling.  no message, no one there when i answer. very frustrating

866 635 4316. Anyone who thinks this is really their actual bank is being an idiot. This is a fraud. They are calling eight times a day and so forth, your bank or credit card company would never do thi.

I have no accounts whatsoever with Bank of America.  I have exactly two credit cards and one mortgage, and they're with other banks. I can't possibly owe the Bank of America anything.

In my case they've never left a voicemail.

I liked a preceeding comment "[when I answered...] it asked for my social security number [so] I hung up."  If it walks like a scam, and it quacks like a scam, it's a scam.

This is one of many numbers that calls at the same time everyday or at least close. I have no BOA Acount.

thanks for the info guys. I always ignore these calls and they never leave a message. It's a good thing I googled it. appreciate all the feedback on here. gotta watch out for each other! aloha~~

They keep calling me but I've never had an account with them.

Easy solution:  I saved them in my phone as a contact and set ringer to silent.  I also added them to my "ditchmail" service, so they always get a very sarcastic email and can NOT leave me a message, LOL
