- twilliamsI've not yet called them back, since I've been pretty busy and they just started on Friday. Call, call, call. About an hour between them. Very annoying! I just turned the cell off.
Once I looked up the number I got concerned, so I pulled a credit report. Besides one -late- payment 6 months ago, it's clean and in good standing. I -did- have a BoA account years ago, and even though it doesn't show on my report, I decided to call them and see if I'd forgotten to close it or something. Nope, according to the girl there it was closed -6- years ago with a 0 balance in good standing. She had no idea why they'd be calling me.
So I'm at a loss as well, unless it's someone calling looking for my brother, who probably -is- behind on payments and in default. - KTCalling but don't leave message
- DaveoI got the call today as well. They knew my name, i confirmed my address (they said it was BofA, which i bank with)then they said i was late on a CC payment (not true since I dont even use it). They told me they would waive late fees if I could make payment on the phone. Smelt wrong - but when they asked me for my banking details I started laughing - if you are BofA you HAGVE my info!!! So said I will take care of any issues on line. To my surprise, I don't have any issues ....text all your friends not to answer calls from 866 635 4316.
- icwhiteI have been receiving at least 3 to 4 calls per day starting at around 8:30 a.m. from 866-635-4316. The automated message knows my name and says they have important information about a change to my account. The message then instructs me to press #1 if it's me or #2 if it's not. When I press #1, I get another automated message saying they are "card services" and to enter the last 4 digits of my Social Security Number. That's when I hang up. If this is indeed Bank of America, then it is obviously a scam. I have never banked with them; nor do I have a credit card with them.
- Albert| 1 replyIt's Bank of America trying to collect late payments.. I am too broke to deal with them since I have been laid off so I can't make the payments! Leave me alone!
- Caller: Bank Of America
- Call type: Debt collector
- bcI just got a call from this number on my cell. When the recording asked me to confirm my billing zip or last four digits of my SSN, I hung up. I do have a card with them that I'm struggling to pay, so it could have been a legitimate call, but no sense taking chances, especially with some of the posts that I've read here. Thanks everyone!
- Caller: Bank of America (maybe)
- MeThey keep calling me but I have voicemail that allows me to program in their number so it cuts them off as a telemarketer call and not leave a message. If it is BoA they have no reason to be calling me.
- Caller: Possible Bank of America
- Call type: Telemarketer
- Alfred W. Charlson| 1 replyPlease do not call my phone # (253)874-2599 again. I have no Bank of America Card and never will. At this point I feel I am being harassed by your company and if it does not stop I will turn to my General Attorney.
Thanks for your cooperation

- KrisThese guys are animals. They keep calling and hanging up. I called the number back and they said they were Bank of America. But I am not sure what account they are calling about; but they hang up anyway, so why are they calling all the time, over 10 calls a day. They should not know my cell number (or so I thought) Wish I could sue them. 1.28.2010.
- Caller: Bank of America
- Aliasrn replies to tinker| 1 replyTHIS IS NOT BANK OF AMERICA!!! IT'S A SCAM!!! It doesn't matter if you have a late BOA card payment due....this is still a scam NOT Bank of America.
- KarenJust got a call myself from them. When I answered, it was that same automated message as above - 1 if it was me 2 if it wasn't. Um, if you're not going to say WHO you are when, I'm not going to care about "changes to my account". I hung up on the voice.
Glad I googled this, though. We've never had an account with Bank of America, so definitely scammer. - princezzcalled at the crack of dawn and then I got hung up on
- taking advantage of innocent peopleI got the call on MY cell phone, several times!. They are looking for my spouse, who has own phone. The message said they are Bank of America calling to let my spouse know that there is a change in the status of bank account. We called Bank of America right away. NOT THE NUMBER THEY TOLD US TO CALL BACK. They checked out the accounts and nothing red flagged them. The Bank of America Rep said it sounds like a fraud call. NEVER CALL THE NUMBER BACK DIRECTLY, THIS IS A FRAUD CALL. These people need to get a real jobs and stop taking advantage of people who are not aware that predators such as these exist.
- Caller: Bank of America
- ScumwaffleGot the call today. Very rude lady clamining to be BofA..... yeah right.
- Caller: Don' Know
- Hate LiarsRobo-call Saying they were Bank of America. Called them back and after I pressured them they got very cocky and identifed my name by my phone number on the caller id. I told them I don't have a Bank of America card and they insisted I did, after telling them I thought they were scammers they finally said they were actually AAA Credit Card.
Hey losers, be honest up front.- Caller: Supposidly Bank of America
- Watercolor ArtistHave been receiving computer calls claiming to be BofA - and that I am late on a credit payment card with the last four numbers of some bogus numbers AS THESE ARE NOT THE 4 NUMBERS OF MY ACCT! This has to be a scam - and then the computer voice is asking if I would like to make the late payment at this time. Right. Giving out any info is just asking for major trouble. I am not late on my credit card payments (thank God) so for sure, this is a scam.
- hcThis number is calling my cell everyday about the same time. Even
Saturday and Sunday's. I don't answer it because I don't take calls
on my cell if I don't know who it is. They never leave a message.
How do I stop them from calling. - catch22 replies to AliasrnI have been getting this number calling, since I got a new number. They dont leave a message, and it's an automated caller, becuase the first couple times I answered, there was the quiet pause as it was transferring to a live person, so I hung up..
- patsySomeone called, at first no response, when the caller did respond, he was rude, very ghetto and demanded payment on a Master Card I had never heard of. When he mentioned a balance, it was for a embellished credit card that had been paid off Feb. of 1994. The man informed me he would continue to call until I "paid" this balance. I requested he not call me again, and he was so rude, demanding I give him my checking account number (I also want to help out that solicitor in Nigeria). I responded, Sure! Then hung up.

- SueI too received the "press 1" if you're Susan or "press 2" if she's not available. Pressed 2, and then "Press 1" if you're her husband or press 2 if not available. Again, I pressed 2. They said they were from "Card Services" regarding an important change to my account. They also told me to call back the 1-888-800-4513 number. I googled it and the caller ID number and came across this site. Glad I did. The only BOA we have is a loan for a motorcycle and it's in my husband's name, not mine with him as a secondary. After almost getting scammed by some company called RIS Investagative over a fake card through "Bank one" a few years ago (that's when I found this site) I always check here first!
