How did you manage to get the money back? I just got charged $1 and $350 from appleonline. This is ridiculous.

I have never used i-tunes or apple but charges showed up on my preauth, hold on my account. One for apple and two for steve madden. com for $1.00. I got in contact with my bank and my card was immediately canceled. These people must be getting their info from other than apple or i-tunes.

I've had literally over $300 in un-authorized charges from iTUNES in the past 2 weeks on my credit card! My citicard rep told me that this is a rampant global scam affecting lots of people. Check your statements, cancel your cards! The scam is obviously also linked to others, as I had at least 5 other companies trying to simultaneously charge over $2K to my card in the same month.

I was just hit with 51 consecutive charges for 52.99 each totaling over 2500 from this "Itunes" merchant.

I heard about this yesterday morning on the local radio news - here is an article I found when I GOOGLED it this morning.

i received 3 calls from 866-712-7753 over a 2 week period. I was suspicious of the calls and called Apple.com and also AT&T. The AT&T rep did a google.com search on that # and found out it is a fraudulant ph. # and advised me to cancel my credit cards which I did.

They charged a buck and change then 6 bucks and change... I just realized thats not the card I am even using for my itunes account these guys need to be tracked down... FRAUD....

I do not want to have any thing to do with this company. I have been charged for services not ask for . remove my name and all info .

I've had a bunch of fraud charges on my debit card from Apple Itunes ranging from .99 cent to $14.95. I had to cancel my card, I already hated Apple and now this just adds wood to the fire. My credit card company asked my 5 times if I was sure I didn't make the itunes charges like maybe they though I went on a drunk itune buying spree or something

there are weird charges of 1.00 to 28.00 on ma account from itunes in which i do not have an itunes account. i have not opened an itunes account or purchased anything from them..this is ridiculous..its the weekend and i would not be able to call the bank until monday, but i will definitely report this as complete fraud and get back all the money i lost due to this itunes fraud.. itunes should do something about this because people should not be losing money that they worked hard for..

someone called, i did not take the call and they charged my card $99.00----we are reporting fraud but not sure what willhappen next.  What the Hell???/

Hi, I´m from Chile, and I have the same problem....In my credit card appears two purchaes for US$1 each from this number: APL*ITUNES 866-712-7753 US, so I notified my bank and they blocked my cc....Anyone have some answer from apple for this frauds?

This is a scam. I don't think it has anything to do with Apple at all, they are just using the Itunes name to throw you off. Cancel you credit card right away and try to get your bank to reverse the charges.

They must have absolutely the lamest security in the world. I'm not kidding you, got charged $700. Apparently, they bought a whole bunch of gift cards. It seems like this is rampant. Why don't they either change their security or their business practices???

I checked my banking account today and noticed two separate charges, one for $30.00 and one for $50.00 that occurred 2/08 yesterday and the transaction line was APL* Itunes 1-866-712-7753, CA.  
I do not use Itunes Apple or anyother electronics other than my computer.  My bank was very helpful and I filed a fraud claim with them.  They tell me I will be reimbursed, and my debit card closed immediately to prevent further financial losses.  It is a hassel but necessary.

Representative said somehow my debit card number was obtained and could easily occur online even if I do not use online services rarely.  It could occur at Atm;s, gas stations, or with other vendors that use your card for payment.  People who want to steal have the skills to do so.
He said that someone may have purchased gift cards since they were small amounts and rounded numbers.  So the person that uses or gets the gift card may not even know it is a stolen transaction.

I hope who ever steals from anyone will get what they deserve for breaking the law and taking advantage of others.  

Keep your personal information secure as I suspect it can happen to anyone at anytime anywhere.

WTF!!!  got charged over 254.92 dollar on my debit card by this stupid company and i don't even have an account for i tune shiet...i got the number 18667127753 from my bank statement.  the charge was on pending, good thing i check my account earlier in the morning to see if my check when through and i notice there was this amount place on pending charges and immediately contact my back to canceled everything....Still I'm pissed because i have to wait for about a week to get a new debit card to spend....fawk!!!

Somebody needs to track their merchant ID when these charges get made, and find these S.O.B.'s  This is ridiculous!!  Theres 9 pages of this thread alone of ppl who have been ripped on by these scam artists.  They just got me for $100.86.  Little do they know I work here at the bank and will be pursuing this to the fullest of my potential.  Time for this to end.
