8665290010 this chief of staff lol not the military . but this is a  illegal debt collection company that try to act like a law firm  try to say i have a court date and i would go to jail if i didn't not pay  him Michael Mancone is a thief  and lair Here's the deal. Pinnacle Asset Group is a very shady and illegal debt collection company. They try to call themselves legal assistants that work for a "legal processing firm" to make them seem important. I worked there very briefly, until I realized what they were all about. First off, they try to scare you with a possible civil lawsuit, that never happens. In fact, they are the ones that are getting sued on a daily basis. Second, they jack up the actual balance that is currently owed anywhere from $500 - $1500 and call it a "pre-trial balance" and then tell you that they have a great "settlement" they have been authorized to give you from their client, and then offer you the current balance that's actually owed. No real reduction at all. They just want you to think you got some great deal. Third, their "client" American Capital Investor Holdings, is actually 1 person, Michael Mancone, who just so happens to also be the owner of Pinnacle Asset Group. Michael uses the alias of Mark Johnson and title of Chief of Staff at Pinnacle, but by now, he might have changed his name again. The "Director of Operations" David Castle is actually Stephen Cook. He's good at throwing "legal sounding" phrases and threats at people to scare them into paying. The "Operations Manager" is Jonathan Hilton, who's real name is Gary Jones. He's another one that likes to threaten people with lawsuits if they can't pay. Again, these are idle threats. There are more lawsuits coming in then there are going out. I'd be surprised if they actually sue 2% of these debts. Whatever you do, DON'T PAY THIS BOTTOM FEEDING COMPANY!!!

They are Con Artists and Frauds.  They cannot provide and legal document.  Be smart people.  I turned their number into the Arkansas Attorney General.  There are laws that govern how they talk to you nor cam they threaten you or your family.  Block their number they cannot do crap.  They buy info.  They cannot produce one peice of legal document and say they do do have time to get it to you.  I busted them and verified their numbers thru 2 diiferent agencies are scammers.  Both had attorneys to verify.  Dont worry about them and report them.  VERY VERY VERY important.  Do not give them you bank info ever.  Legit collections never will ask for this and set up payments on basis on how you can pay.  As long as you make a payment there is nothing they can do.  Not these guys.  they will clean you out and they have so many names its hard to keep up.  Block the number.  Once i busted them on day 2 they vanished.  DONT BE FOOLED OR GIVE INTO THEM>  they are FRAUDS CONARTISTS AND THE LOWEST SCUM on the planet

They threatened me over a 100 bank bill that occurred several years prior and charged me 6 times the amount I initially owed. He claimed he was "being nice by giving me a discounted rate". The man then had the nerves to insult and laugh at me when I asked why the amount increased significantly. I eventually gave in to what they really wanted and contacted a lawyer. I won the case without going to court also. Granted it took a year because I was advised they were in some financial problems but I ended up receiving my money back. These people are unprofessional and crooks. Bottom line, don't pay them a dime.

I got a recent call from them a Michael Goldburg claiming they bought debt that they KNEW was out of the statute of limitations by over 10 years and claimed they were going to issue a 1099C on a debt I had never heard of,never incurred, they didn't even have my name right. I would love for them to try to and watch them get fried by the IRS. This company is not accredited or rated by the BBB for the following. This is the newest warning from the BBB about this company, this is taken directly from their site. They have it set as an alert that shows up in red lettering. **** BBB has seen a major increase in collection agencies starting business in the Upstate New York area over the past several years. In an effort to keep consumers informed about which collection agencies are operating in accordance with federal and state law, we have asked for specific information from all collection agencies located in our service area, including proof of licensing, bonding, and or registration required by NY state or other governments where the business is located, as well as proof of licensing required by any state in which the business operates. This collection agency has not responded to our requests. BBB advises consumers to be aware of their rights in regard to collections. This includes New York States law prohibiting any collection agency from collecting on Payday loans in the State of New York. The Fair Debt Collection Practices Act (FDCPA) outlines prohibited behavior when attempting to collect a debt, and outlines specific rights for consumers. There are penalties for agencies found in violation of the Act. BBB advises consumers to become familiar with their rights under the Act, which can be found at the Federal Trade Commission’s Website at: ftc.gov . Consumers can file with us at bbb.org/complain.

BBB opened an investigation on the business in regard to a high volume pattern of complaints about associates of the business breaking federal laws of the FDCPA.  The business did not respond to BBB. ***

I have been receiving endless calls from Pinnacle Asset Group. Michael Goldberg, Jonathan Brock and Stacey. They have also called many members of my family. Yesterday they called my work.....AND THAT IS THE DEAL BREAKER. This has become humiliating and somewhat frightening. This concerns a debt from over 14 years ago that belongs to someone I knew at that time. They have threatened me with a 1099C that will be issued immediately and would have serious tax liability consequences. The debt was a $5000 that with penalties and interest is now over $19000. They imply that they have generously gotten permission to settle this for $1100 but need my email acct, bank acct info and routing info immediately. Since they just posed this offer yesterday I have needed to process this for a minute. Thank goodness I read these postings. These people have not been rude but rather very professional sounding. They have indicated that the IRS will attach my wages and the sum would be hefty. My father is convinced that they are actually a legit attorney office. Looks like they might be using a new tactic.
I am however, still concerned that they will file this 1099C. They have given me until Monday morning 5 a.m. my time to respond.

"They have also called many members of my family. Yesterday they called my work.....AND THAT IS THE DEAL BREAKER. This has become humiliating and somewhat frightening.".  They are trying to humiliated you and embarrass you to the point of paying their extortion fee.  Once paid, they will put your name down on an easy marks list and sell it to other criminal enterprises.  As to the 1099C, the only thing that would do is you would have to pay tax on the forgiven amount, nothing serious, but it would be counte4rproductive for them to issue, assuming they legally could which I doubt.  You see once it is issued, they are forbidden by l;aw to ever try to collect on that debt again, and that would include all their brethren.  But if they did i8ssue it, they would probably get in hot water with the IRS.  The IRS does not attach wages unless you owe taxes or student loans.  They have nothing to do with collecting civil debt.  They are not a legit law office.  Do not capitulate to them because of their threats, you will end up being sorry and poorer for it.

Read the following and use the links to learn about your rights in this matter, how they are breaking the law, and to file reports on their criminal activities:

This is a common ploy by criminals masquerading as debt collectors who are attempting to extort money from people by scaring you into believing that you will be criminally charged, go to jail, lose your driver’s license, have wages garnished, be sued, and a variety of other variations on this,  all for an alleged or nonexistent debt.  One of the tricks they use is to call your work place, friends, or relatives repeatedly in an attempt to shame you into paying.  They also use the “process server” ruse who calls and claims he is going to serve you, but then says you could avoid it by calling another number

Federal law (FDCPA) requires them to send you a letter (US MAIL ONLY) within 5 days of their first contact that contains their name, physical address, the creditor’s name, and the amount of the alleged debt.  It also must contains “mini-Miranda” telling you that it is an attempt to collect a debt and that all information will be used for those purposes.  The one other important thing that this letter must also have in it is that you have a right to dispute the debt within 30 days of receipt of the letter and if you do so, all collection activity must be stopped until the debt is verified.
Read up on your rights here, get template letters to send and also make a complaint at this government site:  http://www.consumerfinance.gov/

Also file a complaint with your State Attorney General's office.

Total scam.  See Big A's notes!  Absolutely do not give them the time of day!

Just because someone on the phone calling you says you owe a debt does not mean you actually owe it.

If a voice on the telephone claims you owe a debt:

    1.    Demand the person give you his or her name, company name, and address
    2.     Demand a debt validation letter by US mail.  E-mail no good.
    3.    Do not pay  the collection agent or anyone else a  dime until the debt is validated

Of course they won’t do this, no scammer ever will, so simply ignore them and block their calls.

If they are bothering you, report them:

http://www.consumer.ftc.gov/articles/0149-debt-collection (Threatening civil proceedings with no intent to follow through, or threatening criminal process in order to collect a civil debt is a  violation of the Federal Fair Debt Collection Practices Act.)

Also contact your local attorney general

If they continue to bother you,  and you know you do not owe any money, tell them that you know this is  a debt scam and that you are making a complaint to the police for extortion.  Once you get a copy of the police report and they call you again , just read out the  file number and the name of the PD or Sheriff’s office involved.   Tell them you’ll be glad to send a copy to them at whatever address the jack***es are working out of now.

You'll probably have to yell at them and talk over them.  Tell 'em  no scammy debt collector is going to push you around.

You have to get tuff with these people because,  being akin to thugs, brute force is (metaphorically speaking).   the only thing they understand.

Just got the run around from this Pinnacle Processing group today. They were trying to get ahold of my grandmother who is apparently going to be getting sued for outstanding CC debt. So they called my mother-in-law to get my phone number to get ahold of my grandmother. WOW!!! They had a case # and everything. It was CRAZY!! The woman's name was Miranda Otole. And when I asked her to spell her last name 2 different times she spelled it differently each time...smh. I blocked her #, told everyone in my family and also blocked them from calling my grandmother as well. It's crazy the lengths these people will go and how far out they will reach to sound legit. BEWARE!!!

Miranda is also calling my husband, his employers, his family over a credit card I had over 10 years ago and wasn't even married to him. Some guy is also calling now stating I will be sued, arrested for theft, my property seized, blah blah blah. Really?! Their phone messages are threatening. They even call out our social security numbers and etc. They call out which court we will be sued in. This has been going on for 5 months now. I filed a complaint with my State Attorney General yesterday and filed suit today for Fair Credit Act. Boom. Now who is going to be paying who?! Game on!
