- Anonymous II replies to annoyed| 5 repliesRFA aka Reliant Financial Group aka Global AG aka Global Attorney Group of Santa Ana, California doesn't give a rat's %SS about what's legal and what's not. They break every law on the books in their quest to collect on zombie debts.
Don't take the bait. Tell them to send you a debt validation letter -- and don't give them your address. They already have it because they pulled your credit report and can quote you information about yourself that even YOU forgot about.
They will NOT send you this debt validation letter (which is required by law) and you will likely never hear from them again. - Thanks replies to Anonymous II| 2 repliesYa, think we pulled one on this guy. Had my attorney call him up and pose as me. All said and done after RFA though they got everything their way my attorney let them in as to who was who. RFA could not get off the phone fast enough. Thanks for all the input on this company.

a lindsey called today and threatened to serve papers at my work if payment of 1200.00 wasnt made by 10 a.m....and that after court the final amount would be around5400.00 and they would garnish my wages...just wondering what should do and has anyone talked to this guy- Caller: RFA
- Call type: Debt collector
- Someone who knows replies to ash86Ignore them. They are so full of BS. Federal law requires they validate IN WRITING any debt they say you owe.
"Bruce Thorne" and "Andrew Taylor" are bottom feeders who NEVER follow through on their threats. - please replies to ash86I'm still waiting on my papers, they did the same thing to me. Called work, gave me a time to pay, going to garnish my wages and so on. Tell Mr. Taylor to send proff and tell him thanks but no thanks.
- take me to court replies to AngelIf you cant pay back what you borrowed then inform the company that you borrowed from this and ask them to take you to court. never deal with a third party, they legally cant do anything to you. more then likely to company will not sue because of time and money. if they dont sue you tell any collector to fock them selves because theres nothing they can do. the only person that can sue is the company you borrowed from. dept collectors are wimps, dont let them scare you
- grandma replies to AngelFirst... I am getting calls from this company to an unknown person. I work and come home to the most threating of messages. I have to disagree. I have re turned calls to companies in the past that are calling the wrong number. They are not cooperative and are nasty even though I am not the person they are looking for. They tell me they are not going to stop . I find in these cases the best thing to do is ignore them. I can not be sued if I am not the person. I If they want to waste their time calling the wrong person and the expense of suing the wrong person, so be it. Its their loss. Second, sometimes people do have bad depts. Sometimes it is out of their control. In this time of financial hardship, should it happen, the companies have every right to collect. The do not have the right to harrass and threaten and frighten people. There are acceptable standards set that these should be followed. If they dont follow the standards they should loose their business licences. Standards of behavior are present in every field. Whether, debt collections, healthcare, banking or corrections, We are and all should be accountable for the way we behave.
- Mama DI just took your advice about these scum bags and turned them into the FTC and Florida Atty General. These people are LIARS and do the same thing to everyone. My story is the same as everyone else here. Hopefully more people will turn them in.

- Brandy replies to AngelAngel,
You do understand that your job requires you to operate within the laws set forth in FCC don't you? I don't think you hear people complaning so much that a debt collector called them as much as you hear the illegal ways they are doing their jobs.
"If debtors take care of their debts then there wouldn’t be any harassment now would there."
This statement just shows how ignorant and uneducated debt collectors are. They find you people off the street and throw you behind a desk and phone. You don't know anything about the laws and your working for commission mostly so you will do the devils work and lie your way into anything as long as you get your quota. You have no concerns for people who have lost everything due to illness, injury or even a natural disaster. Get an education and a real job, have some real life experiences, stop judging people and then come back and talk to grown folks! Then maybe you will understand "Us People".
Just because your job says you can collect debt from people doesn't mean you can lie, cheat and steal your way into it. Thank goodness for whoever created these boards. Most people are smarter than debt collectors and we get a little education before we let little Suzie Q or Johnny talk rude to us on the phone and try to scare us into paying on something we may not even owe. If you did your jobs and sent anyone proof of some real debt then we might validate your stories until then you are considered scam artist and people will continue to educate themselves until a little crappy bussines like your bosses is out of time and money to pay you little people. - Jamie replies to Dianne NelsonIf you need help or information on any of these companies that harass you into paying these so called "zombie debts" check out this link and use it for legal information...http://www.creditinfocenter.com/rebuild/debtvalidation.shtml
- Jamie replies to Anonymous II| 1 replyYea, but does a debt validation letter count if she calls you on a withheld number, then ask for your e-mail address so that she can send you settlement letter which took her 20 minutes to send to me on a letter head that looks like she just typed it on....or is a debt validation letter something that has to be certified mailed to you personally and from the "original creditor" ?
- Jamie replies to Mike| 1 replyThe RFA mitigation manager that contacted me was a Ms. Lindsey Hunt...
