I received a phone call from someone today that said that they have a judgement against me and asked me to verify the last 4 digits of my SS number and they were very rude and nasty I told him that I don't know of any judgements against me and  was not going to say if my SS was what he asked for the number that he called from was  52694182

angel how do we know if you dont work for this company. be glad that you dont have problem paying your bills. try not to pay your bill and let them call you everyday and see what you will do. yes they have a job to do but they ddont have to be nasty. or rude. with anyone.  just hope you dont have this problem

ANYONE getting calls from a "DEBT COLLECTOR".....NEEDS to READ this article!! .....This article tells how a woman SUED a DEBT COLLECTOR and was AWARDED $ 10,860,000...yes 10 MILLION $$$$ for all the harassment she received form a "DEBT COLLECTOR" This is a very interesting article! The lady's name that sued was Diana Mey, of Wheeling, W. Va...VERY SMART LADY!!!

These are not legitimate debt collectors, they're scam artist who try and extort money from people under the guise of debt collection. What they're doing is ILLEGAL, can you understand that? What is being complained about here is their ILLEGAL activity? Can you understand that? Angel, I agree that if I owe a debt, it should be collected. However, the reason they have LAWS on how that happens is that not only are they nasty as in cursing, threatening etc., they have been known to be physically violent. That's why there is a COURT system. sound like to me you are one of them despite what the fact that you say you are not. And, if I owed a debt and they tried to be somewhat nice, most of us would work out a payment plan. Apparently you have never ever done anything wrong in your life and even if it is not your debt, they don't stop like you think they would. So get off  your high horse because you OBVIOUSLY are perfect and have NEVER done anything wrong so that means you have NO business on this site!!!

I am a debt-free person and will remain that way.  I started to get phone calls from some woman who claimed she was an attorney working for CAPITOL ONE credit and was trying to collect a 6,000 debt that I OWED?  Informed her she had the wrong person, wrong address and wrong phone number.  After calling me a liar, I asked for a number to call her back on.  She actually gave me a working number.  Then I wrote to the CEO of CAPITOL ONE and informed them of this person and how she has harrassed me and I wasn;t even the person who they were looking for.  That's all it took...I did get one more phone call from this so called attorney, said she was comig to my house to get me...LOL..told her bring it on, that my brother the cop and I will be waiting for her.  Of course, it was all empty threats.  I suggest writing to the CEO of any company, whether you owe the debt or not and ask them for help.  To this day, I tell anyone with CAPITOL ONE to drop the credit card and go with another company.

they just had a judgement placed against them for 10 million dollars for illegal practices  in debt collection so i wouldnt be worried about them anymore if so contact your local attorney generals office and let them handle it.better yet get a attorney and sue them also you could become ten million richer.The funny thing is they still owe the money for the judgement and hasnt paid the lady the 10 million LESSON TO BE LEARNED HERE ?????

I have to recommend recording this harassment then filing charges with the FBI for threats with a phone (which is considered a weapon in most states).  The individual can be arrested and charged with a  felony.  This is the best answer to this abuse.  Put them in jail.

Debt collection agencies will be the next financial crisis this country will face. They buy debt for little on the dollar then claim the whole original amount (plus fees and interest) as an asset on which to borrow money from a bank. (banks are stupid) So a bank loans them,say, $1,000 on what they think is a $2000 asset(debt) but in reality that debt is probably past the Statute of limitations and/or is otherwise uncollectable.  The s--- is going to hit the fan soon.

I like so many of us posting are victims of RFA. Anyone who has been involved with these companies and feels they need to be put to an end lets get together. I have no idea where to begin but there are power in numbers so the more of us the better. Plus Diana Mey the woman with the lawsuit has contact information on her website about contacting her lawyers if you feel you have been wronged by these people. I will post my email in desperation that I get some direction about what to do or how to stop RFA, ANDREW TAYLOR, JULIE CHI AND ITS AFFILIATES. She is now in buena park acting as law firm tricking people so they pay. My lawyer will not let me give her new address yet, but will be out soon.

RFA did abulk purchase inquiry on my credit report. I have tried to call the phone number listed on the credit report and each time the line is busy ( 1-877-801-4141). The went on for two solid week at various times of the day. I found two other numbers and both were disconnected. I spoke to Experian to attempt to dispute the inquiry. I thought they would be interested in this information and would help me. Instead they gave me the run around by stating that the inquiry was legitimate. I asked they if they had a valid number or address to call RFA. The gave me the same info I already had that was inaccurate if not false. I encouraged them to call or write RFA. I explained to them that the telephone numbers were wrong and the address was incorrect. Experian basically told me tough luck.
