Apparently it's a collection agency - who probably got your number by mistake, or has it entered into their auto-dialer incorrectly.

If you ask what their company does - you get "I'm not allowed to tell you this.." and then they ask "What number are we calling?"

I'd suggest everyone start putting your phone on auto-dial to call them at regular intervals. It's an 866 number so it won't cost you anything. If they can bug you - you should bug them.

This numer does the same thing. They call 5 times a day sometimes 6. They send me texts. It is out of control. I've had to block incoming calls

I constantly get calls from these people, over and over again. The calls just started coming about two months ago and I've had this number a year and a half. finally, tired of answering and getting hung up on or not making it in time to m phone. I called back, waiting about 30secs and some woman answered. I told her to stop calling me right then, she says its bank of america and i need to pay my credit card balance. I reply I'm a 17 year old girl with zero credit cards and have no account or any contacts with the bank of america. she says 'oh and thank you for your time' then hangs up.

This is a collection agency called Pencro.  They are not Bank of America but they are probably trying to collect money owed to Bank of America.  I not only owe Bank of America a small amount but I also work for them so I am sure this is indeed a collection agency.
They called and left a message on my home answering machine and identified themselves as Pencro at 1.866.779.9279

I keep receiving these calls from 866-779-9279 ask for Chrystal at first I tried to ignore the calls but when they continued I pick up the phone and told them that this was a cell phone and that I had just receive the number to please stop calling the girl said, but they continue to call please tell me what to do to make them stop!!!!

They have called contiinuously for the past 7 months. A call a day and it gets sooooooo annoying and weve answered it and told them that whoever they were looking for this wast their number, but they still consistantly call. I woke up to my cell ringing and looked over and it was them! Yet again! Theyve called so much ive put their number on my phone as: *dont answer. Yea i wish they would stop because im not going to anwer and i no longer care.

Receiving calls from this number 6-10 times per day.  Nobody ever answers.

these [***] call 4-5 times a day, no matter the time. Whenever i answer they leave a recorded message for Jessica Gonzales and guess what, thats not me. I've seriously had enough and whenever I call back and tell them not to call they ignore me.

They called once and asked for Gloria. Nobody by that name has this phone number. They said the # would be removed. They called again today asking for the same person. I asked for the company name and was informed that it is Penncro. The phone # to their headquarters is 1-888-Penncro. Hopefully our number will get removed this time.

1 call each day so far on a new company owned cell phone.  Reporting to my companys phone rep to see if Sprint can assist in a block of this number.  Sounds like there needs to be a "junk phone call" tool out there.  

If anyone knows how to program a Blackberry to ignore a call from a number, I'm all ears.

these people have been call my cell. ask them to take my number off the list they wont.now they call and hang up .before i get to the phone.so i am going to sue them for harassment.

I get calls from this number along with 201/373/8371, 800/634/6729 and 888/669/8868, i have googled all these, i'm tired of all these calls so many times a day. I'm changing my number, dont know how they would have got my number either. I'm in IA

We have been receiving calls daily for many months.  After either someone or our machine answers, there is a pause (as the computer takes a moment to register that the phone was answered) and then, a female voice who gives the following message: "Hello.  My name is Stephanie Fox.  Please return my call at 866-779-9279."

I have never returned the call, but a Google search of the number reveals a company called Pennco and Associates, which is a collection agency.  I suspect that these calls have something to do with my sister, who lived with me several years ago and has a history of credit problems.  My sister is long gone and far away, but these damn creditors don't quit.

This number keeps calling my sons cell phone and is now leaving text messages.  They keep asking for someone else and he has repeatedly told them they have the wrong number.  Many times he gets giggles and hang up.  I have attempted to block any sales calls to his number, but this has not stopped it.

These dregs all our phone at least once a day. Twice I have said that i have reported them to the national Do not call registry. Each time they hang up.
The callers sound very uneducated and slow.
