we have got these calls and they are fake people i paid them 100 dollars to some collection agency and they told me that i would be hearing from them in a short time via email or letter ..its been a month now and nothing so yeah these people are fake................

For 5 months now, I had finally found the motivation to Google the name these debt collectors have been mistakenly addressing me over my cellphone. Little did I know that the said name had died four days ago over fatal gun shots. This was the number that called me. They've been calling me just one time a day but now that the person they're looking for is dead, they called me five times today but I never picked up since I have classes. This is so weird.

If they want to collect on a debt badly enough to call six times a day, why the he** can't they leave a FREAKIN' MESSAGE on my machine or freakin' TALK to me when I answer?!  Posers.....

I had a call from this number a few minutes ago. The caller was wanting information about my ex-husband. After I told him we were divorced and asked him what this was concerning he said that since I was not the persons wife anymore that he couldn't tell me. He proceeded to tell me that it was concerning an account that my ex-husband had created 2 years ago and I asked him how he got my phone number and he said my ex had given it to him. I have only had my number for 2 months there is no way that my ex could have given it to him. The number is unpublished and my ex doesn't know what it is. He then begged me for my ex's number. Just a little tip for those who get calls like this. If they wont tell you where they are calling from you can do a reverse number lookup on switchboard.com or simply call the number back. They have to answer with the company's name that you are calling.

got a call on two different phones in our house at the same time....hung up on us both...what is that all about?

I have been getting 8-12 calls from this number over the past four days. Nobody is ever on the other end of the line and calls back to the number go to music or get hung up on without any identification of who they are. Abocve it states this is Penncro Associates and that they are a collection agency. Who are they collecting for, they will not say - only calling to harrass. I am told that collection agencies are not covered under the DNC registry and filing a cease and desist with the company does not achieve any results either. So, blatant disregard and violation of the law seems to be the norm for these type business' But with no enforcment action of legal statute why obey the law.

Bill collectors are trying to find the guy that had my phone number last. I've asked them nice for the last 15 months to stop, and every time they promise to put me on their "do not call list" . They keep calling.  Today I called them back, about 20 times, just to see if I could make them cry. I do not know if they cried or not , but they sure got mad.  Try it!  I gotta go I'm going to call them again.

These people have been calling me for three years asking for a female...I am a male and have had this number for three years...I have called them back numerous times over the past three years asking for an address...the person on the other end would get beligerent and ask me why I needed it...I said...to send you a cease and desist letter..they would immediately hang up...until tonight...I talked to a  male who gave me this address...95 James Way suite 113 South Hampton PA 18966. If he was telling me the truth...send them a cease and desist letter..aka a drop dead letter and if they call you again ( of course send it certified)you can sue and get money! Need help with writing a drop dead letter...just google it.

We'll see. They've been calling my cell phone constantly. I don't pick up because I don't know the number and don't want to be charged. They don't grow tired of it, it's been going on for months. Since it's been getting worse, I decided to check it out.  After reading these I called them today. They identified themselves (sounded like Penn Krone Associates) and he told me the name of the person they were trying to reach. The man was very polite and said he'd make sure they took the number off the list.  We'll see.

I've been getting the same calls for the past 3years as well, even on a different 888 or 800 number and sometimes the number is blocked, so most of the time when I see who it is, if no one by that name is at my house I'll just hang up on them, they called again in like 5mins I cursed them out and hanged up, but they got another person to keep calling my house #, gar hate these a.holes.

o yeah and also watch out for those fake collection agency if your in another country, some people from india will call and pretend to be from the branch of blah blah blah and looking to collect

I keep receiving calls from 866-779-9279 on my cell phone.  When I answer it is a recording asking for someone I don't know, or they hang up.  it happen 4/`15/2010 3 times in 3 hours!  1:19 , 4:57 & 5:58 p.m.
I also have had numerous calls since Feb that I did not document and March on 3-18 11:19 a.m. 3-15 6:27 p.m. and many many morethat I deleted off my phone.

can you help stop these harrasing calls?  i tried calling the number back to ask that they stop, but only get a busy!!

I had previous had a call from some people that were going to arrest me and take my children and they wouldn't give me any information other than that I had to pay.  So after researching that situation I never call "an important business to discuss" phone call without researching the number.  So I looked this # up and sure enough it is a scam company.  I called the number and began questioning the person that answered, she said I need your information "i asked why? what does the company do? who do they work for?"  she says again I need your information I told her I was looking at a site that claims her company is a scam and why does she need any information about me and why is she calling people without having legal reasons to do so.  She says you have a nice day and hung up on me.  So funny.  These people can interrogate the hell out of someone but they can't take it back.

Please remove 310-425-4059 from the calling list.

I am on the DNC list and I still got a call from this number....they hung up on me!

PennCro Associates is a collection agency for New York and Co., Ann Taylor, Victoria's Secret, etc.

Autodialer calls for an arbitrary name (from an obituary listing)
…that part is the 'Turing Test'  - to determine if you are a live person.
Once they know humans answer this phone they continue to call asking personal questions.
the girl told my mom, who was visiting, to read just the three numbers on the back of her credit card.
later she called back and asked if any of my credit cards had this number on the back I was a winner!
And if I hurry, I could win a $100 prize… just tell her the CC number and expiration so she can credit my account. I hung up. Now when they call I hit receive on the Fax machine for a modem tone.

This "Company" does not follow FDCPA Laws at all!  People look them up and contact the Fair Trade Commission.. do this and complain and maybe we can all get them taken care of.  I have collected now for 20 years and am applaud by the stupidity of this Company!  Remember cyoa!!!
