I got a ph call from the 866-852-2187 number on my WORK PHONE number, sayin that a file came accross "Mr. Duncan"s desk, and that he needed to hear from me by 4pm CST or that a decision would be made without me.....i'm glad to know that i'm not alone and that this may be a scam...but im more worried that my WORK number is out there....

I have gotten 2 messages on my work phone.  Same story, different names.  "Mary" needs me to call "Ron Kennedy."  Annoying.

I had this happen to me, but it was with Bank of America.
I get calls on home and cell phone from John Brady, who the next time is Jack Brady. They do not state in their message who they are looking for, or where they are from.
My "debt" went from 1200 to 2200... Id love to know how this happened.
I sent them a rather blunt and to the point letter asking for  an itemized list of what I supposedly owe, how it got to twice the debt and also told them I have concerns about their agency. I have yet to receive a written response and its been almost a month.

I forgot to mention that before I found all of THIS info, I tried to negotiate 3 or 4 different payment plans with them, and they refused them all. They even demanded a payment that day. Me, being terrified of  being sued, I payed them about 700 of whatever it is they say I owe.
But, then I found this, and I have since stopped.

They do not identify themselves or the person they wish to reach! No way would I answer this or give them ANY personal info!!!

This number has called 7 times in the past 13 minutes. Not once has anyone left me a message. If its truly important dont you think they'd leave a message???
