They left a computerized message on my answering machine saying they were a debt collector. I do not have any outstanding debts in collection. They did not give the name of a company.

Whoever these people are they called my daughters cellphone and my husbands cellphone asking for me stating I had an outstanding debt.  They did not give name of company when they left message.  I have no outstanding debts(contacted the credit bureaus and had fraud alerts placed on them) and this most definately is a scam.

An unknown company with the phone number 866 855-3970 left a message regarding an attempt to collect a debt.  I do not have any outstanding debts.  Since the message was computerized and the company did not identify itself, no call was returned to them.  I believe this may be a scam.  I would like to know the name of the company and do not want to be bothered by any further calls.

We answered this number but they would not speak. No message, no anything. Our cell phones are brand new - only friends and family have our numbers.

They left several messages on my home phone.

My mother got a letter in the mail saying she owed money for receipt of medical records. The phone number 866-855-3970 is for Credit Bureau of Napa County, Inc., dba Chase Receivables. To our knowledge, she doesn't owe anyone anything and the letter we received had no information on the "invoice" except for a dollar amount they wanted her to pay, and of course how to make the payment.

You can Google the company and find them and the company they supposedly are working on behalf of (Healthport) can also be Goggled, BUT, I suspect it's all a scam; otherwise, we'd have more details of the "debt" and they wouldn't be using scare tactics. I haven't found anything else out on the USPS site, but nobody's paying anything until we know it's for real.

I also received a call from 866-855-3970 saying my huband owed a bill. They wouldn't give me details when I called the number back. I was on hold for 5 minutes before i just hung up.

they called and left a voicemail,, when i called back (after being on hold for 5 minutes) they asked my phone number and name,, i gave it then they asked for my birthday and last 4 digits of my social i gave it and thwarting lady said it didn't add up with what they had on file so i had nothing to worry about... they did however give the name of the company but it was one I've never heard of before so,, these people need to leave me alone!!

I continue to get calls from 1-866-855-3970 (Chase Receivables) stating that my son, Wade, owes money. Wade has not lived here in over 12 years. He was given the message and said that he has no outstanding debt. IS THIS A FRAUD?

Unbelievable! They said to be chase receivables   and when asked for a landline  for chase they said they wer not chase bank and would not pass me to a supervisor.       I asked to never call back. I recently openedan account with chase and there is nothing outstanding. Their name looks deceiving and thet probably want to get my sensitive info! Not cool.. i am calling chase to let them know.

I don't have an account at Chase and someone left a message from Chase Receivables with a reference number stating it was very important that I called back today.

Received a call from this people today stating they r from Chase receivables, saying I have outstanding bill from Beth Israel..not true I have insurance that covers this. Once I told them I was out of work and played their game ( very polite and calm) they hung up nicely and told me they would place this as a refusal to pay..whatever. Note to all, if a bill coleector calls you they have your social already and all ur info.. I used to do this type of work but it was a reputable company not some scam artists trying to steal ur ID from some ad u may have given too much info to from CL.

Just had same experience as all the comments above - when I returned call, just got message, and that made me google it and find this page.  I was surprised that someone above said they gave them their birthdate and last 4 of social!  Don't do that unless you know who they are!

Keep getting calls from them but when I call back, get no one.  Yes, I have some outstanding debts but I have payment arrangements for all 3 medical debts from a 2 month hospital stay last year so I am not sure whom these people are and what they want from me.

Just received a phone message to return a phone call to the above number.  When I called I was put on hold. When a representative finally came on, he asked for my phone number then proceeded to want my date of birth.  I then said what is this in reference to, and he only said to collect a personal debt.  I asked him to be more specific, he said he could not until I gave him the information he was requesting. I asked it they could mail me the info,he said they did, but I don't recall this.  I then said I would look into it.  He told me I could go to the website chasereceivables.com or chaserec.com.  I am very leery of this.

I have no outstanding debt . So I didn't call them back. I googled them to see if they are a real company and found this site saying a lot of people having same experience . Must be a scam

It's debt collection for medical bills. They're pretty nice and will likely help.

This number calls my home all the time, I work nights so I have to turn my phone off so it does not wake me up and no message is ever left. How can I stop this number from calling me?
