- Debit Scam| 1 replyThey called me and told me I had outsatnding medical bills from 2010. I told her to tell me the name of the names of the payees and invoice numbers. She told me that they were mailed to me in July, and I wrote them down. (BS) and they never heard back. I was asked for a credit card # to clear them up once and for all. That then I asked "if you're a Bank, why are you calling me for past due bills". ! I then hang up the phone.
- Caller: Chase receivables.
- BigA replies to Debit ScamIt is not Chase bank, it is Chase receivables a debt collector. Read CWG40's post as well as this:
Federal law (FDCPA) requires them to send you a letter (US MAIL ONLY) within 5 days of their first contact that contains their name, physical address, the creditor’s name, and the amount of the alleged debt. It also must contains “mini-Miranda” telling you that it is an attempt to collect a debt and that all information will be used for those purposes. The one other important thing that this letter must also have in it is that you have a right to dispute the debt within 30 days of receipt of the letter and if you do so, all collection activity must be stopped until the debt is verified.

- MichelleReceived a call at my job from this 866-855-3970 number. I immediately looked up the number on my computer while answering the call since I rarely get unidentified calls at my job. Have no idea how a debt collector if it was one would have my job number. I was asked to hold on and informed by an automated system that this is not a sales call. I put the phone on mute and held on and after about 5 min someone came on the line. I muted the call just to hear what the opening address to me would be. Sure enough they asked for me by name but with no privacy at work, I chose to hang up, especially after reviewing all the comments from this forum while I was on hold. Not sure what it was about was definitely not going to waste my time AT WORK. How dare they.

- Nstated from Chase Receivables and it was regarding a debt. I no that I have no debts so this can't be valid. Wanted me to give my DOB and address before she would give me the details. Refused and told them to send me something in writing if this is real. She said they did but I haven't received anything. Sounds like a scam!

- AdrienneGot 2 calls about me owing 130$ from when I had my son over a year ago, wanted my social security number and date of birth. When I refused to give it to them she got mad and hung up on me. When I called back and she asked for my social security number again I told her no and she hung up on me again....have not received a single bill for this amount, people must think I'm stupid to give that info out

- Xavier Francis replies to Kevin| 2 repliesI had gone to see the ENT doctor in Hartsdale NY. on September 22, 2015. I had GHI Emblem insurance, I paid the co-payment in full and my insurance was accepted by the doctor. Till now, I was never informed that I owe any money to the doctor. Today I got a threatening letter from Chase Receivables, I am going to the doctors office to find out what kind of scam is this. I need to know why google cannot stop this. Why google is being used by these scam group.
- BigA replies to Xavier FrancisI am a little confused here. You came here and replied to a 4 year old post made in 2012. You say you received a "threatening" letter from these people? What was "threatening" about it? What does Google have to do with any of this? If you had read past the first post, you would have found other informative posts with information you could have used and links to agencies that could have helped you.
- Ismellascam replies to Xavier FrancisWhat does Google have to do with this? The next doctor you should see is a psychiatrist!
- me toomissed call on my "unlisted" cell phone. no message left.
