Said they were from Chase Collectors or something, asked for my DOB and I said that I did not know what this call was in reference to and that I was not giving them any information.  

I received a call from (866) 855-3970. A woman told me that she represented Chase Receivers and that she had an invoice with my name on it for a debt that I owed. She asked for my date of birth to verify that it was me she was speaking to. I told her I would not do that unless I know which company she represented. She refused. I told her to forward the invoice to me by mail and she agreed to do so. I am still waiting for it. It seems to be a scam with a number of persons involved. As far as I know, I have no debts. Someone from Beth Israel might be involved because I received services there over the summer; but I have medical insurance and all bills have been already settled.

medical debt collector. They call with the name Chase Receivables which one would think is Chase Bank but it's not. Just ask them to send you a copy of the bill and tell them not to call anymore. That's your right.

Received a call from this number, no message left. Read through this thread and went to website someone posted. They are called Chase Receivables but there is a disclaimer at the bottom of their homepage that states that they are not affiliated with Chase Bank or J.P. Morgan Chase. They are based in CA and seem to be a collections service for a variety of business genres - auto, healthcare, credit union, utility, etc.

I have not been able to ascertain why they are calling me as of yet.

Got multiple messages filling up my answering machine, said my husband had and outstanding debt that they were trying to collect which I know if untrue.  I called the number and after half a ring it transferred to some message with another phone number to call.  Thanks other posters for confirming this is a scam.

This is not Chase Bank, they are a collection agency.

This is not Chase Auto Finance.  These debt collectors go through telephone directories and just start calling anyone and everyone with the same name, trying to net someone into thinking it is their debt.  They could care less if you are the actual debtor.  As far as they are concerned, if they are looking for a Sam Smith and someone they just called has the same name and pays, even though it is not their debt - mission accomplished in their mind.  Always, always ask for verification of a debt and know what is in your credit report.

The caller identified herself as being with "Chase collections".  She said I had an outstanding debt that had been turned over to a collection agency.  Since I know I don't have any outstanding debt in danger of going into collection I am immediately suspicious.  When she started asking me for personal info, I naturally refused, saying she was going to have to prove her identity before I'll tell her anything.  She said she'd mail me a form.  I doubt I'll ever see that form lol.

An unknown company with the phone number 866 855-3970 has called 3 times regarding an attempt to collect a debt from a Thomas Harding 3 frickin times! I've had this cell # for 5 years & have to pay by the minute for nonsense like this! Each time they say they will remove my # from their list!

just got the call   Chase Recievables      no message

I got called several times finally when i answered they wanted my DOB so i asked the lady for hers when she asked for my last four digits of my SS i asked for hers i mirrored everything she asked WHOOPIE!!!! NO MORE CALLS.

I just received a call from them today, saying I owe a bill from 2013. A doctor's bill, they couldn't give me the name of the doctor or who I owed. After I let them have it, I told them to sent me a detailed bill so I can report them to the Attorney General

Seems like a total scam. I answered my cell phone and they asked me for my birthdate. Then they told me they were chase receivables. Chase bank would never make a call like that. Ever. Never give anyone like that info over the phone.

The next time they call, let them know they are violating the TCPA by robo-dialing your cell phone without your consent and you intend to take them to court and sue them for $1,500 per violation if the calls do not stop.

An unidentified woman called and asked if I still had 'outstanding IRS debt'. I told her it was none of her business and hung up before she had a chance to make her pitch. Whatever it was, I'm not interested.
Chase Receivables may actually be a legitimate debt collection agency but that is NOT who these creeps are. Clearly they are scammers. I'm on the national 'DON'T CALL' list for a reason. I don't want these calls. Anyone who calls me that is not a friend or a family member gets what they deserve. My wrath!

I get this phone call 3 times a day.  Told them if they continue to harass me I will report this to the FCC, FTC and Attorney General.
