- Karen replies to 1-866-864-8030She just called me. I'm not calling her back.
- fed upThese people call me on a daily basis. I initially tried making payment arrangements with them but the guy hung up on me because I asked for an address in which to send my payments instead of giving him my bank info.
Several times a woman has called claiming to be my cousin from Chicago, I have no cousins in Chicago. If someone else answers the phone they want to know what relation they are to me, pressing the issue that this is an emergency. These people need to be stopped. They don't really want to settle any debt, if they did they would accept whatever method of payment you have. I think they just like harassing people. Their attitudes stink!!!- Caller: alliance am

- DootsWe have received maybe 10 or 15 calls. I never answer because my caller ID does not show a name or phone number. Every message is identical - sounds like they are reading it off a card. They ask for someone whom I have no idea who it is and wants that person to call back the 866-864-8030 number. Reading prior letters posted I guess this is a collection agency (a pretty bad one!). They definitely have a wrong number when calling us and I hesitate answering the phone to tell them that since they sound like they would be very rude and I doubt if the calls would stop. I just wish there was a way an average person could put a block on their phone to stop receiving calls from certain phone numbers. This is very annoying.
- L replies to N| 1 replyThis phone number is calling me also, stating they are from the financical crime division. Is gave the name Richard hamilton. Is he for real? Anyone got this name?
- Hi Joe NickleThe number that is calling is 630 or 1630 And They don't leave voice mail or anything... They have been calling for about 3 months and never leave messages. This is a Prepaid cell Phone.. It is for family only
- jasmyn TapiaI got to work like at 11 am and my manager tells me that this number called me and to call back, but they did'nt leave a company or individual name. She tells me that this number has called numerous of times. Please let me know how I can make them stop. - LyndaThese calls are rediculas!!! I don't know how they do business but calling 5x a day and pestering people.
Such a waste of cell phone minutes.
Just follow the automated instructions and select the option that claims you are not the person they are looking for. (even if you are.. they don't know that for sure)
I hope by doing this you don't receive calls.- Caller: No Life Company!!!!
- GaryI received a call and the person (Dan) was very abusive and went as far a to threaten me over the phone. Being a State Offical I have forwarded this recorded conversation onto the State Attorney's office for criminal proscution of Threatening a state official. I am looking forward to extraditing one of there best to our state for prosecution. Let's see if $7.25 an hour is worth the effort to violate the Federal Laws of a Collection Agency.

- Not Losing Sleep Over This OneI received a message via my ex sister-in-law, stating Jean Madsen from AAM needed me to call her ASAP at 1-866-864-8030. The message was very ambiguous and this Jean Madsen only said something about a privacy disclosure act prevented her from giving more details. I have not intention of calling back, as I am rightfully protected by the same privacy act. I too am well aware of all my creditors and they have my current and direct contact info.

- Anonymi recieved a call from my old squad leader today telling me that these people from 866-864-8030 called being rude asking him if he knew me and that i owed money and i have to call them back...well being the mean person i am b/c i sense this is FAKE, i call back talk to some girl and basically said to her "why is it that you people called a sgt in the united states military on a private phone saying that i [***] owe you money..if that was true i would've recieved a letter in the mail correct?" she responded with "i don't even know who you are what is your name?" i told her i wasn't giving her my damn name and she said to call back when i want to cooperate and said "NOOOOOOOOOT!" when people so-called want to collect on a debt you get a letter from a firm that has taking the case that's in collections...second i would like to know how they got my squad leader's number in the first place b/c the only place his number exists was on job applications under references that i've filled out ages ago....a bunch of phonies and i don't have the patience for those [***]
- perturbedI have rec'd several calls stating the line referred to here previously, "call 866-864-8030"..."full disclosure".. blah, blah, whatever. My credit is sparkling and I'm glad I've found out this is a debt collection agency, so I don't even need to be worried about it. I have no outstanding debt, haven't had any for years. I have a very common name, so these idiots probably just do random searches for debtors and dial the first number they find. Incompetent fools. That's why I never pay attention to my home phone - strictly for DSL. Anyone I actually want to hear from calls my mobile. :)

- Erik replies to Sparky| 1 replyThe law is the Fair Debet Collection Practices Act, FDCPA for short. Collectors are not allowed to call your friends except in a legitimate effort to locate you--in this case they are not allowed to reveal ANY information. They are allowed to call you at work IF you gave then them the number UNTIL you tell them not to. If you request a copy of the original debt document they have to send it to you (it should be done in writing).
When they talk to you they are required to give you a warning that goes something like this: "This is an effort to collect a debt, any information obtained will be used for that purpose." They are also supposed to inform you of the process for disputing the debt.
They are not allowed to call before 8 AM or after 9PM your time, the rules are stricter in some states, especially NC, so do a little homework.
Be polite ALWAYS.
Document ALL contact.
Send them a letter requesting verification of the debt, and send it along with the next item.
Send them a letter telling them to cease and desist, send it registered or certified mail with return receipt requested.
If you are sure that your debt is paid, contact the credit reporting agencies and have a little note put in your record that you are being harassed by a rogue collector and name them--do this before they try to make an entry in your record...if they do make an entry, dispute it with the documented information you collect aove.
Keep all records.
In the event you decide you want to go after them, report them to the FTC and your states Attorney General and/or corporation commission (states differ, call legal aid or the state bar association to find out more.) - EireanneAlexandreaThey called my cell and left a message that I should call them back, using the same spiel as listed here many times. They asked for MR so and so, since I had a male friend leave the VM greeting. They did leave the phone #, So I was able to google it. Nasty sounding bunch.
I don't think they pay too much attention to who they are supposed to be calling, and just flail around in the dark.
I read about another company like this a while back and they would go out of business periodically when they were assessed fines, then start up again using the same technique.
They seem to focus on Pay-day Loan debt. Slugs feeding off bottom feeders. This is another great reason to put PDLs out of business.- Caller: Alliance Asset Managment
- Erik replies to ErikOH, And they are only allowed to make 4 attempts to contact you a week or two actual contacts, whichever comes first. That includes calls to friends and employers, etc.
(I used to do this for a highly reputable company, and we were meticulous about following the law. All employees had to pass a test before they could call and then had to pass periodic tests to be sure we knew it. We also kept very careful records of how many attempts and contacts we made) - kkfwtI got a call from the same number on my direct line at work. The office was already closed so they left a message. They were asking for a person i've never even heard of, don't know how they got my number!? The person leaving the number didn't sound very nice. Needless to say I didn't call them back!
- D Ryan| 1 replydoes anyone ever have this # show up on their caller id as just "630"??? they keep leaving me messages, however, I've never called them back. But they do leave that blurb "a matter that concerns you, with internal ID # 1217465"
