- eyee replies to TemraWOW, they are annoying for sure. I got a call from someone at this # and I didn't help them out in any way. So an hour later some other girl calls and wanted to speak to a manager. Which of course I didn't transfer them and said they are out of the office. She would not give up on asking for the name of the manager and was so rude I had to hang up on her. She called back 3 times after I kept hanging up. The last time she called, I answered the phone saying "are you serious? I'll report you"...haven't heard from her yet....
- gary replies to when is enough enough?| 3 repliesEveryone: Yes be carefull! Do not be intimidated at all. I SAID DO NOT BE INTIMIDATED BY THESE PEOPLE AT ALL! It is how they scam! DO LIKE THE OTHER POSTER SUGGESTED-----IF YOU OWE SOMETHING LEGITIMATELY....WAIT UNTIL YOU GET SOMETHING IN THE MAIL FROM SOME ONE LIKE AN ATTORNEY GROUP OR SOMETHING. (((AND THEN HAVE THEM CHECKED OUT!!!))
ANOTHER THING--- I used to work at the phone company. Some of those toll free and 830,860 etc numbers I believe can charge you a fee so do not call them back. Check you phone bills just in case. They could (not saying they are) be raking it in even when you call them back ...and please pass this around. Let them call all the damn time. Not too much to hang up. Explain to your fellow workers you have a total scam artist on your hinder. Or your boss. Maybe it is best to face it directly with your coworkers to spare any ambarrasment you should not have to endure. Again, this is how they they work it. They are trying to embarrass you but dont let them ..if every one of us get this out and refuse to give them a dime. ...the calls will stop. Also, maybe someone should try catching these folks. Even if you owe money, you do not have to deal with them unless they decide not break the law like they consistantly do. - cariei keep getting calls from a 630 number, finally i anwsered it because it just became to annoying to ignore. On the othe end was a VERY RUDE man calling himself Dan demanding I give him a check by phone. When i told him i thought he had the wrong person on the line he said "listen lady i am gonna tell you how this works now shut up ands listen". I have never heard such rude behavior before. I hung up and have been getting calls ever since and today they just left a call back number of 1-866-864-8030 saying that i needed to call them back and for privacey reasons they can not disclose what the call is regarding. Needless to say i won't be calling them back anytime soon. Oh and by the way they did ask me for my work number but i was not dumb enough to give it to them when i asked them to send me something in writitng stating where they were calling from and what there purpose was they just hang up. BAD BAD people.

- 14all4 replies to gary| 2 repliesRule of thumb if they can't send any tangible evidence (something you can hold in your hand a statement) in the mail so that you can mail a payment then they are scamming. Report them to the BBB and local authorites.
All i have to say is tehy called the wrong person today i am tired of people trying to take advantage of others. Know your rights and know that it is illigal for collection agencies to harrass you. Illegal i say - Intelligence Reigns replies to 14all4| 1 replySo when I called this - let's call him oh I don't know??? "The angry stumbler" I can't stand when people try to push it so I push it back. Which really aggitated him.. It was great. When I explained to him my situation..Ok at least tried before I was cut off and he asked me If I was going to pay it off now, I said no I don't know when exactly or how much exactly but I wanted to take care of it. He told me to put down the phone and get a calendar. I said what so I can tell you when you will get your money.. Didn't we already go over this? I don't know exactly. In turn he raised his voice told me to stop being rude and said if you want to pay 3X's your bill that is not my problem I can't beleive you don't know. I said aren't you a funny man .... More anger came telling me that he didn't have to put up with my harrassment and I said I was only calling for your address. I finally got it out of him bursting with anger he said FYI- 330 Georgetown Square, Suite 104, Wood Dale, Illinois, 60191 and hung up on me.. Shouldn't I be the one to hang up on them. OK so it gets better.. Following within 5 minutes I called another unknown to my phone- 630-760-1110. IT'S THE SAME PEOPLE!!! I thought it was the same man so I said I think I just talked to you and we had an issue about our phone conversation. I asked him if maybe there was another account I owed on and this man said before I go on I need to make you aware this phone call may be recorded. OK that is what they all say. He pulled up my account and said you spoke to one of my associates and he put your account down as refusal to pay. HUH???? I told him how udderly rude and demeaning the last guy I talk to was. he said that was not his concern and the phone call again may be being recorded but for legal reasons. I said so was the last one when I talked to you ASSOCIATE. And then I got I already told you only some of them are and I don't control that. I said of course they are and told him what a hellified piece of S^%$ that his company was and I hung up as he was still talking.

- fed up replies to M| 1 replyI had a bill that was paid in full and sent to Asset Management by mistake. I called to tell them and they told me flat out "who cares". I then had the original creditor call them and they refused to close my account. I then had the billing dept. of the original creditor call them and they still refused to close the account and continued harassing me.

- Chauncy replies to LThere is no such thing as a financial crime devision or debters prison in the US. Unless you commit Tax Evasion. This is a collection agency that some Pay Day Loans use. Ignore it. There is nothing they can do. They have to be in your state and hire someone in your county to pursuit any legal action anyway. Send them a Cease Communications Certified return receipt requested, fax it to them and copy it to your local state attorney general. It is Completely illegal to portray being law enforcement when your not. You will be fine.
- Chauncy replies to fed upTurn them in to your local state attorney general and file a complaint. Dispute it through your credit reporting agencies with your proof. NEVER dispute a paid bill that a collection agency is trying to collect on. Let the credit reporting agencies do it... it's free. The reporting agencies will send a letter of validation and find out if they are even licenced to collect in your state. The collection agency will have 30 days to respond to the dispute with all of the validation info (in which they won't have) The credit reporting agencies will remove it. Remember to dispute through all 3 agencies. Equifax, Experion, and Trans Union even though they will say that they will report to the others. They often don't communicate with each other.
- chauncy replies to FRUSTRATEDDON'T CALL THEM. The will have you on recording and anything you may say that insinuates that you owe the debt NOW will be your debt. What they are trying to do is validate the debt by making you admit to it through intimidation tactics. Most states have statute of limitations of 5 yrs for debt collections and if you can wait, dispute it through the Credit Reporting Agencies Equifax, Experion, and Trans Union. I mentioned this in another entry you will find on this page. Remember, DO NOT CALL THEM... DO NOT TALK TO THEM. The person who said if it is yours they would have taken legal action by now and they have to hire someone in your county in order for it to go to court. Whatch your mail box instead!!!
- jamieThey say that they are calling in regards to a transaction that has been put on their desk concerning me. They gave a validation code to enter when I call them back. They do not state who they are calling from.

- LReceived a call on my work line from 866-864-8030. Some woman, SHERRI HERNANDEZ, left a voicemail, had my name correct and said she has an "urgent" matter to discuss with me. "Full disclosure of the issue will be discussed when I call...". Also, I could hear alot of people talking in the background. I have no idea who this is, nor do I have any intention of returning the call.
- 1598515This company is the lowest of the low. They call and harass me at work and not just me but the people I work with.
They are so nasty and I am waiting to get something in writing! I refuse to accept any responsibility for something I don't have proof of.
Watch out for them.- Caller: Alliance Asset Management Inc.

- Blahblahblah replies to TemraI got a call from these people just now, asking about an employee that use to work for me, saying that i was put down as a contact/reference for him.
I asked who they were, and they said they were AAM from Chicago, they acted like it was a job reference thing, then i asked more questions and got them to tell me this was NOT a job related reference, but a personal matter, and said Due to Federal Law, they can not say anything more.
I got their name ( Julie) and phone number (866-864-8030), and told them I would have my ex-employee call them.
must be bill collectors, i googled their name and got nothing, but googled thier number and get lots of hits.
Hope they dont call back, im gonna tell them to goFuckThemSelves and not call back . - CHICAThe FTC Fair Debt Collection rules state:
Debt collectors may not harass, oppress, or abuse the debtor or any third parties they contact, that includes employers and their representatives.
This company called and asked for one of our employees by their first name and I asked for the last name, this guy proceeded to insult me and say I had an attitude, because I asked for the guy's last name, he just wanted to be hateful to someone because he feels safe since I didn't know who he was. I hung up on him he called back and demanded to speak with my supervisor and I told him "No", this is our phone and you called it and I know the rules that collection agencies have to abide by. I said I wanted to talk to his supervisor and he handed the phone off to some gal who immediately asked for my supervisor, I said, are you his supervisor and she said no and asked me for my name, I said what are your names, she said she would be calling back to speak with my supervisor and I said fine I'm reporting you to our Personnel dept and hung up on her. Personnel wrote the rule book at our company. No debt collectors are to get through, we don't transfer them and we don't take a message from them period.- Call type: Debt collector
