And yes I owed money for something that a cable company refuses to reverse the carges on. They cut me off, I stoped paying my bill, they claim they never cut me off and I owe them money. Forget it! You will never get that money from me you scammers.- Caller: CCA
- Call type: Debt collector
- Catherine replies to CCAIt stuns me that a "legitimate" company cannot even spell... I am sure that you are intending on spelling "we're" not where... there's a difference... you should probably learn how to spell if you expect ANYONE to take your company seriously...
- Catherine replies to .......If YOUR company cannot even provide the name of the company that I "owe", or the amount that I "owe" or a reference # with the approx. date that my "file" went to collections than how can I confirm that your company is legitimate and how the HELL do you expect ANYONE who is not completely stupid to pay you? Your employees are the most ignorant, useless, impatient and illiterate group of individuals that I have EVER had to deal with before... you cannot even provide WRITTEN confirmation that once I pay my "debt", it would be paid in full... NEWS FLASH!!!!!!!!!! Any credit company is required to provide the client with written confirmation that payment has been received.... Get your act together... and PS... I do not have a SINGLE bill outstanding so until you have PROOF that I "owe" someone and can provide me with a file # or written confirmation... go FFFFFFFFFF yourself (Your message below CLEARLY indicates your work ethic...)
- Catherine replies to j| 2 repliesSeeeeeee.... that is EXACTLY what I mean.... they cannot provide ANY proof or written documentation... so BE CAREFUL... I almost put my money RIGHT into their "bosse's" account!!!! And I didnt even owe ANYTHING to ANYONE... they scared me by saying that I have 1 HOUR to get the money into their account or they are taking me to court and I would have to pay all of the lawyer fees... it has now been over a year and I have never heard from them again...
I have already reported them to the RCMP... - MartinThese guys are scammers! Be careful. Don't give them your new address! You likely just moved; somehow CCA knows this and try to steal money from you.
Ask for the Bell Mobility Account number. Ignore their Mxxxx 'reference number', it is bogus. Call Bell Mobility at 800.667.0123 and verify that you do not owe money. Then report to the Bell representative that CCA is using Bell Mobility's name to steal. Speak to a supervisor if you can. Let's shut down CCA.- Caller: Commercial Credit Adjusters

- Jeremy| 1 replyCouple things to note:
1) there are programs / devices that can change the # of the person calling to make it appear like it is someone else calling... some of these sound like it could be a scam (not CCA calling).
2) if they provide weird or bogus information, contact the company that they are working on behalf of direct
3) even after collections start, you can mail your payment to the company originally seeking money (they then update the account to the collections agency), in the event you don't want to pay the collection agency direct - remember to keep all your records!!!
If you owe money, call them and tell them what's going on.. Usually they can make arrangements for payment or help fight it for you.
Love all the 'it's a scam' comments, because really it is not.
As for the people who get calls looking for people you know, are neighbours with, etc... Think of it like this: CANADA REVENUE AGENCY (a government organization) does the same thing when trying to locate people. It's one of those things that has just come about - live with it.
If you don't want the calls to continue, then answer it and talk to them. Quit complaining.- Caller: CCA

- LisaI just called them back and there was no one there by the name "Niko" which is what was left on my answering machine, so I'm confused, I hope I didn't just put myself on their calling list.
And I agree, I would not give personal information to a company that can't spell, wish I would have googled the number before I called them back.- Caller: CCA
- Ashley| 1 replyThis is legit, they are called Commercial Credit Adjusters, they called in regards to my outstanding balance with Shaw. They guy I spoke with Brad was one of the nicer creditors I've spoken to.

FYI Everyone - these people are not " nice " - Wow replies to fedup| 1 replyIt's not a scam, you idiot - you have to realize they get files for collection that are sometimes years old, with outdated info.
- Wow replies to Catherine| 1 replyYeah, good luck with that, moron...
Just pay your bloody bills, and this wouldn't be an issue, would it? - Wow replies to mary| 3 repliesThen go down to their office - they employ almost 100 people, and take up an entire floor of a large office building. Pretty elaborate for a "scam", right?
Tool... - Jods replies to WowYou would be surprised what people do for money and Im sure your the same!
- ha ha replies to Wowyou are right WOW will ruin your life or die trying...what an idiot (shakes head)
- Bruce| 1 replyListen this is a Scam, I am an officer of the law , Report these calls to your local RCMP these people are always comming up with new and inovative ways to fraud or scam people. The only way to stop them is to report thier Harassing and threatening calls as such, that said, enough calls will do it!
- not for spam replies to aybc120 days my @ss !
Despite repeated attempts and instructions for them to cease and desist they just keep calling and it has got to the stage that I am getting VERY angry with whoever it is on the other end !
Fielded so many calls from these @ssholes it is also starting to affect the way I even answer the phone and I suspect is upsetting me in ways i did not know these sorts of D1CKS could ! - winter12 replies to CCAThat would be we're - for "we are" NOT where ! If you're "legit" learn how to spell.
- Rick replies to BruceWhat's your badge number office of the law? You clearly do not understand the collections act or the terms that harassment are listed under the criminal code of Canada.
- AngelaI am in debt, and I know it. I went to school for a semester and wasn't able to get a student loan, I ended up dropping out because students loans were being a pain in the ass. Now I'm paying the university back. I've been paying between $300 and $500 a month. About 3 months ago I got a call from CCA, saying that if I didn't pay up they were going to take me to court. I told them that I HAVE been paying it off, but they said they didn't have a reccord of that, and that they've been looking for me for the past year. They were very rude and said that purposly hiding from collection agencies is a crime and they can fine me for it. But really, I just moved cities, I wasn't even aware a collection agencey was after me. So anyways, I told them that I didn't have the money, but could I pay them $500 dollars right then and get the remaining $1600 as soon as possible. I set up a transaction, and the person I was talking with said she'd call me back in a couple of weeks. Now, its 3 months later and I haven't heard anything. I have the money, but I'm afraid its was a scam. Especially since, I was so terrified when I got the call I just believed every word she said.

- JamesThese guys are not a scam, there are some really nice collectors and not all of them are rude. If you get someone who is rude just nicely state that you would like to speak to another CCA rep, or even ask to speak to a unit manager. I must agree some of the collectors are a bunch of [***], but you can find a collector who will better suit your needs.
