Caller claimed to be IRS agent saying I had cheated on my taxes

Said fraud on taxes call back immediately, Couldn't even program the computer to speak proper English. LOL

Automated computer voice saying that I need to call this number immediately. Seems like scam-a-nese.

Got a call from 866-978-6618. They left an automated and computerized voice message saying an urgent matter with the IRS and I need to call them back. Knowing it was a scam, I called back. Took a couple tries. Called once and they picked up but said nothing. Another time said hello and never said anything after. Finally got a guy to talk. He stated he was officer Logan Williams (had an Indian accent). Sounded loud in the background. He gave me his badge number, case number and arrest warrant number and told me I owed 4K in taxes to the US Government. I then lied and said "But I'm Canadian" (I'm not) and he got tripped up, said he has to check his records and call me back. Then hung up.

He did know my full name, so it wasn't just a random call. So just be careful everyone!

SCAM for sure.

Received a call from this number with a very computerized voice saying he was an officer with the security division of the IRS and that they knew I was hiding something from the government. SCAM!

Revived a call from this number claiming tax issues when I called back man with heavy accent said the police were coming to arrest me then hung up

This number keeps calling me and telling me I am defrauding the federal government and hiding information. This is a scam!!

Same.  Heavy Indian accent claiming to be IRS.  Scam AND scum

I received the precise recording that was reported in an earlier posting.  That poster had it word for word.  It was listed as Anonymous on my visual voice mail.  My dad is a CPA so I doubted the veracity, but tried to call to get a better feel for what was happening.  We are camping, however, so my call did not go thru.  But luckily enough my data worked and I looked up the number and found this thread.

This is a classic "IRS Debt Collection" Scam Call - do not call them back. The real IRS will NEVER contact you by phone.

Yes.
I gave a link to a site with lots of reporting suggestions in an earlier post in this thread.

Message stated that they are calling from the Federal government and that a situation needs to be "rectify" immediately.

Recorded message. Says that I am hiding something from IRS. I should call them back.

The caller, with a very thick accent, said that I owe the federal government money for tax fraud. He would not give me any information, but insisted there was a warrant for my arrest. He claimed I had to immediately pay $3900. I refused to pay $3900 to this phone call and said I would get a lawyer.

I think it's a scam. I got the same call asking me for $3900.
