Since this is the most highly publicized scam in America today, one that people have still managed to lose millions of dollars by falling for it, what difference would it matter what the "officers" name is.  He isn't an officer and they all make up names.  They particularly like to use names of old TV and movie stars such as Steve Martin.

Claiming to be from IRS

I got a call today. This is a scam. They claim to be real. I would of called after I figured much it was a scam then it came to me and I realized it's simply not worth the time and energy. Threatening them wouldn't solve anything. putting my story here would help much more. :)

Scammers. Strong accent in english

Got a call from a robotic [***] voice saying the IRS needs to confirm a payment with me or something that I didn't pay I wish I could track the son of a [***] down to go cut his balls off I'm tired of these calls you need to do something about this and get rid of the son of a [***] once and for all I want to find out who the son of a [***] is it hanging by his nut sack upside down over a fire you let me know and I'll do it

Scammers stating from the IRS. They are using several different numbers from 206 area codes and now texting as well

Same call with same message. These scammers belong in prison. Dirty low life scammers trying to scare people who believe them and steal their money.

I just received this too. Same message from 2 different numbers. 866-978-6618 and 206-965-8292. Thanks everyone for reporting this so I could research.
