- IG Guy replies to to b-n-wWithin five days after you are first contacted, collectors must send a written notice telling you the amount of money you owe, the name of the creditor to whom you owe the money, and what action to take if you believe you do not owe the money. If you believe the company contacted you in error, you must write to them within 30 days after the initial contact; upon receipt of your letter, the company must cease collection activities. However, if the company can provide proof of the debt such as a copy of a bill for the amount owed, the company may renew collection proceedings.

Educate your self. - IG Guy replies to GarySend them a Cease and Disist letter, if they continue to call take em to court
- IG Guy replies to B-N-W| 2 repliesAdvise your sister to get them to mail her all the paper work. Not emailed or faxed, but sent certifed mail. They will not send it to her. At that point she can send them a Cease and Disist letter, TRI can contact her once after that to confirm there will be no more contact. If there is contact beyond that, your sister has full right to take them to court. No if by chance they actually decide to send her the paper work, she then can take it her Attorney.

http://www.bendover.com/adiosbottomfeeder.asp - BB replies to Bryan| 4 repliesThese people are calling my Dad who doesn't even live in the same state as me, so I don't know how they got his phone number. They told him I was in breach of a contract, I have no idea what these people are talking about. This is scary that they can find my family member's phone number.
- AnnieDM5154| 1 replyI got a call from a Miss Silver who said she was signing off on an affidavit but wanted to give me a chance to pay a bill owed before it is sent to my county clerk for collection in court. She said the process is I would get served papers to appear in court. The company I owed was a scam and never should have borroed money from them but nevertheless I do owe it. However, I said I was out of work and wanted to make a payment arrangement. She said she could not do that. The company on my caller ID was Tri-Financial. The amount she gave me was doubled what I owed the paycheck company. Now I am thinking this is some sort of a scam. I called the company I owed the money but they said they do not have the debt any more. How do I pay them back and only what is owed to them. Is this Miss Silver threatening me illegally also?

- adnjk replies to IG Guywhy would anyone listen to you IG guy? you're probably more in debt than anyone else here. you obviously think you know the ways to get out of paying bills... that's all that seems to come out of you on here. that's quite pathetic. say what you will.. but you're a debtor. quit trying to get out of your responsibilities and act like an adult.. assuming you can do that. i dont owe money.. i just find it amusing that people try to complain about someone that tells them they owe money. it's sad.. on all accounts. every side of it is ridiculous. collectors complain about debtors just as much as you do about collectors.
pay what you owe- ROMANS 13- 13:5 therefore you need to be in subjection, not only because of the wrath, but also for conscience' sake. 13:6 for this reason, you also pay taxes, for they are ministers of god's service, attending continually on this very thing. 13:7 give therefore to everyone what you owe. 13:8 owe no one anything. - sam goody replies to AnnieDM5154you owe the dbt if you would of paid it back to the company you owed it to you then would have been able to pay original amount but you waited so long they had to sell your account to just get change on every dollar you rapped out of them by the way great job with your part of screwing this economy farther in dbt
- Legal Eagle| 2 repliesDon't be afraid! If you owe anyone any money you should know. Don't let these clowns scare you into paying something that you do not owe. Also, do not give any information over the phone. They are probably using some automatic dialing technology and contacting people at random. Anyone can acquire your social security number so don't be alarmed when they have certain information about you. Go to www.freecreditreport.com and review your credit report first and foremost. Do not let these individuals scare you into giving out any personal information. Disregard them! Actually, since it is an 877 number and the call is free pass the number out to all of your friends and tell them to call the number and when someone answers hang up on them.

- YOUR A JOKE replies to Legal EagleLegal Eagle ...If you knew so much you would know that payday loans do not require a credit check, they are not placed on the credit report unless they become a judgement.my suggestion is that you offer them a settlement and get it in writing so they cannot renig on it.

- R TuckerThe person they are trying to reach does not have this number anymore and I have called this company several times to take me off their list, but after several attempts, I keep receiving calls. The last time I talked to a Mr. Lewandowski and he hung up on me twice. I then called back and talked to a manager by the name of Mr. Rodriguez, who assured me they would take me off the list. How do I get rid of this company that is using up my minutes on my cell phone?

- ishCaller left message that this was the last time they were going to call me about "this matter" on his desk since I haven't responded. It seemed funny to me since this is the 1st time I received a call from this number! Very intimidating male said call him back immediately!! I did some research and found info on the company. I obviously won't be returning the call and have reported this number to the FTC and Attorney General.

- G replies to I am from NT| 2 repliesMy mother, who is a senior, inadvertently gave them her social security over the phone! They claim to be Wells Fargo Bank. Sounds like a scam. Now I have to cancel all of her credit cards immediately. I'm calling the FCC and Wells Fargo tomorrow.
- Pittsburgh| 3 repliesThese idiots are now calling our home phone. We don't owe anything. At first I just reported them to the Federal Do Not Call list because we have a DNC on our line. That hasn't stopped them. They call repeatedly leaving threatening voicemail that we have to keep deleting. I thank those of you who created this log so I could google their number and find out what is going on. Next stop the local/state/federal authorities. For some reason, call block does not seem to work on their number.
