What is thier scam? What do they do with you calling them? They do not just send fax to waste papper. So anyone what is the scam?

We keep receiving faxes from Mergers and Acquisitions Dept. From the desk of Steven Saltzman.  The phone number to reach him 403-441-6802.
I did believe it was a scam so I was just doing an investigation on the internet and found out that this name does appear a lots of places... !!

I've talked with Darren Barnes Managing Director and Steven S. West AKA Steven Watstein is the sole owner of all these businesses- which apparently is one small one with many names. He cons the people that work for him destroying their characters often with-holding wages from employees, that is what court docket information online shows and other websites. Many business owners losing money and receive nothing. He was or is the owner of a company called Who's Who and was a government informant after he conned, 40 fbi agents with that business. He wrote a couple of fake books info he took from other books, living forever or to be 100, something about hypnosis, and another- living rich on other peoples money. I forget the exact titles I read. It may be a front or cover to something more sinistar even political. He is a felon. Or possibly just a really nice guy that everyone just misunderstands. Research him. I hang up the phone! Don't give them the time of day!

Many of them are scammed in the process. You most likely are a lying employee possibly put on post to watch these online posts to mislead people. Thieves.

They just milk you out of a retainer and than go on to the next co.  There is a co. in mizner that does the samething.

seemed fishy so I looked into it first.... good thing I didn't give it to the CEO... i'm just a temp receptionist too. would've made a real ass out of myself.
wtf is wrong with these people, and what can we do to make them stop. super annoyed. at least we get our faxes electronically so we're not wasting paper and ink on these idiots. do they consider the fact that if these faxes are sent to a more company public machine that it can cause quite a stir? the employees will think that the CEO is considering selling the company and they willl worry about losing their jobs??

Just receive a fax from NY Private Equity, Peter Livingston, Chairman.  We are in fact true investment bankers and I highly doubt that they have two buyers for my business -  Just another Scam

I used to work for West Investment Banking........just was checking to see if Steven West was still running this scam...I will say he did sell One (1) company while I was there, He got $1,000,000 (One Million $) commission. The day of the closing I stayed at the office 3 extra hours to type out paperwork to threaten the company as they did not want to pay him the million - they wanted to only pay 1/2 million. HE DID get the full agreed upon amount though!!!!!!!! His trick is if you are interested he will send one of his VP's to check out your company, you pay for all expenses, travel, food lodging, etc. PLUS a nice fee and the West companies  then will try to find a buyer for your company. He only sold that one company during the one year I worked for him! PS He gave his salesman $100,000 commission. You'd be surpeised how many companies sign up for a minimum $2,000 fee.
