Toronto Equity Advisors, Ian O'Brian, senior Vice president, 613-236-4790.  Same line of bs and my company name does not describe what type of business we are and we aren't found on the internet!

10 to 15 years ago there was a company called Geneva running a similar scam but vastly more sophisticated.  They sent mailing inviting companies to a free seminar on selling their business.  The seminars were very good and sophisticated and they were successful in pursuading succers to pay for an appraisal and sell their business.  $35,000 up front and then if you didn't spring for that they would soon offer a specials at succesively lower prices.  They conned enough people that they ended up with a class action suit and lost the case having to refund a portion of the money.  Of course the class action lawyers received the vast majority of the settlement funds.

We've been receiving these for the past few months.  We have a new person as VP  now I have Sarah Weiland.  This is just a waste of paper going through my fax machine.

Received a fax from Wall Street North. Mr. Ryan Tanner was discussing our company this morning. Funny thing is the number he wants me to call is a cell phone and no physical address is on the fax. No "real" company sends out faxes without a physical address. SCAMMER

Faxes keep coming from Wall Stree North. Sarah Weiland.  Figured it was a scam this website just verifies what I was feeling.  Than-you all!

I got one of these faxes today too. If someone had a real offer to buy my company for "millions of dollars", I'm sure the could pick up the phone and call me. This is clearly a scam.

This is a scam.

Complete scam. Wall Street North (Mergers & Acquisitions). We have been receiving faxes at our place of business for the better part of a year telling us our company is worth millions and that they {Wall Street North} don't understand why we wouldn't want to sell our company. Upon calling the 'to be removed from this fax list' number on the bottom of the fax I got a recording saying the number has been disconnected. I called this number; Toronto Equity Advisors - Ian O'Brian SVP - 613-236-4790, that was listed in a previous post. The woman who answered said, "hello, executive offices"...Upon asking for Ian O'Brian the woman became flustered and apologized for our number being on the fax list and that they would have it removed immediately. May these people burn in hell and have their ashes pissed on.

Well, they must have brought in some new blood after all the firings, because Sarah Weiland has been faxing us. With all of these VPs, they seem to have a bloated bureacracy to rival our state and federal governments.

On December 28, 2010 my company received a fax with Wall Street North Mergers & Acquisitions as the letterhead but no company address.  The letter was addressed to my boss.  In the letter it says to contact Sarah Weiland Vice President at 514-849-3883.  At the bottom of the letter is a statement that says "To be removed from this fax list please call 877-342-4169".  I called the 877 number, was prompted to enter my fax number and was told by the automated system that my fax number would be removed immediately.  On January 5, 2011 the same fax with the same letterhead and contact number came through.  Again, I called the 877 number and was told by the automated system that my fax number would be removed immediately.  I also called the 514-849-3883 number.  A gentleman answered "Good Morning".  I asked for Sarah Weiland.  He did not say anything to me but an automated message came on saying "call automatically disconnecting".

Received fax from "Wall Street North" interested in sale of all or part of our company. Very similar to Toronto Equity Advisors solicitations.

Received a fax with that number as a removal number. The fax came from Wall Street North, sent by Peter
Thompson with a return phone number in Montreal area (514) 849-3883.

Unsolicited fax received from Wall Street North Mergers & Acquisitions, Ian O'Brian (Vice President), asking us to call them back on 613-236-4790. This is about the 10th time we've received this fax about someone wanting to buy the business, and they keep asking why we "don't at least call and find out who the buyer is". I especially like the ending: "P.S. Haven't heard from you yet, <insert name>".  Well, duh!

Got the fax from Ian O'Brian today... I faxed him back that He wasn't going to hear from me and he should go check out 800notes.com re: his company.....  Maybe if they see that people are on to them, they will go away....  (in my perfect world, huh?)

Please take me off this fax list. Do not scam me anymore. You're wasting our paper.

Received yet another fax today from Toronto Equity Advisors with an address on the letterhead of Toronto, Ontario with a Toronto postal code (no actual address), but their number is a 613 area code!  I called the number just to be a smart [***] and ask why they have this area code if the company is located in Toronto.  The receptionist (who had an American accent) didn't even answer the phone saying the company name (or if she did I couldn't understand it), she mumbled something and when I asked to repeat the name all she said was it's an executive company.  As for the area code issue, she didn't even answer, all she asked for was the name of who I wanted to speak to.  When I gave her the name of who signed the fax (Ian O'Brien), she said he is out of the office for the next 2 weeks but she can take my name and number and have him return my call.  I told her I would call back and hung up.  I should've asked her how he just sent me a fax if he is apparently out of the office, but I wasn't thinking quick enough.  Oh well, maybe I'll try back in 2 weeks when he is supposedly going to be back and see what fish story I get told then! lol

Constant faxes daily costing companies millions of dollars across the board for receiving and printing of these faxes.  Can't someone stop them?
