I have also received a call from this attorney's office with T-Mobile and in the beginning I told them once T-Mobile pay AT&T for me coming over to their plan I will pay them I filled out all the paperwork that was necessary for them to buy out my contract with AT&T and they never paid it so they actually broke their contract to me
One State honor the contract to me an AT&T I will honor my contract with them but at this time I don't feel like I owe them nothing and I've asked for them to stop calling plus block their number but the robo message is always allowed to leave a message don't know how to get rid of it. I guess maybe my next step will to be hire an attorney against that attorney and T-Mobile

Since last September I am also receiving calls and a few voice messages from debt collector Robert Maury (or Morris) Cobb.  I am totally convinced that is a great scam.  My credit hx is completely clean so, I am calling my area non-emergency number and the BBB covering my area because the idiots must be exposed.  We'll share the results.

"Maury attorneys law thing"  That is the name on the letter?  It would be a lot more helpful to both you and others is you accurately posted the information including the address.  In the meantime, that letter should have contained this:

Federal law (FDCPA) requires them to send you a letter (US MAIL ONLY) postmarked within 5 days of their first contact that contains their name, physical address, the creditor’s name, and the amount of the alleged debt. It also must contains “mini-Miranda” telling you that it is an attempt to collect a debt and that all information will be used for those purposes.  The one other important thing that this letter must also have in it is that you have a right to dispute the debt within 30 days of receipt of the letter and if you do so, all collection activity must be stopped until the debt is verified.

Regardless you should immediately do this:

You will need to send them a certified, return receipt debt validation (by law they have to go back to the original creditor to prove you owe the debt) (this will be the best money that you have ever invested).  Also send it first class mail in case no one will sign for it.  Make a notation of that fact at the bottom of the letter.  You also need to report them to the proper agencies to which I have provided links to.  Then you need to go out and get a consumer lawyer to sue them on a contingency basis (no money out of your pocket) and let them pay you for the harassment.  If everyone did these three things, these crooks would be bankrupt and we would all be the richer for it.  Use these web sites to find an attorney in your state that will probably take the case on a contingency basis (no money out of your pocket up front):  http://www.consumeradvocates.org/
    http://www.consumeradvocates.org/find-an-atto ... tates_value=All

First, you should make a complaint at this Federal Agency, and while there you should also read up on how debt collection is supposed to work as well as what your rights in this matter are: https://www.consumerfinance.gov/

Also file a complaint with your State Attorney General's office.

OK, looks like this crook has a habit of breaking the law.  He has tons and tons of lawsuits against him.  Here is what I found.  You can use the information that I have already posted, add this information to it and take it to a lawyer to sue him.  At the end of this report, I have posted a link where you can make a formal complaint and possibly get him disbarred as well.

MAURY COBB, ATTORNEY AT LAW, LLC.

It is incumbent upon them under the law to prove that the debt exists and that you owe it, and (this is the important part) that they have the legal right to collect it.  You are not obligated under the law to prove that you don’t owe or that it is paid.

Murray Cobb left a message saying they are a debt collector didn't say who they wanted to collect from. They called from 303 731 4639. They didn't call my main number. I've never had tmobile but someone who used the number did. If they are a legitimate bill collector shouldn't they say who they are looking for?

Got a call from 512-640-8349, left voicemail about a debt collection and an 877-369-3667 number to call. Instead I called the 512 number, got a sleepy person whose "system had just went down". Clearly they had my caller ID, when they asked me for info I did not give my name but said "you all called this number and left me voicemail to call back?" They were seeking a Maria Martinez at this number; I do get a lot of calls for her since I just got this number in the spring as a new cell. I told them that and they very nicely said they'd remove me from their calling list

Maury Cobb is doing “Spoofing” from other numbers. This is very illegal and shows a great deal about his character as a law firm. I’m reporting them. They have a bad reputation with the BBB and other law agencies. If they do the same with you I suggest you report them also.
