- Ernest JacksonUnknown number calls all times of day and night any ideas who this number belong to
- Anger becomes meThis number calls about 6 to 8 times a day, never leave a message and if no message is not lift I do not return call. I have no credit cards that are pass due, have one company paying amount due each month but they want more and and charging very high intense rate for late payment which I can show amount due is bringing paid. I have no clue because they will not leave message, have number blocked and still about to call.

- spamblockerAfter the mortgage/economic meltdown in 2008, my credit card interest rate jumped DRAMATICALLY to 36%, though I hadn't been late on any payments! I fought them for months until I finally decided to stop fighting and STOP PAYING!
Also found out that if you fight one bank, you are automatically at war with ALL banks, as they try their very best to keep everyone overly concerned and worried about their "credit score". TOTAL B.S.!!
So I decided to NEVER pay another dime to ANY bank !! I completely walked away from their ridiculous paradigm and now live as much as possible on a cash basis. If I don't have the money, I don't buy it, including vehicles. Truly a more honest, safe and noble way to live your life! Though avoiding the debt collectors does require much more creativity (which is a GOOD thing!) as well as a crash course on learning how to avoid their harassing phone calls and occasional process servers.
Bankers and the entire debt/ usury system are EVIL(!), but FREEDOM is easily within your reach if you apply yourself and shift your attitudes !!- Call type: Debt collector

- KARMAI have been receiving upwards to (5) calls per day from this number. I've also linked various other number's that call me repeatedly to these people. Years ago, I had a credit card through Merrick Bank (Hooters) one of the WORST you can get. I decided to cut up my credit cards and go straight cash and bank card only. Money was tight then, so I asked for a settlement on my $1300 balance and they agreed. I made the required settlement payments for about (2) years. My financial situation improved, so I called them and asked for a payoff balance. A very rude woman told me that because I'd missed two payments from the settlement agreement, the balance had reverted back to the original amount. I NEVER missed a payment (they were taken out of my checking acct. ACH). I told her there was no way I was going back to the original balance after making payments for 2 years on a settlement. She said they would sue me. I told her to go for it! I closed the account where they were taking out monthly payments, and I stopped paying them. I did send a letter to them requesting the pay off from the settlement offer so I'd have something in writing. They have never replied or sued me, but they call me non-stop every day and have been doing this for years. It's been (5) years since I've made a payment to them. - Yousir replies to A Dude| 1 replyYou seem to be the moron. What you are saying is incorrect.
- Tom replies to YousirWhether or not the poster is a moron, it is now 'politically incorrect' to speak of anyone with a mental disability as such, speak or write any words defaming any religion, nationality, sexuality, gender, color of skin, or write or speak any words which would potentially conceived as demeaning to these, or other groups. even if the statement is TOTALLY TRUTHFUL.
- Trish replies to richard| 1 replyThat is untrue. SOL for NY is 6 years. After the 6 years of no contact they cannot sue you for the debt but they have every "slummy right" to try and collect.
- Mr. BowlesContinuously call me throughout the day, they don't say anything when answered

- Clean replies to Correction| 3 repliesMy Bankrupcy lawyer told me 7 years from the date of the original report. They can report all day every day but once it's 7 year you can wave it goodbye! So many people get tricked and so damn gullible! Read a law book....
- Hulk replies to CP LawyerThen why is "debt older then 7 years" an option when you submit a dispute on your credit report, duh

- Jessica H replies to ?Under TCPA you must give explicit consent, not simply signing a contract in which it states they can call you. The consumer must give verbal consent for their cellphones to be contacted by autodialer.
- Michelle replies to Clean| 2 repliesCan they start over every time original debt goes to new collection agency?
