- Jen replies to PISSED OFF in OH| 2 repliesThe Number is a working number now, they said they are a company dealing with thereturns as they are "investigating" this BBU company. I doubt that seriously that they are on our side. It was completely the wrong address on this fraudulent check and my bank of 10 years had cleared it. Of course it is the weekend and what can be done right now, but I fear they have my account to charge up to their leisure. I am wondering if anyone has been refunded the money DBA promised in 3-5 business days?? I have no clue how they got my account or why the bank would clear it the way the check looks is rediculous! Very frustrated!!
- GeorgeI found the $29.95 withdrawal from my account today also. It has my correct routing # and account # my name on it with the wrong address. Of course my bank is closed today and I cannot connect to the 877 #. The address for BBU is 2840 Hwy 95 Silver Spring Nv. 89429
- No Name Please| 1 replyTHIS IS BOA PEOPLE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
There is no way these checks should be going thru.
Nothing should be coming out of my account without my signiture on it, end of story. Deal with another bank, refinance with the new lower rates at a back that does not sell it to BOA.- Caller: Nunya
- I HATE SCAMMERSSame thing happend to me!! this morning I checked my bank acct online and there was the $29.95 charge and an odd check number...I veiwed the check...wrong name, wrong address, right acct and routing numbers!! Funny thing is my maiden name is the one they have on there...I've been married for almost 6 years now, so I'm thinking they got info from a check of mine back then cause I've had this acct number for a long time! The address is wrong intentionally I believe...looked it up and the one they provided doesn't exist! Spoke with the bank as to why it wasn't flagged or stopped with incorrect info and was told if the acct info is correct the only thing that would stop it from going thru is a problem with the magnetic ink!! SCARY!! they don't even look at your name, address, or signiture anymore!! we are all just numbers now!! I did use a few payday loan places before, but never with my maiden name....i've only had two autodrawls from my acct...vonage,,,and transunion...so maybe one of their companies? Here's the even more scary part...Whenever I pay a bill over the phone or online..I tell some rep my acct info..anyone of them could write it down and take it home to use in a fraud scam or sell to one!! It only takes one bad intentioned employee,, or one document misses the shredder, or one fax goes to the wrong person...to make all this happen!!! I don't know about you but I won't be trying to call for a refund so they can further exploit my bank info....I'm filing charges, complaints, disputes, on monday closing my bank accts and paying by cash or money order from now on!! It's only gonna get worse!!
- I HATE SCAMMERS replies to No Name PleaseAre most people BOA customers that got scammed with this?? I bank with Firstmerit and it still went thru with incorrect info!! I agree that nothing should go thru unless verified and correct!!
- Jim from IAI was wondering the same thing. What do we all have in common? I had a credit card from BOA. Warning my family and friends to check their accounts.

- JoshI work for BBU Services in Lancaster, Ohio. We are an Environmental company and do not sell anything or offer any services online. We are no way involved with this, we do not deal with the Bank of America. I have recieved 21 phone calls since 6 Jan 2011 in reguards to the withdrawn amount of 29.95. The best plan of action for this is to contact your bank and then file a report with the FBI @ ic3.gov. BBU Services has filed a complaint with the FBI and we have also contacted the BBB in Columbus, OH so they are also aware of the situation.
Also, I spoke with DBA systems on 13 Jan 2011 and they were very rude with me and refused to comment on the situation. So it does not surprise me that the number has be disconnected.
I hope this information helps and that this gets resolved - clare| 4 repliesDoes anyone have blue cross insurance? Wondering cause this is the only e check that I have ever made for my 8 year old's policy and the check was in here name.
- clare replies to clare| 1 replyBy the way, do not bank with B of A but did have TBW loan like some of the people on here.
- Pissed Off in Orlando replies to JenThis BBU services is a piece of work. - ClareDoes/did anyone have Anthem Blue Cross/Blue Shield? This is interesting and might explain how they got our children or deceased spouses info.
http://www.esecurityplanet.com/news/article.p ... Data-Breach.htm
They even stole conversations between policy holders and customer service. So if any of us made a check by phone for payment, I think it might explain something. - ClareMore info on Blue Cross Security Breach.
http://www.internetnews.com/security/article. ... Data+Breach.htm - JonCongratulations. If you are viewing this page, then you have done as least as much research as me and Googled "BBU Services".
You may have called the 1-877-456-5171 (this was the number on mine) number on the check to inquire about the check to find that a company called "DBA Systems Group" answers the phone. However, they will inform you that they are only a 3rd party cancelation service. They'll ask for the TX (transaction) number which will be on check. They'll then without questions offer to cancel it and tell you that it will be 3-5 days. This is where I’m at right now.
You'll be left feeling a bit insecure since someone was able to make an unauthorized charge to your account and left wondering why this could happen. I investigated and found this page: http://www.ftc.gov/bcp/edu/pubs/consumer/telemarketing/tel06.shtm which lists the rules that a merchant must use when doing an electronic transfer. You'll note that they MUST have a confirmation from you, usually by recorded voice or written.
However there is a huge flaw in the process. The bank does NOT require any sort of authorization from the merchant. All they need is your account number. They send this with a picture of the check. The only real piece on the check that I believe they verify is the routing and account number. This explains why things such as wrong name and address are accepted.
Think you account number should be secure? Well it isn’t'. Think how many hundreds of people have seen your account number. Every person at every place that you have ever gave your number to. Even worse every person that you have ever given a check to and every person that they could of possibly shared that with. Think about it. So you close your account thinking that this will make you more secure. Yes, it does, but only because it is newer, not because it is more secure. You'll eventually give out that account number and people will have access to do the same. If you use the account at all, then it is hard to get around this. You may say "I'll just use my credit card for purchases!" Well how are you going to pay that credit card bill? Chances are you'll set up an EFT (electronic funds transfer) by giving them your account number... back to square one.
As I understand (from talking to my Banker at US Bank and doing some research on the web) there is a HUGE security flaw in the current EFT system. It is reactive, not proactive. This means that the burden is on you to prove your innocents, rather than the burden being on the merchant to prove their transaction is legit.
People, we need some new laws. Contact your congress rep, BBB, attorney general, police, or whoever you have to. Let’s put the burden back on the merchant.- Caller: No call
- rleisnerI didn't get a call but i had 29.95 taken from my bank account and the phone number is no good. I never authorixed these charges.

This guy owns/has his hand in about 50 different Neveada businesses. Wonder why?
Website has no info at all. Do not call htese people, they will not refund your money-IT IS A SCAM. THAT IS WHY THEY WON'T GIVE YOU ANY INFO ON WHO THEY ARE.
BBU AND DBA AND THE READY CASH PAY LOAN ARE ALL ONE AND THE SAME!!!
DO NOT GIVE THEM TX NUMBER, THEY HOPE YOU WILL, AND THEN ASSURE YOU YOU WILL GET A REFUND IN 3-5 DAYS SO YOU WON'T CONTACT YOUR BANK AND THEY WILL HIT YOU AGAIN. - JenWow this happened to me today, I just went to the bank(I bank at Wachovia) Same thing 29.95 right name and account # but wrong address. The bank is giving me the money back tomorrow but I had to close my account, 29.95 could turn into hundreds of dollars.
I heard someone mention Anthem Blue Cross, that is my husbands new Insurance Co through work but I do not remember ever sending them a check, I do not use payday loans so I am clueless.- Caller: BBU
