- James BondNo call for me, but I did get a nice letter charging me $190 for Petit Theft. What makes this so entertaining is that the name James Bond is a fictitious name we used for a business phone line added to the home office. They are obviously farming public records hoping to find some poor sucker who doesn't remember being charged with some crime in some court near where they live and who will then go 'oops I better call them with my credit card number.'
And, the James Bond in question is supposedly a 79 year old white guy. I am not 79, and I am not a guy.
I even went to the website to look up my supposed 'crime' that was in collections:

- GuyCall from vivian moore, when I called back I got someone else and they told me I had some kind of traffic tickets for over 900$ in a state I have never been in. When I told them I have never even been in the state they said that it was a very important matter and it could hurt my credit report so if it isn't me I have to send in my drivers license with the ticket(that they are going to send me in the mail since I never got a ticket from a state I have never been in)to prove that its not me.
I have never heard of the law going after people with a collection agency to get money for a traffic ticket. I always thought they would send a cop to your door giving you some kind of court summons or warning of some kind. I have never gotten any kind of ticket in my short life in the states I have been in, so I know I haven't gotten any tickets in states I haven't been to.- Caller: Alliance

- April Moriset replies to FedUpInSDHello, my name is April and I just wanted to let you know that there is actually a Vivian that works there, but if you can avoid contact with Alliance One, do so! They are a horrible, negligent company with the rudest staff that I have encountered ever. Horrible people who cause chaos!
- M WilliamLooking for MZWilliam, whom does not live here. Say they are a collection agency for the State of NM. Their caller ID (866-541-8420) is actually a number for a conference call center. Their number they leave on the message is 877-541-8420. Called back and was put on hold with lousy music for several minutes (twice). Told them we didn't even know what this was about and if it was real to send us a statement. We'll see...

- Don| 1 replyI have been receiving calls two or three times a week from Alliance One, asking us to phone back which I refuse to do. This has been going on for at leased two years now. Would like to get an automated coller that would phone them in the middle of the night.

- LaurenDebt Collection! Continuous calls for someone I've never heard of, and we've had the phone number for +7 yrs. I've tried twice to get off Alliance 1's call list. The automated message doesn't identify the company. The "customer service" agents will identify, but the employees are abrupt, rude, and never fully confirm that I've been removed from the list. It's sad that when the economy gets bad the scammers increase. Get them to stop calling me! I honestly don't know who Thomas Hardy is!!!

- LISACALLS ALL DAY EVERYDAY AND LEAVES NUMEROUS MESSAGES WHEN I DO NOT ANSWER CALLS BOTH HOME AND CELL PHONE NUMBERS. I HAVE SPOKEN TO SOMEONE NAMED SARA AND SOMEONE NAMED JASON. IF OTHER FAMILY MEMBERS ANSWER THEY TELL THEM ALL MY INFORMATION PLUS WHAT THE CALL IS REGARDING. THE PHONE CALLS CONTINUE EVEN AFTER MYSELF AND FAMILY TELL THEM TO STOP CALLING AND AFTER I SPEAK TO THEM THREE OR FOUR TIMES A DAY.

- delt with them before| 3 repliesAlliance One is the Government appointed collection agency for minor traffic violations and for collections of other tickets AFTER you've gone to court. If you feel that something is wrong, you can always go to your local court office and visit the 'alliance one' counter since they have one in each court house and fix it there or ask to see any tickets/violations that they have in collections with your signature on it so you can verify that it is not you. i have dealt with them on a few occassions for my small traffic tickets and things and they are [***] so i dont bother calling them back. i simply pay the payment that i was suppost to pay and let them keep calling until its all payed off. just so you know since alot of people are dumb and think its some sort of 'scam' or something.

- Rachel replies to DonTell me about it! This is why people don't have landlines anymore -- I never get solicitors on my cell #. These morons have been calling me ever since I got a landline about someone I have never heard of and will never hear of. I can't believe anyone would fall for their scams. I never answer, but they leave some long-winded messages on my voicemail repeating themselves over and over.
- Rachel replies to delt with them beforeI don't believe you. I think you're part of the scam.
- Anthony JPhone call for Anthony J regarding "business matter". When I inquired the type of business, she mentioned Government and Courts, but wouldn't give details. I called back without entering the extension (6635), waited for the next available operator, and determined the company name from him: Alliance One Financial. I hung up and immediately received a call asking if someone at my number called Alliance One. I hung up again and checked the number on the Internet. That's why I'm here . . .

- cup & saucerFor several YEARS I have been getting calls for "Brigidda Sally", a person unknown to me but who may have stayed here and given out this number when the house was rented. For at least 5 years other people have lived in the house, no one by that name. I have called numerous times to inform (Vivian or) whomever that their calls are in vain. I have asked to be removed from the call list. To NO avail. I continue to get calls now and then; I just hang up.

- Annoyed by EvaI received a call from 877-541-8420 someone named Eva. Eva asked to speak to ‘Carol’ which is my daughter’s name. I asked what was this about? Eva said she was from 'Financial Institute of Government' (funny name) and my daughter needed to call her back and Eva even gave me my daughter's case number to call back for. Thank goodness this 877-541-8420 is being reported so many times and can be found easily on Internet. I called Eva back to tell her to remove our number, don't ever call again. Eva had the nerves to tell me that her call was for my daughter. She insisted for my daughter to call her back. Did she hear me, I want my number to be removed ???

- Kendall| 2 repliesThey are not a scam. I saw I had two traffic tickets on my credit report in the state of FL which I thought my ex-boss took care of cause I had to drive his lazy ass. I called the court house and they had me call Alliance One. Everything was legit.
