I also had this happen. I called and spoke to someone who offered me 40.00 back. I refused and our conversation ended. I immediately contacted my bank and started a claim against them. The bank immediately credited the money back into my account, but did not guarantee me that they could recover all of it. They told me that most of the time in these circumstances they are able to recover the money. They said that disputing the charge with the bank is definitely the correct way to go about it, and that most of the time, their offer of some of the money back is just their way of negotiating how much they take from you. If they can get you to agree, they have made their money.

Call your bank and start a dispute of internet fraud. That is your best first step to get your money back. It is sad that these scumbags are preying on people that are typically looking for an honest way to make some money from home, especially in this economy. I hope they rot!

I signed up for what I thought was a no strings attached work from home internet link for $2.95 and 5 days later, today, they debited my account for $139.95! I called them and they told me that there was a 5 day trial period clearly started on the electronic info I read and signed and I said I do not remember seeing anything like that I would have certainly remembered seeing that you were going to charge me $139.95 after 5 days. Basically she said too bad. Sorry. She stated they will not charge me future charges, but could not reimbursed me for the $139.95.  I contacted my bank and put a stop payment on the transaction.  I hope they don't get away with my money.  I got a confirmation of cancellation email with account #  and contact # to 877-875-6080.  I contact the BBB and file a complaint with them.

This sure seems like a scam.  I read through the site to make sure there weren't any future charges.  I was told it was only .99 and you can get more information.  Then I see 139.95 out of my account.  They said I didn't read the terms and conditons but I try to be careful of these things.  They said they can only give me $40 back.  What can we do about this?  I spoke to a supervisor as well.  Sounded like she was 12.

On line job offered on 9/7/10. Wanting to charge 3.99 then not let me get out of page and continued with pop ups offer of job for less .99. I Said okay but then when i saw they wanted to charge more for another screen i said no and it would not let me get out of the page as before it continued to pop up. i received a call from my bank todey saying i was being charged 139.99 and wanted to know if i authorized amount. i said no. i called direct commerce academy at 800-422-1949 and Castady and Shakira could only reimburse me 40.00. i said no and the supervisor, Chris, i then spoke with said they do not do refunds.i then called direct commerce academy at 877-875-6080 Lindsey said my account is closed and can not refund the 139.99 I am requesting. I have not used their service and they should reimburse me the 139.99 on 9/13/10 charged to my visa on 9/12/10. Please assist with refund. if no respond by the company please send this complain to state department of consumer affairs.

I fell for this too, however, as soon as I saw the screen to set up website and to authorize monthly billing I stopped, not quick enough though.  I did give my card # out for the $2.97 as soon as I did it I knew I'd been had.  So I googled and sure enough.  So I quickly called my card company and cancelled the card # (debit) thank goodness...they won't even get the $2.97 from me.  My bank will be informed tomorrow as well.  Thank goodness I saw all your posts...never ever thought I'd fall for this.

File a report with the FBI www.IC3.gov now and also the Consumer Protection Agency.   I too was scammed for only $29.95 and won't let them get away with it.

I too was scammed.    For the last three hours I called the customer service department and got a name of Stephanie the supervisor in Utah.    These people were laughing at me at first but were very upset with me and my calls after three hours.  I also emailed Dr. Jay Schrader over 20 emails at drjay@epowerpros.com, about my refund, he attached his name welcoming me to the company.  I hope it makes him happy.   I know that the money will be deposited back to my account by my bank but the nerve of them taking more money out of my account.   Next time I will buy a credit card with Wal*Mart and deposit only the money needed when giving out my credit account number.    THAT WILL SOLVE THAT PROBLEM.    EMAIL FBI BUREAU AT www.IC3.GOV and the Consumer Protection Agency with a complaint.    Every one do the same.  The FBI will not do anything with one complaint.
