Be calm never panic ask for their business license and address,send you a copy of the original creditor debt,write a cease and desist letter, if they refuse do not send them a dime   try to record conversations keep all voice mail messages. Their names given are usually fake.  BEWARE  REMEMBER   a true collector will give you all this information first without threats

They stupid how funny!!!!

This is another number form 'ACS' 888-749-9962. Spoke with a kimberly, Amber and I asked who their attorney was and he said Jeremy Whitlock!!!! Same crap said I was going to be served and when I was calling them out on this they hung up and then a lady called and left me a very rude and ugly voicemail! I have recieved 3 calls like this within 2 weeks! I am sick of it!!! I asked for the fax# and he said they could not give that out because it was for the attorney's use only! They told me thay are going to call my bank and all kinds of stuff and I told them that i can sue them for violating the FAIR DEBT ACT here in Kentucky and they went on and on! DO NOT fall for this!!! They are doing this to millions and at first I did give my bank info and then i called the Attorney General and then called the other company back and told them that I was not paying for this scam and I had already contacted my bank and so forth and they were not going to give up! I was a scared mess when i recieved the first call and mind you, these were 3 different companies but they are all alike! Please watch out!

I got the same message but the phone number is different 877-837-2566.  I have gotten payday loans but they have been paid.  This is embarrassing.  They threatened my family, former employer and me personally.  It's ridiculous. I reported to the FTC.

I received a call from a "Monica Evans" who called from an UNKNOWN #. She left a voicemail on my phone & on my sister's phone saying she was a State Process Server sayin I attempted to fraud a financial institution & I can settle outside of court & if not they will serve me @ home & at work.  She said this was their 2nd & final attempt & I never got the 1st attempt so she left a # 866-367-3741. So I call & get a mans voice  then a woman answers. I can't remember her name but she said there were fraud charges some online payday loan saying i owed over $1000 from 2007 or 2008 that was all the interest. I wasn't too sure but i ended up making payment arrangements but i still was a little iffy. They got $96 out of me but thanks to all the posts here I QUICKLY cancelled my card. They sent me an email confirming my payment arrangements & it was a letter with ACS as the letterhead & it just said "per our conversation" blah blah blah & then it was signed Jeremy Whitlock whom I never spoke with! oh the letter was sent vía email & said if any questions call 888-216-8123.

On 06/06/12 I received a blocked call at 4:20 pm from a Jeanna Dever from ACS (1-888-426-5187) stating that she had a court summons for me.  She stated that if I did not respond by 10:00am on 06/07/12 I would be served at my home and my place of employment.  I called the number and luckily I got an answering machine.  I then googled them to find all these posts.  These people are nothing but a scam.

If they were are LEGITIMATE debt collector, they must send something via snail mail - NOT email.  These peeps are bottom of the barrel scumbags.  IGNORE any and all calls, let them threaten all they want.  IF you get VM messagea with the threats, save them, sue them!

Thanks ST. I'm so glad I followed my instincts & did some further research. Friday I got a message from a "Mr Stone" once again from an UNKNOWN #. He left message saying my payment declined & if they didn't hear from me by 3pm that day they would be forced to refer my case back to my county. Im upset that I didn't ask more questions. I'm usually not so quick to give my information like that. Better late then never though. I have since cancelled my card & put fraud alerts on all 3 credit bureaus. Another # they left for me to call was 1-866-409-6241. Ridiculous these people even exist & have nothing better to do than harass people.

GC thank goodness you didn't fall victum to their scam. I wonder though if they can do anything since I made these payment arrangements on a supposedly 'recorded' line?

hello, this company has called me at my job and threatened me and said all the things i read from everyone else i reported them to my local police office. i too am very upset at the way these;[***] and their scare tactics are ridiculous, i am contacting my state attorneys office tomorrow and filing a complaint too. this scam needs to be stopped asap as they are very aggressive and stupid. hope everyone takes notice and reports this to officials. thank you

Started getting calls from this company yesterday. Since I did take out a loan 5 years ago, I called "Jennifer Collins" back. She indicated that I owed over $1,000 dollars, and that they would take 3 installment payments of $350 each(I find it funny that that is the exact amount they try to get out of most people, $350). I told her that I thought the loan was paid off, but agreed to look into the matter and call back the next day(today). She emailed me a very fishy, generic PDF document with the amount listed that I owed, my name, the pay day advance company, and it was signed by none other than Jeremy Whitlock. My husband did some research previously in the day and of course found this and numerous other forums detailing that these people are scammers. They have called me twice this morning already, once to let me know my case was only on 'hold' until 10 this morning, and then again a few minutes ago from "Hannah" letting me know she was the process server and would be making her rounds shortly<rolls eyes>. I did not call these people back and I refuse to do so(I'm pissed at myself for even giving them my email address and have subsequently changed my password just in case). Long story short, I emailed them back demanding debt validation under Title VIII of the FDCPA to be physically mailed to my address, and that I refused to have any further contact with them via phone/email, and that if they continued to harass my by calling my home and cell phone that I would contact the proper authorities.

I have been thru this very same thing, calls after calls and on my job as well, tired of it. The next time they call I'll just tell them to hold on and call my county court or police station and put them on three way lets see what holds to be true. So upsetting we all have to stand up and do something. Please answer their calls and stand up because if not they will continue to be persistant and keep calling!!! If anything follow suite because it is fraud and a scam they will not want to talk and will quickly get off the phone. Maybe at a point to where you will no longer receive calls!

they are calling me about a loan that was paid off in full as of June 8, 2012

I just paid them $200 because they were threatning to come up to my job and have me served....even talked to my supervisor......and my supervisor pulled me into the office and said if they come up here I could be fired...i hope i didnt just get scammed....but i got all of their information....so we shall see...

This is a scam I was employed by them not to long ago and they are a scam they really not process server they are debt collectors they are located off of Dave Lyles Blvd in rock hill,SC behind the mcallisters in the building that says us census bureau. Its all a scam and all you have to do is hang up they can't do nothing but call the numbers they have on file. If they call tell them you want to talk to Jeremy whitlock and when you do get a hold of him his real name is Zack his ext is 345 if you don't get him contact the 1800 number and hit extension 319 her name is heather fox she is in he. The names theye are fake name called shake names they call as process servers them wen you call in they act like a different person when they're the same person who called you. This is a scam try what I said guaranteed to work.

They are using a new phone number: 1-866-923-6324. The "lady" who called me identified herself as "Jennifer Adams" and claimed to be on contract with the state of Oklahoma and was going to serve me at home or at work if I did not contact her within 24 hours. The entire voicemail message sounded fiushy and scripted. The lady sounded African-American.

Wow I wish I would of looked up more info on these ppl I made payment arrangements with them they said they would do a wage detachment come to my job, home and if I couldn't get served then I would have a warrent for my arrest. Had me freaking out but then I started to think I never got papers I'm working on cleaning up my credit and this debt never came up and it's funny they only take payments with cards well I'm over it they did play me but they will never get anothe dime from me.  Oh yea they call from 866-409-6241 and I talk to mr. Stone, mr. Louis, ms. Olivia jones hahaha it's funny listening to all my voice mails they the same damn ppl!! And now they sheriffs ready to surve me. ACF it's a joke

In the last 3 days we have received 17 phone calls from 17 different numbers we have spoken to a Neil Jones and a Samantha and the compliance manager for ace group and just found out today that they are a scam when we were able to contact our loan place and getting them to confirm that we didn't owe nething else they told my husband that he would be arrested at work if he did not pay 810.00 they had him freaking out thinking that he was going to jail so I did a little research and found all these complaints and I also found them on bbb and they are not accredited the bbb on a scale of a+ to f the acs group received an f but I am shocked at the lack of complaints the bbb has revieved on them cause I read all of these complaints and there's hundreds but only 13 complaints filed in the last 3 yrs. But I am standing up for our rights and I will be the start of alot of crap unfolding on these scumbags, bet that.
