- devo replies to Mike| 1 replyThey have called at home several times, it shows "Inbound Number" using Cox digital telephone, then my cell phone will ring next showing 877-671-1851. I had meant to call it back, as I know that when Sprint calls it doesn't identify them as "Customer Service" as we would hope for. Whenever using the automated service, online services such as chat, or calling in to customer service, they do a customer service survey. I had called back before and completed the survey. This call in particular is not related to a survey, it's regarding "adding a line". If you call it back, it does not charge you for the minute usage, just like the survey's, or calling customer service (*2). I called the number back, and pressed 6 to opt out of the "add a line" calls.
- devoI just posted under my nickname devo. I have more to add for you. I just called Sprint customer service (*2) from my cel phone. I got Amanda, and told her the story of this number and how it has confused and upset many Sprint customers. She had put me on hold to find out if this is a valid inbound number for marketing with Sprint. She said that it was indeed a call for selling Sprint services. I informed her that if a Identification can come with the number, more people may pick up the phone and Opt out of the call, because it will keep calling, until you call it back and press 6 to be Opted out of "adding a line". However, to be Opted out of all Sprint calls (with exception of the customer service feedback call that occurs within 1/3 days) call Customer Service and ask to be Opted out of all Sprint calls. I am now Opted out of all Sprint calls, except for customer care surveys.
- Call type: Telemarketer
- Sprint userI called the number back and it explained that it was calling to tell about a promotion. Press 5 if you are interested, 6 if you are not, phone call over. I don't have a problem with this. At least it gives you a way out.
- Bre replies to KevinI received a call from this number and they wanted to add a line and change my plan. I called Sprint directly and asked about it, they told me that based on the information in their system, Sprint did not call me and do not give any information to this caller.
- john doe replies to Jaded| 6 repliesDoes anyone read the comments before posting. It was mentioned previously that this number is not sprint but a phone scam. Likely a phising scam to steal personal info or your identity or something. There is a lot of this sort of thing going on. A lot of the scammers will even do ID spoofs to make it look like they are calling from a different number. As internet security preventing such scams through email and the likes decreases the old methods of scamming increases.
- JeanYes, I just started getting these calls from this number just this month. Those are my minutes they are using up. I've had their service for 10 years and never had this occur before. Had to laugh when I read the other messages that the calls got dropped mid-conversation. One of the benefits of Sprint service, ha ha.
- Caller: Spring
- Call type: Unwanted
- Cookiemanharassment they won't stop calling
- Caller: ?
- Sick_of_SprintI just received my third call in about 3 weeks from Sprint wanting to know if I would like to add a line. I have pressed the option to stop the calls and that didn't work. Last week I called customer service and the guy on the phone explained that it can take up to 30 days for my request to stop calling to go through! That's ridiculous!

I'm not returning his call. - Uncle Al replies to Bensp60| 1 replyMe, too. I've answered it twice, and the call got dropped both times. I can't believe they're wasting my air time this way.
- MrT replies to Tomas| 1 replyI called the number back and it was Sprint. They are trying to sell additional lines, etc. You can hit 6 to inform them you are not interested. Hopefully this will end these calls.
Good thing they called, when I am interested in a additional line...now I know who to call.
